It is not an automatic "Fail" in Army Sniper School to miss the final shot. This has been the standard for more than 2 decades in the Army. A Sniper that passes the entire school but misses the final shot passes the course is passed. One of the reasons the Sniper passes is that the Sniper will never shoot an engagement by themselves, like they are instructed to do in the final shot. They will always have a spotter with them. This spotter is the senior Sniper of the team and helps the shooter calculate distance and wind. In the final shot scenario, the Sniper has to do all these jobs by themselves during a timed scenario. This scenario is never practiced through the entire school. This final engagement is not a good test of the Snipers' abilities either. Secondly, Sniper School is a month long. The first 2 weeks are your shooting qualifications and ranges. The second phase is your stalking course. The Sniper does not shoot for several weeks, then is thrown into the "Final shot" scenario. In my opinion, a final shot scenario should include everything that has been taught to the Sniper team. It should include stalking, scouting, target identification, range estimation, and final shot as a team, repeated for both team members.

Klaudia Kalugina remains among the deadliest snipers ever. Of the 2,000 Russian female snipers during WWII, it was reported that she had 257 Axis kills-one of those shots made over one mile away. In 2001, Jennifer Weitekamp, then Senior Airman Donaldson, fresh out of basic training, volunteered to attend the Air National Guard’s pilot Counter Sniper School at Camp Joseph T. Robinson, North Little Rock, Arkansas. Initially, Weitekamp was not allowed into the course because it was not open to women. “They asked for volunteers for this training program, and I really wanted to go, so I volunteered,” Weitekamp said. “It wasn’t until after I volunteered that I was told I couldn’t go because I was female.” A couple of weeks before the start of the course, school officials decided to let her attend, inadvertently making her a trailblazer. On April 14, 2001, Weitekamp completed the course, becoming the first woman to complete a U.S. military sniper school - the first female sniper in the Air Force. “The school was not easy, and there were days I wanted to go home,” Weitekamp said. “I was the first woman to go through; it was because of that and the opportunities it would open up for future women that helped me get through the training and kept me motivated.” In 2012, 11 years after Weitekamp graduated, the ninth female graduated from the Close Precision Engagement Course (CPEC). The program is now located at Fort Bliss, Texas Air Force Staff Sgt. Alyssa Gomez, 99th Ground Combat Training Squadron instructor, graduated from the CPEC on April 27, 2012-staff Sgt. Shame on the effort of sexists who are trying to belittle her accomplishment. Once given a chance to earn a fighting role in combat, they proved they that could be lethal and have a have a psychological impact on both the Russians AND the German forces on the battlefield - The Germans in the kill zone feared them beyond what you would expect from their few numbers AND the Russians hailed each victory as a gift from their "Little Sister!" and treated them as bonafide heroes. Fun fact: Today's triumph for progressive America comes just 81 years after Soviet female sniper Lyudmila Pavlichenko received a signatured rifle from Winchester and a pistol from Colt. At that time, women in the United States still had limited civil rights. Moreover, Pavlichenko’s sniper score is significantly higher than that of the most prolific sniper in American history, Chris Kyle. But still, the United States is at the forefront of the fight for rights and democracy, and Russia is the eternal oppressor.
She also way out classes by the white death, Simo Hayha. 505 kills in 105 days all with irons as well as eliminating every counter sniper sent after him. Fuckin stupid if you ask me
I feel like thats a slightly unfair comparison, not debating your argument but like comparing a soviet sniper in a world war is different from counter-insurgency in the middle east
Hmm, a total war where the entire population is mobilized to defend the homeland from an aggressive invader hell bent on exterminating your neighbors. Versus counter-insurgency operations overseas 1000s of miles from homeland soil. Completely different scenario, had the US been invaded there would’ve been similar results. There are accounts from the revolution as well as the war of 1812 where women did volunteer as scouts/ assassins. When the homeland is invaded all native people are liable to take up arms in its defense. History shows this in every war. Also Pavlivhenko would molly-wop most snipers of the era, I believe Simo was one of the only people close to her total.
