There's no difference between this and Snowrunner. Snowrunner was the final stamp into arcade territory. Saber made it clear. That's why I'm not purchasing any more DLC's for Snowrunner and would skip this one entirely.
@@kak8895 Snowrunner is a little bit more realistic - you don't have winch point that you can place everywhere (and remove to use it again), water depth indicator or a chance to put vehicle on it's wheels instantly. Although the gameplay seems interestingly challenging, It seems they stuck to the same arcadish feeling of Snow Runner, ditching away the ground braking realism from Spin Tires... mehh, I was still holding some hope, but now I can see this game is a no go for me.
@@2k2malin I mean, I can actually enjoy mudrunner on console, unlike how spintires ever was tbh, and thats likely where a lot of success came from. That, and a lot more polishing
Limited gameplay footage so far but overall, it unfortunately looks like a mobile game version of iys former self. What I really want to know is, how do the spintires/mudrunner original devs feel right now after seeing this gameplay. Its miles off in the opposite direction of the original series design and intent. Is this really what sabers data is telling them? That this is what there player base wants, with even more agressive arcade style and watered down physics than snowrunner. Lol and at a premium price of $60US + I find that hard to believe but I guess we will see come March
I was gonna say the mobile stuff too. I've played offroading mobile games in hopes of finding mudrunner/snowrunner mobile equivalent, and the colors of this demonstration almost seem a little washed out like in mobile games. We'll have to see when its fully released, but I'm not terribly fond of how it looks compared to SR I too am confused as to why saber seems to be favoriang arcade mechanics and gameplay. Like, most people who are into offroading like it because of how it feels; realism in particular. Also, anyone who may pick up the game even without being a huge offroad fan likely won't buy the tons of dlcs that saber outputs. Most people, are inclined to enjoy realism, not the arcadey feeling gameplay, so why is saber pushing in this direction?
@@Gracefulwarrior2124 I agree. I can only speculate for now off the limited gameplay that came out today. It does seem that the intent of the main gameplay is trying to follow close to the previous titles. But specifically the driving physics and terrain reaction with the vehicles is all moved towards the arcade feel. I think what made it tolerable and addictive in snowrunner was cargo hauling focus that required the player to apply strategy and planning to achieve the contract. Also the many different options you could create and choose to complete that contract is what kept the player engaged and made the gameplay enjoyable, which lead to the lesser quality physics being easier to overlook and accept. This new game is just solely scout exploration oriented, with some recoveries and small supplies delivery. Which is fine, but with that being the only gameplay goal...I feel like that means that the other main game mechanic (driving) is going to have to be reward/pleasure aspect of the game. To me that's not the case anymore, because the driving physics are downgraded away from that original feel and have been since snowrunner. Even more so now with the recovery system in this game, just one example. The Jackscrew just auto resets the positioning of your vehicle. No more need to use recovery vehicle with winch or crane. Now all sense of tension and careful driving is removed because there's no consequence to bad driver. Besides limited jackscrew availability. But it still removes the sense of tension and frustration you would get if their were definitive consequences to your bad driving. So I think for this new game to be rewarding and enjoyable, the driving aspect has to be spot on feel great because there seems to be no other game mechanic fueling that reward/pleasure aspect besides the driving itself...and it would seem that alot of people are not satisfied with the current driving physics. Just my opinion, some completely disagree. Some people think the majority of the player base now wants and enjoys the new arcade style and that's why it's all moving in this direction.
I just hope they would add the Tyre pressure Mechanic to Snowrunner, bcs that would make the gameplay mutch more interesting + they should remove the rocks from all the roads on the Maps, bcs it makes driving on the road god dam hell if you just hit a single tiny Rock
@@J.A.P_8950 Yea, like in regards to the cargo, you actually felt like you were doing something to help, or you made it easier for yourself to do stuff. Also what you said; you actually have to think about what to do instead of just blindly following a goatpath with an oversized cargo lol. In expeditions, it just doesn't feel like there's any reason to do stuff. I mean, there are missions and objectives, but I don't want to do those things just for the sake of doing them; its much more fun to do it for a purpose, either through a limited story of helping in some way, or for seeing how your contributions change things, through cutscenes for example. Expeditions seems to remove the major defining factor of snowrunner, and puts in some features that kinda remove the whole point of offroading, such as the anchors, and the jackscrews (which btw are some really large jackscrews to flip your entire vehicle. It just kinda seems unreal and awkward tbh lol). I mentioned this in a couple of SD's other expedition videos, but unless expiditions does something different, it'll just be snowrunner but less. Turns out my suspicions are mostly coming true😔
@@Gracefulwarrior2124 with the limited gameplay video we are got so far, all those characteristics you just mentioned are what remains to be seen that will probably be the determining factor on wether to purchase or not. As one of the old fans of the game, I left modding due to deception by the developers. And here we are again with the same game, on the same engine with the same physics that was killed in SnowRunner. The best physics was in MudRunner. It’s not surprising, since the developer was Pavel Zagrebelny.
