Years ago, my two friends and I started a small "Grow-op co-op" if you will. We had three rooms going at all times, on about a six week rotation. The advantage was you always had other prisoners with you in 'trim jail' ... and the stash was always fat and happy. Never short of the next great strain. The turn arounds were very quick (usually one day from cutting a crop down to having the next crop in the cleaned room the next day.) We always had the next crop teed up ready to go. We sold one quarter of each crop to cover costs, and we each got one quarter of each crop for our efforts. This worked well for a couple of years until situations changed in the lives of the participants. Nice way to get a perpetual grow, if you've got a couple of grow buddies.
Multiple flower rooms for the win!
I harvest, set veg plants to flower and pop seeds all in the same weekend. My veg time is the time it takes for the flowering plants to finish. It’s been working out well. Going to have 5 harvests this year.
As far as clones go I’d rather have more than not enough. If I can’t give the extras away I don’t think twice about trashing them lol
I'm doing the same cycle. Plants in the veg tent go as long as flower takes. I'll get 4 or 5 harvests this year.

You can harvest every 60-70 days if your rotation is right. I had 2 rooms. I had a station for cloning, my reverse osmosis/nutes and other supplies in one half. The other half is clones/veg plants. This was years ago. ALOT has changed. But our rotation worked. I miss it SO much! I'm not seeing anything about super cropping? When do you all do that? And stretch? I bent every branch over/down and tied it to my pots. With that and strong fans because they LOVE resistance, I'd then have nothing but cola's! Like baseball bat cola's. Lollipop it good and you have little popcorn, because it ALL gets light!

Four cuttings in cups under 24/7 light, four veg plants in 3 gallon pots under 24/7 light, four flower plants in five gallon pots under 12/12 light. Perfect perpetual system.

Preach it Scotty, I bought some cheaper S/S shelving for a clone setup and the humidity tore that cheap S/S shelving up! I use to sell different grades of stainless steel out of the Army and that had to be the cheapest **** ever! I use to sell U-line products. You get what you pay for.

Main benefit of a perpetual harvest for me is if things go wrong and I lose a plant or even the whole harvest I'm not waiting another 4 to 5 months to replace it
I get a stronger terps when last wks of flower in low 70s and even low 60s at night
I slow the stretch by using the pop and twist method. They concentrate on repairing themselves and slows the stretch down. Cheers you guys are KILLING IT!
I have 1 of the 4x3 tents with 2 sides and I took out the inner wall so it's just a 4x3 inside. The 1x3 space wasn't really enough to do the perpetual grow thing. It was way better to get a 2.3x2.3x5 for vegging and use the big 1 for flower. I wish the second side had a 2x3 space instead of 1x3, I could have just used a single tent. Another problem was light leaks coming around the Velcro edge of the inner wall. You'd probably have to tape it to make sure light from vegging on the small side doesn't leak over to the big side during flower if you wanted to really use the 2 sided tents. I thought it sounded great but it wasn't once I tried it.
The perpetual grow thing is the only way that makes sense to me. I can start 1 or 2 seeds a month and harvest 1 or 2 plants a month and it works out pretty well.
Interesting information. I perpetual harvest but never run my flower room above eighty. I'm very happy with what I produce. But we can always do better. Thanks for the information.

I grow my own perpetual version. I have a 2x4 tent and use autopots and as long as I’m not doing autos I like to start my seeds (I’m a seed popper not a clone fan due to availability in my area and bugs scare me 😂) and I start them on my kitchen counter and solo cup then for two weeks or so under a t5 in the kitchen while my tent is finishing up and then once it’s done I switch the kitchen plants over to the tent and veg for a few weeks and switch to flower.
Just in time lol 😆 just got into studio to relax 😌 🎉
I have the ac infinity 4x5 split tent. Works great. Propagation in the upper part. Veg in the bottom and flowe in the big area. Great for people with limited room and wanting go Perpetual
3rd cycle on my soil i use mostly peat but having problems this round i added some promix that had coco in it figure id switch it up a bit when adding more soil to the bin and now im having some issues usually I can just run water for the first month with some dry amendments it looks like calcium with potassium def but at the same time the tips of my leaves are showing burn confused is an understatement lol ive used the same ratio of dry amendments the last 3 years no problem any help would be wonderful i hot with recharge every week and i ordered a calcium supplement should i run a low dose of the cal with recharge or what thanks dgc

Starting around week 6 I stay under 80F so my terps don't volatize off as much... Doing this definitely keeps some nuance to a strain
I would hate to have to get out my trimming stuff and do the pre-clean and post clean up more than every couple months personally. Harvesting and trimming is a great place to cross contaminate so I like to keep it pretty clean.

Aint no stopping stretch, but keep lights off temps at least the same if not slightly higher than lights on. Heard that a long time ago, tried it and it did make the next run noticeably shorter. I wasnt a scientist using a tape measure or anything though, for what its worth. Winter season is good time to do it, as i believe a lot of us have some kind of heat available other than the lights

plant stands .I get the cheap plastic gas bottle wheel movers there dirt cheap . the trick is glue the wheels in so they don't fall out when plants are getting heavy.

