I’ve been growing for 35 years but at least thirty of those were done in secret. Between the law, nosy neighbours and general paranoia, learning was entirely trial and error. It’s almost like I learned nothing for all that time. Just getting set up for my first tent grow and feel entirely out of my element. Total newbie 😂

I know exactly how you feel! I did get a chance to grow commercially for a few years but that wasn’t very fun😂. Craft growing is always improving. Trial & error doesn’t really exist anymore with technology.
I believe the prohibition mindset is hard to get rid of. 😊

To be honest, I've been growing for about 20 years. I would never call myself a master but I do like to study the craft as much as I can. From old school screw in light bulbs to now high efficiency LED lighting.❤❤ And my biggest advice would be never stop learning and don't be afraid to kill a few. You've got to crack a few eggs before you make a decent omelet.
Still seems surreal that we can now grow weed & talk publicly about it...

Scotty shows a lot of humility with admitting his mistakes. I have completed many harvests and ever more mistakes along the way and I know all about being upset with yourself when mistakes are made. Growing this plant is fascinating to me

Yeah I have been learning for the last 25 years and I’m always amazed by all the new stuff that comes along with better research since legalization happened and all the new technologies for growing cannabis is amazing for sure the monitors and sensors are amazing!

I got a blueberry muffin (humbolt seed company) that was started in a 6x6 rockwool. Converted to soil with foxfarm ocean forest and medium feed of grow dots in a 3.9 gallon autopot. Im excited to see what the grow dots do im gonna go with a 4 week veg and flip them. Will come back with an update.

Hi Sproutt, good luck with your grow. I have a Blueberry muffin from Humboldt that I plan to flip to flower next week. It's growing on newmillinem in promix with the drain to waste method.

I used grow dots on my last grow for the first time. These dots do everything Scotty says they do. Awesome product, and a big time saver for us growers on the go.
Do you need to ph water with grow dots?
I’ve only been growing for 2 years. It’s really pretty simple, it’s only as complicated as you make it. I grow in no till soil, no ph or ec etc. I top dress once a month and use tap water and get very good quality bud. Good genetics are a must.
I have been growing for 10 years and I am 22. Yes, that math is correct! My master was my parents, as they
were some of the earliest caregivers locally. Legal growing was just a past of my childhood. Eventually I started my own plan ts instead of helping out my folks and let me tell you. Failure after a failure after a failure. I had much to learn. Even with all this experience, my first few great plants happened only a few years ago.
Seriously guys, cool show! been watching for a while now, love the recharge and the dots. Simplified my life so much, haven't had a single problem yet! And this includes bonsai and mother plants...its just amazing simple stuff
My folks didn't smoke or grow, but when I was 14 and my mom found my Mexican bag seed seedlings 😂 she had a bit of a talk with me about silence, she let me keep them and even encouraged me. She even asked me for some beans when I was like 17, I asked her what she intended to do with them and she told me to mind my business, a few months later I was checking out her plants in the window garden which she kept since I was a child and sure as shit there was a baby 1 foot tall ganga plant, it made my heart melt. Thanks mom.

Hey I grow for lief chief in Washington, we grow super boof, it is supposed to be blockberry renamed. Massive buds that taste like candy. They purple up in spots and leafs turn reddish purple toward the end. Great bud

Been growing for about 20 years now, 15 odd of them quite hardcore and I can comftorbly say that Im starting to get the hang of this gardening stuff.
In these past 5 odd years I have really started to hone it in and I would honestly say im intermediate at best, I still learn to this day.

I have been growing for 30+ years and started from an old book titled '' Grow Your Own Stone ". At age 14 was a true bible.....

I think the struggle now isn’t the availability of the information it’s the quality of it that makes it harder I def feel I confused myself at first trying to learn everything at once much better to learn as you go and not try to have a phd before you get a seed wet.

Made a huge rookie mistake this time around, killed 3 out of my 5 popped seeds cuz I planted them too deep, learned my lesson for sure.
Here is the secret. About the green thumb. Some people have perfect water. The right ph and elements that just right. Like my cousin.
My water is messed up. Really low ph and just horrible.

I can grow better than I can buy anyways, with maybe a few out there absolutely killing it with top shelf available . we have to protect grow rights for personal use PERIOD!!!!!!

Mycologist / forager myself and that fungi photographer is well known in the community. I dunno about out west but Kent Square in PA has a mushroom festival every summer.
I got a job at the Lake Marina, baiting hooks , they said if I worked hard for 5 years, I would move up to a Master Baiter.
Haaaa haaaaa that’s all I kept thinking when they kept saying it
The first time I heard "master grower" was when medical companies started up in Canada. Master Grower was a job title Health Canada put on their forms, like master electrician.

All I can say is make sure that is can handle the watts your lights and whatever else u plug in to them I try find the highest watts rating go from there
Tbh I rly like the controller 69 from ac Infinity and it controls everything.
General Electric has great ones

I say I'm a master gardener because I not only have grown cannabis but just about everything you can think of, millions of types of plants exist All over the earth
I read Marijuana Growers insider edition by Mel Frank in 1989 cover to cover 3 times. I made a false wall in a closet & had my first grow room. All these years later, I just started with my first tent & Led light. It’s not going well in my 4 DWC buckets. I think something got into the system & it did something weird I’ve never had happen. Yellow on new growth. Cal mag, switch nutrients & higher ppm & ph & they still look like crap. My grow friends can’t figure it out either. I don’t mind learning as we are never done learning, but it’s so embarrassing!!!!!🤦🏻♂️

I don't like the term master grower so I'm a lead grower for a commercial grow....the new owners came in and called me a master grower and I had to explain that I'm a lead grower
I totally agree with the work/play topic. I had been a bicycle mechanic for 26-27 year's, and when people would mention "you get paid to work on bikes all day" and I would reply "No, I get paid to play with bicycles all day".

I put crab meal in my compost and it killed my brand new clones instantly, the very next attempt i left week old clones in pots on the cement and they died from the heat in one hour.

Number two question for the website, where is the grower and Answer heading? A lot of times people might just want to answer a few questions while they’re taking a crap. They don’t wanna go through 100 dank nugs that will never even be shown on the show.
I’m not going to check my privilege. It is what it is different people have different sets of options to choose from in their life. I’m not interested in carrying the weight of The word privilege. Which has been now used in such a way that it is negative and not something anyone wants. I’m not doing it. I’m not going down that road.
For the noob growers. Temperature and humidity are the most important. A long with a good base npk nutrient and a ph pen if you are growing with synthetic nutrients. I would recommend gh flora line for the first time grower.
Whats your opinion on Vegging below 20% humidity on purpose?

growth will be very slow under low humidity in veg.
however 20-30% is good for the last 2 weeks of flower to promote more resin production.
@@weedseeds5211 ive been vegging in 20% humidity and 13 hrs since 05 and im under 10% in flower the whole time…i flower in 10/14 also… maybe another no no.

It’s not like it’s hard to get a job in the industry, if you want to run the lab at one of these companies or even get into the lab you need to go to actual college you’re better off just getting a job or just teaching yourself it’s not that hard
