honestly more excited about the ice videos now that you are using nikko. they are so specialized and unique. I met Scott at the shows and he is a good person
Natural Hellgrammite has been money for me. The leeches have been good drop shot baits too. I've paired the morning dawn leeches up with a morning dawn Battle Baits drop shot jig with the skirt when I want the extra action and bigger profile.
Wow, thanks Paul, for the education on how plastic baits can actually SWELL and mess up fish. I had no idea, I just thought the only environmental impact was non-degrading plastics in the environment. Very much appreciated learning that tidbit! I would love to see Nikko Baits featured on another show sometime this year to showcase their new stuff.....enjoyed your featuring them last year to help us discover them!
Nikko baits are by far my favorite, started to use the craw last year and loved it. Soo stretchy its hard to put a hook through it and the hardest part twist lock on their swim bait is almost impossible. But it lasts foreverr
@@aaanglers i havnt looked online yet. That stretchy formula they used is just to dang good its hard to screw the head in for the swim baits lol. Will take a look online
That Magma color is fire!!!!! I got to get my hands on some of those. I've been looking for a bait like that. Don't know if you 2 ever try to" glide" a plastic bait? That one is the profile I'm looking for!!! Nikko is definitely getting an order!!!
I bet if you take the larva and tie them in a know and then put it in a hook it would mimic a cluster of eggs. Zman has a steelhead trout egg strand and they recommend tying it in a knot before rigging.
My experience with Nikko baits has been different. Tried the hellgrammites. Specifically targeting smallmouth. They didn't get hammered. Other soft plastics performed better after little luck with the hellgrammites. They also melt/breakdown quickly. Faster then zman & it wasn't mixing with other plastics. Legs of the hellgrammite broke off fairly easy. Lastly, they're pretty expensive for the quantity you get. It's nice they're better for fish & environment compared to others. Just didn't hold up to expectations. Thanks for videos.
This is crazy… I was just on the Nikko site buying Ikanago minnow’s. If this isn’t a sign I don’t know what it is. The 4.6” Minnow is going to be a chatterbait trailer to see in I like the ultra slim profile.
I want to pull the trigger on some Nikko baits so bad but holy hell are they expensive. $15 for 5 of the Winnow 95 swimbaits?? The waxworms are at least reasonable, might have to try them at that price point.
I just joined the channel so I dunno if this is something already talked about but Paul you have the most feminine looking eyes LOL....meant with respect bro! Really like the channel, good video.
Thoughts on Nikko Baits
they dont call me the hellgrammite hammer for nothin... =]

The micro baits like the pin straight tail etc are great on the trout magnet. Size #14 hook. Weight 1/200 are perfect
No ice here in Texas except Url last February 2021. My family lives in northern Minnesota and this would be great ice fish I g. Awesome baits!
Those leaches work really well as a chatterbait trailer
Awesome video guys. I can't wait to see you guys ice fishing.
I will have to give these a shot.

That's REALLY surprising, I've not had that happen even once. I can barely pull a leg off if I wanted to.
I’ve been using them a ton and never had this issue… strange
@@aaanglers Well itleast it's working for someone.

I use that same minnow as a chatter trailer, one of the best for sure that no one knows about
I feel like I could take that mayfly and go fly fishing with it.
What brand name is your 8 lb Braid line, and what brand florocarbon leader. Also do you ever use 2 lb line and what brand?
What’s up
Mmm i Love Nikko baits, I cover them in Ranch n go😋😅🤙 #ChartDuece

They literally never die tho. It works out to the same cost
Good baits and happy new year guys
