An english teacher passed by and asked why I was reading about a black racist he hated everybody. The reason why you won’t find many like him and like other great men, is because back then being educated and smart was appreciated, reading books and literature was the best thing you could do to make yourself a noteworthy person. These days you judge a celebrity by his followers count.

In Saudi we have studied his story three times . In Elementary + High school + and again at Med School . I did two presentations about this great man. And I do believe white people will always try to hide anything that could promote Islam as the true religion that came from god and it’s the best way of life. The days leading up to Malcolm murder he was stalked and aggravated vigorously with people calling his hotel room and his home with death threats. He had his house set on fire with his entire family inside just days before. The FBI saw the hit coming and intentionally let it happen. Killing two birds with one stone.

There's nothing wrong with being a nationalist and Malcolm X is a nationalist based on pure definition. The raw definitions are "A person who strongly identifies with their own nation and vigorously supports its interests, especially to the exclusion or detriment of the interests of other nations." & "A person who advocates or supports the political independence of a particular nation or people."
Well technically during his time with the Nation of Islam he was sort of a black nationalist. That was until he had learned of Elijah Muhammad's hypocrisy and went to Mecca where his views were more liberalized. I think being surrounded by Muslims of other races made him more open to coexisting with other races.

Elijah Muhammad's views were limited to combating the white man's treatment of black people in America. Malcolm's thirst for knowledge expanded beyond that. Malcolm returned from his pilgrimage to Mecca. Realizing that one does not need to be a racist to combat racism. He is arguably the most underrated leader of this century. He challenged issues that most others were afraid to even tinker with. Because he lived it and spoke from the heart. That is why we won't see another leader like him for generations to come.

I will say in his time I was a southern young man, that looked on Malcolm as a threat to my race and my country. Now almost 82 disabled I listen to his words and believe in him. I would have been proud if somehow we could have been friends discussing philosophy, and the problems that still exist. The 60's was a time of revolution in America and murder. There's nothing wrong with being a nationalist and Malcolm X is a nationalist based on pure definition. The raw definitions are "A person who strongly identifies with their own nation and vigorously supports its interests, especially to the exclusion or detriment of the interests of other nations." & "A person who advocates or supports the political independence of a particular nation or people."
Well technically during his time with the Nation of Islam he was sort of a black nationalist. That was until he had learned of Elijah Muhammad's hypocrisy and went to Mecca where his views were more liberalized. I think being surrounded by Muslims of other races made him more open to coexisting with other races.
Baba Malcolm X said that he is a Black Nationalist Freedom Fighter in his speech, the Ballot or the Bullet.

I was taught Malcolm was a violent radical revolutionist. All he preached was black people had the right to defend themselves same as whites. He wasn’t violent, he basically just said don’t mess with us and we won’t have a problem

i had a teacher described the "Autobiography of Malcolm X" as the most American book you can read. you watch a man's journey spiritually, socially and even physically.

It's not the schools responsibility to teach you real history. It starts at home. I learned about Malcolm X from my parents.
School taught me Malcolm was aggressive, radical, and supported violence. Never taught me that it was out of PURE LOVE and COURAGE for TRUTH.
This was the Greatest Black Man who ever walked this planet.
I remember reading his autobiography as a teenager and it blew me away. Shows the side of America that was never shown in the media, that's for sure!
Elijah Muhammad's views were limited to combating the white man's treatment of black people in America. Malcolm's thirst for knowledge expanded beyond that. Malcolm returned from his pilgrimage to Mecca. Realizing that one does not need to be a racist to combat racism. He is arguably the most underrated leader of this century. He challenged issues that most others were afraid to even tinker with. Because he lived it and spoke from the heart. That is why we won't see another leader like him for generations to come.

25 years of me researching and writing articles about Malcolm plus listening to him has inspired me greatly. I agree we should teach Malcolm X in our educational institutes more and have holiday on his birthday of the 19th of May every year
Malcolm was so for the people that he did not even want recognition for himself if they would not do the same for them all.