The fact that they (apparently) only put non licensed vehicles says a lot, like being a low budget game, which I think would’ve been better to invest into improving SnowRunner itself, most of the vehicles shown are the ones a use less in SR, I would like to try it but I really think this is not what most of SR wanted.
They show a Tatra FORCE and a loadstar in the video, but I get what you’re saying. It’s like they put all the innovation people wanted in snowrunner (deserts, new types of addons, etc) into a different game as well as adding a bunch more arcade mechanics.
Great to see that you are getting invited to play and showcase it early, congrats! Would have loved to see the repair system a little more improved and detailed and not so generic. For example the need to repair specific parts of the engine depending on the damage (piston failure, belt broken, alternator or battery, spark plugs, etc) things that can happen on an expedition. Also in all the footage I didn’t saw any deep mud gameplay, is there any?
New graphics sometimes looks like an old SuperMario game for some reason. And that's exactly the opposite direction from MudRunner, where the devs should have been going, if they wanted to make SnowRunner better.

@diprosla592 yeah I wouldn't hold your breath. The UI hasn't had any major changes ever as far as I can remember. I don't see why they would change it now. While they have said they will continue supporting Snowrunner alongside this one for the time being, I suspect it'll be limited to the seasonal material, ie a new map and maybe a new vehicle.
we need breakable parts and spares. for exampe an axle or a hub and you can lear your vehicle and replace parts when you break them. also reccon Australia would be a good map
Have hundreds of hours into MR/SR. At first I was excited. Then I watched the video. Now I am sad. Here's to hoping they keep releasing more seasons for SR for the foreseeable future!
I don't know if releasing more season for SR would be a good thing because they can't or won't innovate much in new seasons as game is too big...so its gonna be either same old stuff or OP stuff both of which makes the game boring after some time.
Saber have successfully devolved the franchise into another boring toy game for casuals. Instant skip. There's already far too many games for casuals and far too less for gear heads.
Man i wish they would make this game in year 2 and change it up were your scouting best routes+ places to build roads and bulidings / grages / gas stations then half way in year 2 or 3 u start buliding the infrastructure to do what mudrunner and snowrunner do best and they can leave all this exploring stuff as side quests
How can me and my 2 boys possibly pre-order Expeditions when we can't even play Snowrunner on Xbox X without it crashing? The other day I drove 200 meters and crash. It even crashed loading from save!
Great information and video! Do you know if the game is going to have wheel support for consoles (Logitech, Fanatec, etc)? Any additional information is greatly appreciated! Thank you!
All I see is a bunch of features that should have been added to snowrunner a long time ago. Seriously, if its money you are after, Ill gladly pay to continue Snowrunner, but a new game is a new commitment that I'm not going to be taking.
No proper graphical improvments like headlight shadows or anything after 4+ years. Very disappointing. Oh look they brought back the tire pressure from Spintires...
This looks good from gameplay side but i am disapointed there aren´t much new trucks/cars to play. Tho if they ale have different driving models i am fine with it.
The mod vehicles with unlimited money in Snow Runner blew away the entire Mud Runner game. Did you notice any "ghost damage", basically where you're just driving and you get 80 suspension damage from nothing? This happened all the time on the main road in Taymyr @@SD1ONE
i just hope the Tyre pressure will be added to SNOWRUNNER, bcs it would make the driving mutch better
@@diprosla592 Exactly. If we are to get Yearpass 4, this option should also appear in SnowRunner. Of course, it works not only visually. Regards!
