I ate at the Burger Spot a few time's when I was visiting a friend, I stayed at a motel on Main close to the corner of S. Curry, I also ate at that Cafe, near the motel close to that same corner, I've been to that Wall Mart, there's also a small motel called The Ranch Motel if you go north on S.Curry a few blocks, it's very peaceful there compared to Los Angeles, I like it up there, thanks for the video.
Boy haven’t been there since the 50s. It’s changed a bit. Nice to see a place with no rain! What gps are you using? Mine is not that helpful (gps on iPhone).
This was fun. What year were you on the trail? I've been a trail angel here for a long time. I bet you stayed at the La Quinta by the freeway. It's pretty far from town to be sure.
I did that section in 2011. I said I would never do the desert section again but it is such an amazing stretch from Campo to Tehachapi. I wish I lived closer to the trail to do more for the hikers :)
@@AmericanOutbackAmazing - It's so much fun, but it can be exhausting. But those kids bring life to this dumpy little town. The whole world comes to visit us. Just waiting for the SOBOs now.
My Grandparents lived on F Street, Nothing like today, kinda like Mayberry ‘’seriously’’….. Peaceful nice people, Train 🚂 rides are great….. Snowy December’s very beautiful…… Visit and relax no worries hike the mountains ⛰
Believe it or not, that' actually my plumber Jason.
He's great.
Recommend him highly..

One of the best little towns in SoCal!
@@AmericanOutbackAmazing A Real Gem 💎
Good old Kelcy's cafe. A lot of new stuff on the way in.
Would be a great place to live, I love the location!
4:22 redhouse has best smoked ribs, always selling out of their baked potatoes
So many good places to eat there :)
Can't believe the burger spot is still there. That's a historical monument.
It looked like a good place to eat.
Is there a lake in tehchapi?
Isabella Lake is to the north, nothing right in town. You have to take Highway 178 from Bakersfield or Ridgecrest.
Yes it is called “brite lake”
if you want a good burger kelcys Cafe restaurant on the right 3:09
Love that town, wish I could move it to Washington.

Justice can not be done to Tehachapi in an 11:40 minute video.
It is a great town, one of the best on the Pacific Crest Trail.
