Thank you! They were easy to install. I just shoved a 3mm LED in them and used hot glue to hold them in.
great video and great upgrades. I can see a lot of custom builds coming down the pipe.
WPL's in general are great platforms for mods but this one is going to be nuts.
Terrific review of a very nicely modified truck, I especially enjoyed the "knight rider" drive on and off the trailer while in motion.Your discovery of led points on the circuit board I bet will hugely simplify a lot of light projects for many owners too.
Well thank you! Yeah that was fun! I wanted to do more but it was getting late! I was surprised WPL didn't mention that. I mean it was an easy point to add lights. I think they will likely have a kit for it eventually.

I can't wait to see what is in store for your B36-3!! I ordered mine as soon as Ed told me about it. I have done a few free mods to mine. Like i curled up the wire from the truck to the trailer to make it look like the lines on a real big rig. I love the fenders that you made for your trailer id love to buy that for mine. I use mine to haul my huina excavator. I do wish it was longer though so that i can carry the excavator and my dump truck at the same time
Curling the wire is a brilliant idea! I have seen lot of people stretch these already lol! Ill have the trailer mods on MyMiniFactory soon!

Interesting review.... nah, good video and informative. When will you have parts to order on the mini factory site? I'm curious about how you got the cab lights working, wired to the headlights? Do you make a light bucket for the cab lights?

Well thanks! How on earth did I forget to add the link in the description! Added! As for the cab lights, no, i just shoved a 3mm LED in the lens that is already there and then hot glued them. Finally, coated the back side with black liquid electric tape. Super easy! I was surprised actually!
WPL has a bright future if they keep it up.

Talking about the model, and not your mods, I'm not a big fan of that trailer.
I would much prefer having a B36 with a flat bed, and then have a more traditional trailer to it for a further vehicle...
Yeah, I too am not a fan of that style trailer. I mean I totally get why they did that. The military market is huge but I too would have rather a flat bed. I am sure we will see more from them.

Thank you! Everything will be on shapeways and MyMiniFactory. Ebay fees and shipping always adds 10-20% more cost so its cheaper to get it right from shapeways or print it yourself.
Great video. I just bought the b36 and trailer plus a e1 . Where did you get the wheels for the b36 they look really cool.
There is a link in the description to them. These are AMPro products. These are printed on an SLA with ABS-like resin.

I've just received my new metal drives from WPL...no note of not fitting. I'm slightly nervous now
Did you see the mention on the page for the driveshafts? I missed it...you know...because I can be bothered reading! I asked customer service and thanks to me, they made the note BOLD and in RED. I still would have missed it.
i came across somthing, have you heard of nail polish or top coat type thing for water proofing your boards
Yes, these are good enamel coats though I have not used it as I do not like to get my cars wet.
What would you charge for to make those wheel covers on the trailer, I have no accto a 3D printer, but would really like to have those on my trailer too.

On wpls site it says those lights are compatible but they clearly are. Res v3 board right??
This is not the V3 board as it does not have sound controls to my knowledge. Thought the D series LED's operate, like I show, they are not physically compatible. There are lots of lights the D series electrical comes with but only the rear 6 you can populate.
I bought both the B36 and the B36-3 and I'm' putting in the 2 speed gear boxes, the front axle is backwards on both?????
You need to flip the axle. The gearbox they come with is brand new and has counter rotating driveshafts.

I dont know if you'll see this but I put the 2 speed in my b36-3 now it cuts out when pressing the throttle and the servos go haywire sometimes. If I unplug the steering servo it runs fine. I've even plugged in a different servo and it does the same thing. Any ideas faulty board or something? Thanks for any help you can provide.
What the heck? Is the battery low? I had that happen once when I was on the sand, just before the battery cut out. Can you confirm charge and if not reach out to WPL ASAP!
@@AMPROEngineering I'll check it with a full battery but I'm pretty sure it was good it was just weird cause it def has something to do with the servo being plugged in

Would you say that this rig is closer to true 1/18 scale rather than 1/16?
That's a great question. I would say 1/18 but it is hard to find information on the actual truck for me to calculate it. Fits in well with the 1/16 cars though.

Is the B14 not an REO? I am bad at military vehicles. I agree, a Stude would be awesome. I think the JJRC q 60 is a Russian version of an early US truck. That one looks amazing. I love mine.

Yes that is indeed the truth. At least this one has a reason, based on how low cost it is. So many others.....like one I am working on now....cost a lot and are utter trash.

Something feels very cursed about seeing a Ural-4320 on Split 5 semi truck wheels. I mean it looks great, especially with the brushed silver and the stripe kit. But it's just...so weird.
