Got my 11 year old daughters studying the history on the panthers now. I have them study a new black leader every month and write a essay on them so they can educate themselves. POWER TO THE PEOPLE ✊🏾
Why do black people need leaders? Can they not lead themselves? I never hear of Chinese or Mexican leaders.
Good intent, but be careful. At such an age, this may not be the most ideal way to spread knowledge. Ensure you make things interactive! That's how you retain knowledge🙏

It's crazy for me to think. In my history class how little that the black pathers are talked about and people in my family just consider them violent. Whenever I bring up racism to my dad he says black people are just as bad because the black panther party. Which obviously isn't true. And a lie. It's heartbreaking more than anything.
What happens when you get beaten, shot, dogs sicked on, churches bombed and so much more what you going to do? Eventually you going to fight back and that’s what happen a group decided to fight back! You can only take so much so yeah they was violent but that’s because of what keep happening to black people
This is the most important recent history we have to look back on in America right now. The question is not "when will change happen", It's always happening, but when will growth happen? It wont until and unless we can understand what happened 60's and why activism completely changed for the worse after the people allowed the deaths of black liberators and just went on living their comfortable lives pretending that they were damned from beginning to end. The revolution will either come back or we will see the world die around us and be silent or whimpering.

Sounds like it’s written by someone that was personally a “victim” in some way. Opinion piece.
@@creaturefood6526 Well the site itself already raises some ideological flags to begin with. There are no vetted cited sources and the author's expertise is in economics, not history or journalism--both require an understanding of research. In terms of the example provided, I'm not remotely familiar w/it and aside from other moderate to far-right leaning pseudo news sites referenced, can't seem to corroborate it.

This is a blatantly false claim. We mention the free breakfast program, food drives, free clinics, free self-defense training, free classes on economics, drug and alcohol rehabilitation programs, and so on. Did you even watch the video? Try harder.

@@re-reed No one's offended here. I'm not sure why you're trying to make this out to be something it's not? I mention 1, ONE, instance of violence perpetrated by the Panthers and that's Cleaver's ambush of the police at 5:45. That portion lasts 15 seconds. The video is a total of 18 minutes and 27 seconds. So the ONE instance of violence I mention makes up 1.3% of the video overall. Please explain how "all [I] focused on was violence."