"Sam, don't forget to take the Bridge Baby with you. It's tough out there and you need all the help you can get."
its just hard moded snowrunner, but for full price
those people who will buy this should get a mental health check first.
not even that bad. full price games nowadays are £59.99. this is £34.99
@@sepslither8158 u talking about full price AAA game
It looks alright but definitely being made more for the casual crowd. Hopefully in another three or four years we'll get an actual runner sequel.
we need breakable parts and spares. for exampe an axle or a hub and you can lear your vehicle and replace parts when you break them. also reccon Australia would be a good map
The same gearbox system as snowrunner? What a shame. I hope there is a manual option in the final game or count me out.
yea you can forget it.
I love what theve done. Witch is surprising to me i didn't think id like it.
lol
licenceplate SH1SH16A means Sheesheega - russian common name for that truck
Have hundreds of hours into MR/SR. At first I was excited. Then I watched the video. Now I am sad. Here's to hoping they keep releasing more seasons for SR for the foreseeable future!
I don't know if releasing more season for SR would be a good thing because they can't or won't innovate much in new seasons as game is too big...so its gonna be either same old stuff or OP stuff both of which makes the game boring after some time.
Saber have successfully devolved the franchise into another boring toy game for casuals. Instant skip. There's already far too many games for casuals and far too less for gear heads.
Seems to me like nothing but a Diet Coke version of Snowrunner with a new coat of paint
I wish playing the winch out would also be put into SnowRunner and MudRunner
Yeah the push wich and anchors and i really hope the tire pressure
Man i wish they would make this game in year 2 and change it up were your scouting best routes+ places to build roads and bulidings / grages / gas stations then half way in year 2 or 3 u start buliding the infrastructure to do what mudrunner and snowrunner do best and they can leave all this exploring stuff as side quests
How can me and my 2 boys possibly pre-order Expeditions when we can't even play Snowrunner on Xbox X without it crashing? The other day I drove 200 meters and crash. It even crashed loading from save!
They need to make water physics more realistic and add more cars like a Bentley with big tires and suspension upgrades and stuff
Awesome, thanks for this mini review. I think it will be an interesting game.
Disappointment. This game is definetly worse than snowrunner
I don't know man. Snowrunner is more my thing not this. So Snowrunner S4 will be welcome for now
I just hope we get some features retroactively added to snowrunner
I want a full on Sim, like if you took Snowrunner and married it to the physics of say, Gran Tourismo. I want something as close to real as possible
Beamng drive..?
Can you tell me what is the TTS you are using in this video?
Be cool if they added VR support as a post-launch add on
I really enjoyed completing the blackwater-map in mudrunner with my loved russian trucks... but this... maybe i will have look later. MAZ 543 🥰
No semi trailers? Well I just took this one off my wishlist. Hard pass
i ordered a copy from ebay and it’s arriving in 3 days
Im still playing with the original 2014 spintires.😊
try 2020 one, its also good once you used to it
I like what I see.
can you use 2 trucks in one mission, e.g heavy truck to rescue truck then at middle use offroad trucks, free to choose your trucks
Great information and video! Do you know if the game is going to have wheel support for consoles (Logitech, Fanatec, etc)? Any additional information is greatly appreciated! Thank you!
Downgrade imo
Man what a freakin disappointment. I don’t like any of this.
First time I’ve heard you narrate ! Sweet
its AI actually
Bruh😭
lmao@@ChimmyBean
Dude you’re the dumbest person in the entire world.
@@SD1ONE What AI is it? Best AI voice I've ever heard
All I see is a bunch of features that should have been added to snowrunner a long time ago. Seriously why asset flip out a new game when you can just add those features into your existing game as a major expansion DLC. Seriously, if its money you are after, Ill gladly pay to continue Snowrunner, but a new game is a new commitment that I'm not going to be taking.
Since I have started offroading in BeamNG Drive, I don't want to offroad in any other game.
Great vid thanks for the info not sure what to make of it so far 🤔
well, I tried to make sense from what was given to me...I was not allowed to record my own gameplay..so thats that
@@SD1ONE Look forward to seeing some gameplay and thanks again
It would be better if they add some vehicles from Mudrunner as its a Mudrunner game..good job for the video👍👍
Why can't the driver get out of the vehicle?
No proper graphical improvments like headlight shadows or anything after 4+ years. Very disappointing. Oh look they brought back the tire pressure from Spintires...
