- Street Fighter 6 separates the combo trials into three tiers: Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced. Today, I attempt to do every single Advanced level combo trial in the game. Can I get them all in under two hours, or will the weight of the hardest combos in the game crush my spirit?

The way I did the Guile 2 and 3 combos was to press forward+down instead of just forward on the sonic boom input. That counts and it is the fastest way to start charging the flash kick.

I like how variable the difficulty is. Like there are characters where I get stuck near the end of intermediate, then there's Marisa where I regularly use her last combo trial (and similar routes) in ranked.

Play on keyboard or hitbox easy execution.
The trick to the guile combos, specifically sonic boom link flash kick is that you can get a sonic boom by ending on down-back (you can’t get one by ending on down-forward).
So the motion is:
Charge⬅️➡️↙️+P
You won’t get a perfect boom but none of the trials require that. This way you maximise you’re charge time.

@@liljon042 I didn’t mean to say none of the trials I just meant it doesn’t matter for that bit of the trial.
I found most characters late intermediate were harder than advanced. Advanced just teaches you drive rush and stuff like Luke perfect knuckle timing.
I finished them for guile, had to walk away for a day lol. Part of it was making sure I hold B for the standing heavy kick and then holding d/f for the sonic boom into flash kick
Bro that Guile Trial was tough as nails. Took me 2.5 hours. I spent 8 hours total doing all the trials, so that one trials took over 25% of the total time I spent on all the trials

After how easy all the SFV trials were and being a Guile main I was really second guessing my skills. Good to know it's the hardest in the game lol

Stuck on Guile combo trial then decides to search on TH-cam, now I feel much better. I finished all Guile combo trials eventually, and I actually stuck on advanced 2 the most, advanced 3&4 are also hard but not as hard as advanced 2 to me.
Im glad Im not the only one who had issues with kimberly's 3rd advanced trial that jump senpyukaku just didnt work for me

I’m glad I’m not the only one that’s struggling with guile’s trials, actually did the ones that you struggled with pretty easily, but it’s actually advanced 2 that I’m stuck on, how did you do it!?
Saaaaaaame. 1, 3, and 4 were just timing issue if anything once you know about down back/up forward being used for charge. But for 2 idk how he just easily went right through the 2 lp> 5 lk > boom?!?! How do you get the 5 lk but keep the charge for boom??? HELP!
@@darealzoidberg9100 The input reader lets you pause in neutral for a split second between charging and doing the forward input and still get the boom out. So you have to do downback lp->no direction + lk and then RIGHT after the lk do foward for the boom. I can do that part separately but doing it in the combo while also getting the charge for the flash kick ender is beyond me.
Damn, you know I spent about 30 mins straight trying to do Juris 1st advanced combo before giving up... 3 times... I feel dumb now

Seeing him do Shiku-sen on Juri first try every time makes me mad LOL I just picked up the game and Intermediate 6 where its Jump Medium Punch into Shiku-sen is kicking my fucking arse in timing, awesome video tho, glad to see even great players struggle a little

From my experience making sure ur thumb is relaxed and doing more micro movements instead of banging the outsides of the stick makes inputs a lot easier.

I gotta do something! I wanna combo like this even though im a Gief main so I play the game completely different , but I’ve even started playing other games to help me with my dexterity and timing everything I maybe should switch controllers ? Idk smh

Guile, straight forward combo routes. Complex setup and timing for said route. *I don’t think I’d last a day on em.*
7:20 I actually use a similar setup. I use air down medium to bait jps, jaime and marisa grab or reversal. The only problem is that if they block i end up in the corner. I would use the air tatsu instead so i can keep the corner but the execution is too hard
You need to buffer the charge, like someone mentioned below downback to downforward, you should have plenty of charge by then cause you're already charging on the crouching medium before the sonic boom - just stay crouched until the flash kick.
I finished all the trials including Guile. His was the hardest for sure, and its so satisfying to land in a match.

Trying the trials of every character is totally different to showing their hardest or best combos.
Sf6 is my first fighting game and holy cow learning these combos are demolishing my thumb. I’m playing classic on controller because I really like the game and would rather just learn classic controls now.

You should definitely add time stamps for videos like this so people can skip to the characters they want to see. Ik watch time is a thing but convenience is nice

how are yall doing the inputs for supers consistently? i cant seem to get the hang of it on classic controls at alllllll

@Noshed not exactly. like actually linking them into combos. I can do them raw somewhat consistently if i mash DP but doing them fast in some of the combo trials is so difficult for me
Keep ur thumb relaxed, try do micro movements (try ur best to avoid hitting edge of stick area) and buffer it (do inputs while previous hit is still in animation.) Best tips I can give for consistency.

If you are injuring your hand you should not do these trials, instead just play the game until you get a feel for your character(s) execution and how to use your controller of choice without pain. Ideally you should not feel any pain when playing fighting games, and if you feel wrist pain or finger pain stop immediately and do hand stretches.
They're doable pretty consistently, just not on pad for me because i really don't know how people can use that shi to play fgs and i know that they are the most popular controllers by far. My respect goes out to pad players

I'm happy i reached Guile's advanced combo 1 in my first day of playing my very first fighting game.
Any tips on how to input supers more effectively? I always find myself having no issue doing the combos and then drop the super at the end or it doesnt come out.
if you are buffering inputs for super, street fighter 6 seems to favor DP over super, it helps me to either buffer slower than usual or not to buffer at all, and go to neutral before doing the super input

I'm confused isn't Flash kick just down(hold) up kick. Why would you need to hold downback after sonic boom?

when in the combo trial, it should be one of those options, cycle through to change it to show the commands instead of the controller buttons

I did almost all of Lukes trials the intermediate is a pain and advanced
Man Jamie looks so exhausting as a character to fight as. You have all of your best moves and real power locked to your drink and the animation is so slow its easy to interrupt and prevent a Jamie player from being able to do their best Combos and essentially make them play by your rules. They are definitely a creative character, but I can already see this character ranking super low in terms of effectiveness for comp because of that mechanic at high and mid level play.

my question is how are people able to do inputs so freaking fast? I know im a bronze ranked scrub, but even going into the trail combos with ken, it drives me insane at how the inputs work
It takes a while, but it becomes natural after getting comfortable with the commands
You'll get comfortable with motion inputs eventually. There are only really a few motions you need to worry about in SF6 for the majority of the cast. Quarter circles and Z's. Some characters will have charge motions, which can be hard until you understand that you don't start charging after your last non-charge move connects, but pretty much as soon as you start holding the charge direction. So if you have a standing move into a crouch move cancel into charge move, you can hold down right as the standing move comes out, not only once the recovery frames are done. You can also hold diagonal directions to get both charge motions/keep down charge on moves with forward inputs which makes these much slower than they seem. The only other motions are double down inputs and half circles/full circles, which are tough, but rare in SF6.
It takes time, but the motions become literally second nature once you put in enough time. SF6 was my first fighting game, and after 2 months, I'm finally at a point where I can start doing things by muscle memory instead of thinking about the inputs super hard every time.
Guile Advanced 2 ruined my day on stick.

it's easy, the only hard thing for luke advanced combos are his Perfect Knuckle Flashes. which varies on timing but have some tricks.
