My wife and I started our Etsy shop back in June of this year. Its been hard and not a good experience at all. We use Printify as a provider because we didn't have the funds to start. What's been working for us has been the digital items. The shirt and sweatshirts bad! Maybe back in 2020 when the majority of the Etsy gurus "started" it was good , but now forget it! Digital is the best way to go in my opinion. We must of lost so much money. Selling on Etsy we are negative instead of gaining money. It's awful. We won't close the shop we will leave it and improve it as we go with time. Great video!

It can all be combined! I've had a lot of subscribers and prior clients who've done handmade + POD + digital. The listings rank individually on Etsy, regardless of the majority of your products or niches.
I started on Etsy 4 months ago. I have over 200 POD items listed. My best traffic day was 46 views. Now after all the Etsy craziness from whatever is going on all my traffic is GONE. ZERO TRAFFIC. I WOULD NOT START ON ETSY UNTIL ALL THIS IS STRAIGHTENED UP.
So very true, I've been selling on Etsy for 7 years, and for the last 2 years, my sales went from great to almost none. Etsy is not the same please don't get your hopes up to much at the beginning but do it anyway and eventually you will succeed one way or another.
I am silent viewer of your videos :) I like videos but what do you think if you show maths(cost, sales, profits, cost calculation , sales calculation, profit calculaton) for all these 3 models generally, wouldn't it be good for starters to decide where I should go ?

I wish I would have known 😅before I opened my shop on Etsy, I listened to some one on TH-cam, saying how you can make money on Etsy, selling cellphone cases. I have shirts, and cellphone cases in my store. Not doing well at all ☹️
Great video Heather . . as always. I started off in digital but was watching all the newbies (I'm a newbie too) coming in and selling everything for like .5. I enjoy it though and will continue to play there in the coming year. I am having fun with pod and will continue it also. The part I love the most is designing. I LOVE designing and I'm pretty good at it. I don't really care about making money right away so I may hire someone to do the listings early in 2024. Do you outsource? I'd love to see a video about how you handle it if you do. Thanks a lot Heather. May Q4 bless you beyond your dreams 🙂
The audio is working for most but audio of my voice on this video is only playing on the right side and some speakers may play the left side which has the piano sound that's causing this issue. I may have my editor fix and repost here so the sound is on both sides, sorry for the sound issue!

thats my concern with my shop too, and i havent even sold 1 item yet. haha just keep improving yourself and it will reflect on your shop and providers you pick

Also questions I have I literally say, " somethings is not legit about this, imma go back to Heather's video and see what the heck she just said, cause I'm stumped! " And then it ends up working out. Would you recommend a separate Etsy shop for a Handmade business POD and Digital? Or, can it all be together?

That's great! But Etsy doesn't allow all countries to sell on the platform. I live in Dubai and unfortunately, we cannot register with them.