This looks good from gameplay side but i am disapointed there aren´t much new trucks/cars to play.
Tho if they ale have different driving models i am fine with it.
The mod vehicles with unlimited money in Snow Runner blew away the entire Mud Runner game. Now this new Expedition game will have a hard time beating what Ive already mentioned, Snow Runner players with $50 billion and 50 bad ass trucks and 4x4 wont be switching over to a new game for a drone and new UI
is the physic the same of SR?
more or less yes
How is the gameplay physics of cars as compared to MudRunner?
its similat to SR not MR
@@SD1ONE Oh! I was hoping it to be like MR. well, thanks.
@@SD1ONESadly not surprising. Hopefully SR gets some stuff from this game at least.
Oh what the hell. I was expecting them to re-implement chassis flex. OH COME ON, even the original game had it.
I looking forward for this game!!
Expeditions looks GREAT!
looking forward to it, i hope the do launch on steam on day 1 , i regrett getting it on epic
yup...infact I played steam version
sweet thats really good news !@@SD1ONE
I rebought snowrunner on steam. Nomore bullshit anymore 😂
Will it have co-op?
Good looks more fun not a pain in the ass
"GTA Top 10 RUNE | LADA cars we need in GTA VI | RUNE DLC"
Will there be mods for console like snowrunner
Interesting indeed. A different approach on Mudrunner series. Will it have co-op option?
Yes, confirmed co-op by one of the devs in the Snowrunner discord.
the version I played had no such option... but the did promised co-op so maybe either in final game or like sometime later
"Frame modules are modular in nature..." No shit, Sherlock! :D
Hopefuly game system requirmnts will be as SnowRunner.
Im unsure, but a few new games are moving away from ps4, so there will likely be a time in the near future where it'll become a problem
@@Gracefulwarrior2124 I have PC but old one. So hopefuly this game will work on my computer. The new ETS2 and ATS do not work on my computer anymore when they ijncresed the minimum system requiments.
I’ve wanted to see a good simulator with nice physics. For example they could’ve just put animals to the game to develope farming and add hunting. It would make world look more realistic. Expeditions to the north pole and more new recognisable scouts. More regions with normal roads a and different cities. I think this was the direction they had to move. Im scared it will look like Rocket Leage
Are the physics more like Mudrunner? After going from Mudrunner on PC to Snowrunning on Xbox Series 1 S, I miss Mudrunner's physics. Especially the scouts, in Snowrunner they act like they hardly weigh anything, bounce around a lot and tip over really easily...not a fan. This looks pretty neat though!
Does multiplayer have dedicated servers or it's still P2P?
Bit concerned about the lack of a garage inmap. But also aware we haven't had any real gameplay videos to see how the garage system actually works.
Will keep an eye on this....
Yea I was thinking the same kinda worried
I want to keep driving thought heavy terrain. I dont want so many RPG tools.
And UI looks overloaded and flat for me. SR UI is much more aesthetic.
They didn't know how to repair the trailers, so they removed them...
I dont think hauling trailer would fit map design of this game
No trailers ? A lot less interesting...it's like they don't care about their player base ^_^
@papimtl9885 Idiot. Lot of players liked exploration part of snowrunner. A operate game just for that doesn't sound bad.
@@frankreynolds9930 strong point, telling people they're idiots on the internet ;-)
What I'm saying, like maaany others, is that this doesn't look like it's complete/big enough for being a whole game. Snowrunner could have easily benefited from the little improvements, with an "Exploration mode" DLC. But hey, you'd have figured by yourself, smart as you are, I'm just an idiot after all :-)
@@papimtl9885 First snowrunner games aren't even priced $60 yet have so much content. Also with no cargo delivery dont know how it would fit in current game.
Also most AAA games sequel could be dlc instead of new game yet fans would gladly pay $70 for 20hr content and be satisfied while expect some physics simulator with AA game which is priced $40.
Why does look time RC toys? Completely different vibe than snowrunner!!!
Is this AI who read it? 😄 Great video! Also looking better than expected, however, I know right away that I will miss hauling cargo :( . Kola and its exploration was fun but onmy because it had good ratio. Will keep a look at this game and maybe consider buying it....
Yeah his Indian voice sounds way better than this AI crap.
Im pretty sure it is AI voice generated, but tbf, there was far more talking required than his average videos, so it's understandable
