I had an interview for LV earlier this year and it was such an awful experience. Group zoom interview with about 20 other candidates. We were split into groups and interviewed with 3 hiring managers, then brought back together in the end. It felt very impersonal and rushed! The questions involved how we would increase sales, acquire clients, and creative ways on how we would engage customers. I was very nervous and was always one of the last to volunteer to answer. One of my fellow interviewees was taking the zoom interview while he was working at his current job as he hid in a dressing room AND was chewing gum the whole time! So at least I didn’t look as pathetic as him! LOL
I have my Zoom call today with LV @ 2! Doubling back on your video so I can be super prepared. Thank you so much for this. Very informative and transparent!

Another tip I have especially for video interviews is not to forget to look at the camera. It is difficult at times because when you want to look at the screen but when you’re looking at the screen, the people on the other side, see that you look down and not at them.. I recommend having a sticky note behind or next to the camera with “don’t forget to smile” written on it. That way you will remember to smile and look at the camera. :)

hi cindy! while i don't really have an interest in being a sales associate, i am a fan of luxury and i learned a lot watching this video, as i always do with your other ones. for a future video, do you think you could touch upon the elitism in luxury stores and how you experienced/witnessed it (or didn't) while working at LV? what is the "ideal" client? how can a customer increase their chances of receiving overall better treatment when shopping luxury? finally, people often complain that luxury is exclusive and operates on the fact that certain people belong and others don't. what's your take on luxury being essentially an exclusionary leisure? would love to hear your thoughts on this if possible. take care!

However, I can see enormous amount of personal shoppers on insta buying several products which are the same for several clients.. how do they work? Do you have any information about such personalshoppers? 😊
I was wondering if it’s possible to get hired at places like this if your wardrobe doesn’t consist of any designer pieces. I cant afford this sort of wardrobe, but I’d like to someday, and my interest in luxury brands is what’s motivating me to look into this branch of retail in the first place. Can work ethic alone carry you in this sort of field until you’re able to afford more quality pieces?
Not OP obviously but I doubt you need designer pieces! I’ve heard LV products clearly help, but I’d recommend wearing all black, just look put together and well groomed and really that should be enough. There are some style videos you can search on how to look like you’re wearing high end even if you aren’t. I’ve found those very helpful.

These days LV stitching can be really ugly uneven crap, and LV justify it that it is a hand work and wouldn't exchange or return
