Yes, this whole movie is one big Cast Away parody basically. Love this franchise. Yes, the Granny is a reoccurring character throughout the series and so are the Penguins. The penguins actually DID get their own movie which is also pretty great. 😄
The penguins do have their own show and two movies (The Penguins of Madagascar, and a Christmas special that I can’t remember the name of), the main gang also has a few holidays specials of their own, and the lemurs have an entire two shows depicting their lives before meeting Alex and his friends: “All Hail King Julien” and “All Hail King Julien: Exiled”, but you should finish the original trilogy first.
"A Christmas Caper" (Also starring the old lady who beat up Alex!) It's up in parts on TH-cam but the last one was filmed on a potato 💀 still worth watching, though!
@@calistodorren It's slang for a low-quality recording. Imo it looks like an early 2000s razor phone aimed at a VHS copy of the film (not sure how you'd even get Madagascar on VHS lmao)
I know this was one year ago but since it hasn't been answered: I think "We killed them and ate their livers" is a reference to a greek myth. Prometheus brought the fire to the humans and was punished in a brutal way: He was chained to a rock and everyday an eagel came and ate his liver which grew back over night.
King Julien and the Penguins got their own spin offs that you should totally react to! King Julien - "All Hail King Julien" and "All Hail King Julien: Exiled" are both Netflix originals. Exiled takes place between Seasons 4 and 5 of All Hail King Julien. Penguins - "The Penguins of Madagascar" is a series. They also got a movie spin off. Love your content, btw!!!

Actually, the pinguins have their own series of movies. I remember being very happy when this movie came out because I'm an adopted french girl born in Madagascar. Also, it's the only island where you can find lemurs. Two fun facts : in the french version, there's a reference to Shrek where Alex calls his friends on the beach (he says : Melman, Gloria, Marty, Shrek, Fiona, Fairy Godmother) and according to the Malgasy culture, the lemur like Maurice bring bad luck
There is actually at least one movie about the penguins as far as I know, haven't watched it for years but I remember thinking that it's really good so maybe you'll enjoy it as well
This movie is so funny and cute. Reminds me of long vacation car rides and watching it on a portable DVD player in the back lol. I feel like another cute animated movie you’d like is The Sea Beast on Netflix right now. It has beautiful animation and the characters are so funny. I highly recommend it! 🤗 Great reaction!
The penguins ended up with their own show on Nickelodeon, The Penguins of Madagascar, ran for 3 season for a total of 149 episodes and a1 movie. King Julien also played a major role in the show as well.
I know some comments says the same thing but you have to watch the spin off show with the penguins along the lemurs. It is such a wonderful and underrated show
I just noticed that at 30:15, Alex’s eyes switch from predator to normal for a split seconds when he glances at Marty. That was great attention to detail to show that he really doesn’t wanna hurt him

@Thor Reacts fun fact the predators in this movie the fossa's look like cat's but they are not actually cat's at all they are in the same family as the mongoose. The reason why they look like cat's is because of convergent evolution which is the process of when a species of animal evolves the same physical traits and appearance of another species that is not related to them. Just like how hyenas look like dogs but they are not in the same family as dogs at all.
The Penguins actually do have their own movie XD and their own TV series (featuring King Julian, who also has one or two tv shows of his own) I hope you'll check The Penguins Of Madagascar movie out after the sequels too (definitely wait until after watching the third movie though, since it does start where the third Madagascar movie leaves off)
Yup, the penguins and King Julien are the best part of this movie! Excellent cast all around (DreamWorks tends to hire big names, as you may have noticed). Hope you enjoy the later movies, too!
I loved this movie when it came out, and I still think it's too funny! Even though I've been an adult for a long time now, I will watch an animated movie if it looks good. Who to their mistake thought they were supposed to be cold weather ones, when they are really warm weather types. ( I think there are only 3 types of cold home Penguins, all the rest really are warm weather types.) The leader of the Penguins to me is a mix of- Capt.Kirk and M from the early Bond movies. It dawned on me that the little old Lady who was beating up the Lion, was a flashback to the old Sylvester and Tweety cartoons. There was an old lady who owned Tweety, a yellow canary and she would sometimes catch the cat trying to make a snack out of Tweety. Anyways, that - Move it tune is still fun to dance to lol. 😁