I've been taking 2x as much clones as I need then offering clones to my friends or discord members if they pay shipping and then they will get shipped after the next IPM spray to be safe. It feels great to help others and even if they don't make it the nee growers learn from their mistakes with plants I would of thrown away

For the flowering stretch, I use the HLG Flowering Initiator far red bulb, on for 10 minutes after lights out. HLG doesn’t sell the bulb anymore…Ive been meaning to ask why. Im not sure if it helps with the stretch, but it might!

Very interesting study out of Clemson by Michael Alden Dr Jim Faust and Dr Allison Justice on their "Cann-settia" approach. Apparently the poinsettia is similar enough that a lot of interesting things translate. You can impart a bonsai effect by pinching and flushing to .02 ec and then feeding straight water for up to 2 weeks in the very first weeks of short days. The results are remarkable. There are a few good presentations on YT if you search.

Hey there, thanks for reading my comment. I started yelling at work 😂. I use my light to control the stretch. I control my node spacing as well with my light intensity and once the stretch is done 4 weeks in, I'll raise all the plants up with milk crates to get the plants closer to the intense light while keeping the space cooler cause the drivers aren't cranking. Another grow hack 😅
They come pre set now! Blumats are really getting better. The drip tape is sweet!
I use electroculture wound copper stakes in my grows. It seems to make a difference. Do i have data to prove it no, but as cheap as it is to try.. why not. Keep up the great work guys, Love the Show.
Have you guys ever tried growing with magnets. I know nasal is doing it in space just because plants need the magnetic field, however a disk, ring and flat magnets can charge the water making growth better as nutrients and elements are suppose to change/charge, I tried with weak magnets as a newish grower but I think my skills abck then where to low to do the test. I will retry tho so thank you for mentioning electric and soil maybe try more than 5kg (maybe that's what I had)
Have the same soil for 4 years now it does just get better. I add small amount of new once it breaks down so much it will turn to powder.

Clemson University flushed plants during first 2 weeks of flower to slow stretch, plants grew more even albiet smaller, but produced more and higher terps.

I had to grow in my building out back of the house have to keep it hush hush due to its still illegal here lol so I've always grown in big spaces,, I've grown outdoors since 13 now 48 but had to move indoors cause I can't climb the mountains no more lol it's been fun but still on spot even growing indoors lol

I have a metal bedframe that keeps the bags about 10” off the ground in my walk-in closet, I slide a bus bin under to catch the water, or a garbage can lid actually works better, then I made a frame to hold two lights out of old cheap shelving, I use tie wire to tie them off to the frame I’d they start falling over,

This is the only way like dutch table system or just a large tent smaller tent setup split larger tent into sections get 3 half zones on cycle 2 month time difference from every zone and third zone has heavy sativa only and the 4x4 is veg only I would use a bucket clonner homebuilt or riot cube system works great to some strains are difficult to clone.
I don’t mind stretch, in fact I prefer a larger internode spacing on my plants, it makes the trim work so much easier in my opinion. So with stretch bend those ladies over, tie to bamboo, embrace the stretch. Lol good shit fellas
I got a perpetual for the past two years. I got flowering every week for a month and half, then got a 3 weeks down period.
You only flower for a month and a half?
I'm done hand watering unless I need to add something that's not good to run though them .
Anytime you want to throw away some clones, I'll take them. I'm a medical patient in NY and my germination takes forever to get to clone size. ❤

I got away from using trellis nets for the simple reason that I couldn’t get to the plants easily or move them around . I’m still doing over a pound a light and it’s so much easier .

Grow Dots vegging is firing it up...Recharge about weekly does the rest of the plant wants and needs for the upcoming harvest.
A simple perpetual sequence is to take clone(s) 3wks into flower, re-vegge (18/6), flower (12/12), repeat. 😊
This is my latest idea I'm currently trying. I have chickens so I'm fermenting their food in my flower room. The idea is that the CO2 produced by the fermentation of the chicken food will give my buds a boost.

Man, when you can only have six plants in flour perpetual grows. Get tough I mean I might be doing something wrong here but trying to breed make my own seeds. Keep moms around and have veg and flour at the same time well in my opinion that's when the real gardening happens.
I have a 10'x11'x7' room that I use and if I hang out in there for an hour, I get over 1000ppm CO2. If I'm doing work like cleaning, watering, mixing soil, playing some music on my didge, singing or actual workout, I can get the CO2 over 2400ppm in that room. Why buy CO2 supplement when I'm a CO2 generating machine!
(I use the Inkbird brand CO2 meter)

I think I rather just like the whole idea of putting vegetative plants in the same room as flowering plants. Why would you wanna risk the cross-contamination? And the different turn on and turn off so that the plants have at those stages. Do you want the same things in retirement going on around you that we’re going on when you were in elementary school?
