As a native i gotta say the director of the movie and the composer of this song really captured the pain that comes with being a conquered and dying people. At one point in my life i could really relate to the brother who was mad and bitter at the world. But wallowing in resentment isn't the a way to live. We weren't the first people to be conquered and we certainly won't be the last. No one can escape the inherent suffering of life. This movie captured that well with the two men who had their daughters taken from them. Best we can all do is try to be kind and charitable to those around us.
it's sad what happened to the natives indeed, but you could recover if you all got off the alcohol, drugs and gambling, and implement a repopulation program for yourselves
Very true sometimes all it takes is a quick moment to think about all the other terrible stuff that people are going through and all of a sudden your problems ain’t so bad after all
Far from your loving eyes In a place where winter never comes Far from your loving eyes In awe of the mountain and the wind I run Far from your loving eyes In awe of the mountain and the wind I run When I return to this place And I close my eyes again I don't think I will ever be able to ferget this movie. Its just... I don't know... I don't think any word will be able to describe what I feel right now.
Haneul SoYoung i think its and all around the wind i run i do not hear in awe of the mountains and the wind i run. Recite it with the music it doesn’t sound correct
I’ve seen this movie quite a few times and it cuts me the same way…every…single…time. Beautiful yet ugly. Amazing yet melancholy. Gripping yet terrifying. Nothing makes any of this ok. We as humans need to do better. This movie and song deserve so much more than it got. THIS should be mainstream instead of the dumbed down movies these days. I will forever adore and love this film. Wonderfully portrayed by Jeremy Renner. Great actor…

Just watched this brillant film. Fantastic scenery. Filmed in Utah, even though they say it is Wyoming in the film. This haunting track is my favourite.
I've seen this movie 4 times and every time is like the first. Superb film and acting. How in this day and age is something like still happening. So sad and so eye opening.
I just watched Wind River and I found it deeply moving on multiple levels. It's not often that I feel like a better person because of watching a film. There were some extremely difficult scenes to watch but, man, the dialog, the compassion, the wisdom, and so much more were deeply moving. I'll need to keep my eye out for more films written and/or directed by Taylor Sheridan.
As 19 yr old, this made me tear up and rage. Won’t ever feel as helpless as that girl’s bf, I’ll train and strengthen myself for anyone and any girl because this shit super dark. Almost too much for me to handle, a really heavy and emotional movie fr👏🏻❤️🩹
Can't believe I missed this in theaters. I don't even remember seeing a trailer, and I made it to Sicario and Hell or High Water in theaters. Glad I caught it today on Netflix though.
Nick Cave and Warren Ellis create the most haunting soundtracks! The scores for Hell or Highwater and The Assassination of Jesse James were just as mesmerizing.
Couldn't agree more . This duo is the best. AND, hopefully everyone here has the opportunity to see Hell or Highwater (and Sicario, for that matter). WR is intense AF to be sure, but no question, HOHW is so right up there in terms of atmospherics and execution. All 3 are immensely re-watchable.
AND : for people that gravitate to this sort of material, 'the Nightingale" (19thcentury Australia) and "Black 47" (19thcent Ireland) are NOT to be missed!!!
This was actually used as the walk on music for the Skeleton Tree tour for the Bad Seeds, the band that both Nick (he’s the frontman) and Warren are a part of. It makes sense, considering that the album is about grief and loss and the unthinkable happening, as is Wind River.
Taylor Sheridan is a brilliant writer and director..the next generation Martin Scorsese...and I love the fact he cares about the indigenous people of America and Canada-
Really good film. Sheridan the writer is fabulous - does Yellowstone too. Just listening to soundtrack. Don't forget the message = native women need our help desperately now.
In the end no one knows how many women or girls has gone missing. Bullshit, the only ones who know are the parents. "She ran 8-9 miles out in the snow in bellow 20 weather. That's a warrior....thats a warrior."
I thought the score was somewhat familiar. Until I found out it was composed by Nick Cave and Warren Ellis. Just like another OST which I loved lately, the OST from Hell or High Water!
Just finished it...great,great movie....Jeremy Rener and Elisabeth Olsen are real actors...they deserve characters like these ones not only Marvel movies 🤮🤮🤮🤮
“See the child. He is pale and thin, he wears a thin and ragged linen shirt. He stokes the scullery fire. Outside lie dark turned fields with rags of snow and darker woods beyond that harbor yet a few last wolves. His folk are known for hewers of wood and drawers of water but in truth his father has been a schoolmaster. He lies in drink, he quotes from poets whose names are now lost. The boy crouches by the fire and watches him.” -Blood Meridian, Cormac McCarthy

"She ran 6 miles in the snow, barefoot. That's a warrior."
Best line of the movie. Makes you feel like whatever you're suffering aint shit.
A very important movie for everyone to watch, especially now
Feminist propaganda
comparing suffering is stupid
@@eclipsez0r This movie? You're an idiot.

This seriously needs more views. Fantastic film. Fantastic score.
I could watch this movie over and over again. Beautiful, haunting and sad. The music captivates exactly how you feel when watching Wind River.
Definetly best movie of 2017. I had goosebumps when i heard that song in cinema.
Adrian Novakovic My best is Blade Runner 2049 but this is my 4th or 5th
I agree. Best of 2017!
Blade runner and this were the most stunning atmosphere movie in 2017.
I wish i saw it in theaters.
Best movie overall
One of the best movies
I just finished a re watch.. first and last for at least 5 years.. This movie is a gem. On all level. A painful but brilliant gem.
This movie is way underrated! really good movie.

Wind river and this song are so damn haunting and raw, I watched it for the first time last month and I still can’t get it out of my head.
Real masterpiece. The atmoshpere and the feelings.. so cold. Amazing just like the movie.
one of the underrated movies.
I cried about three times watching this it's horrible what sick people live in this planet

However far you think she ran. She ran further.

Brilliant movie and the soundtrack is an integral part of that brilliance.

Nick cave and Warren Ellis really know how to do soundtracks. The assassination of Jesse James soundtrack is great too.
This movie is absolutly wonderful !
The country, the snow and this atmosphère ...
Big Jeremy Rener, i love it !!💯
Very hauntingly beautiful 💙

Incredible vocal sounds. It conjures up a sense of suffering for the native Americans
Best film of 2017...

She was a Native American Woman that alone makes her a natural born warrior!
Wonderful movie. Have already seen it twice.
I just saw this movie, wow... just amazing.
Score feels haunted, but makes me want to listen it again and again.
When it’s so cold out this banger starts playing
the Aaaaaaaaa sound sounds and feels like a cold indifferent winter wind, thematically fitting the movie, as well as a cry of pain left unheard
may we all return to our place and close our eyes again...and when we do I hope I can be there with you, if you'll have me
Just watched this film... Fantastic is an understatement...
Great Film! RIP GABBY!
I remember many years ago while driving from Chicago to California in early june, I ran into snow while driving in Wyoming.