You can’t compare World War II Russian women, or even modern Russian women to american women, Number one American women would never be able to make it through Russian training, and that’s a fact and that’s the way it is

“It wasn’t until after I volunteered that I was told I couldn’t go because I was female.”
A couple of weeks before the start of the course, school officials decided to let her attend, inadvertently making her a trailblazer.
On April 14, 2001, Weitekamp completed the course, becoming the first woman to complete a U.S. military sniper school - the first female sniper in the Air Force.
“The school was not easy, and there were days I wanted to go home,” Weitekamp said. “I was the first woman to go through; it was because of that and the opportunities it would open up for future women that helped me get through the training and kept me motivated.”
In 2012, 11 years after Weitekamp graduated, the ninth female graduated from the Close Precision Engagement Course (CPEC). The program is now located at Fort Bliss, Texas
Air Force Staff Sgt. Alyssa Gomez, 99th Ground Combat Training Squadron instructor, graduated from the CPEC on April 27, 2012-staff Sgt. Gomez became the U.S. military's ninth officially qualified female sniper.
It's an impressive story, particularly as the U.S. Armed Forces continue its path to gender equity.
Go, Army - keep up the excellent work.
😉👍✌️
She had standards that were less than a quarter of the male standards. She has nothing the to be proud of. She is a liability.
She is fucking Beautiful, Deadly too...
It's a biological male dummy.
It is better to be trained to defend yourself, your family, your friends and your country. Fighting in a war is not pretty but if you are the only one that can step up and do it more power to you. GOD bless you 🙏
Congratulations
just “M-4 rifle” assault is an action…
I want to know how they changed the standards just so she could pass
they didn't
@@ricpike7311they did
A woman can shoot as well as a man,,but did she pass the course to standards on all the other stuff added in
She got into sniper school quald as a sharp shooter?!?!
I looked this up because I told my daughter I would train her to be a sniper. 😅
So she didn't have to meet the standard... That's great. So she'll be a huge liability to whatever unit she goes to.
Good for her but we are not the first to have female snipers not only the Israeli forces have their own but the Russian forces they have certain rifles that was especially made for females
She deserves everything she has earned men seem a little intimidated by her
Only 80 years behind other countries this time. I think that's an improvement.
You'd be wrong.
That was a really nice way of saying she was “pushed through”. At least I got my Hogs tooth when standards mattered.
The M4 is a carbine not assault rifle
Repeat your statement and analyze it
Shame on the effort of sexists who are trying to belittle her accomplishment. If there is any doubt about women being capable, effective snipers, they only have to go to the history books that document the success of the female Russian snipers in WWII.
So, go forth "Little Sister" and raise a Little Hell. 🤗
You sound kinda cringe. They lowered the standards for her which is super disrespectful to the men that had to complete it with full standards
So many ignorant haters most who've not even served. 😅
PUPPYCREEK01: I SERVED for THIRTY ONE YEARS. I became an 8541 ( now 0317 ) Scout / Sniper in 1985. I also completed the MARSOF ( Advanced Course ) as well. AND, I have also completed REAL COMBAT DEPLOYMENTS. So yeah, I SERVED. I have no doubt WHATSOEVER that the STANDARDS were LOWERED for this FEMALE.... And I call B.S. on her "accomplishment".... Did YOU SERVE ???.. And playing Call Of Duty DOES NOT COUNT as ACTUAL military service....
Absolutely smearing the hard work that actually matters to pass.
Air national guard was the first branch to have a a female sniper
Guard just does it better
Dam straight
Standards dropped to allow inferior soldiers to get front page news.
When they were talking about having women in the marines (rmc) we all said that no one would pass. They lowered the standard to suit.
DON'T MAKE HER MAD!!!!!!!!!
Maybe we'll get the Next Lady of death.
Lyudmila Pavlichenko. One of the top snipers from world war 2
I have a close friend and fellow brother who was a Marine Scout Sniper and the amount of bullshit this is isn’t even comprehensible. He started with a class of 35 and ended with 5, these men are amount the best the organization has to offer. This cute, blonde, 100lbs soaking wet girl had absolutely no chance of passing standards… unless the criteria and scores were fraudulent or lowered beyond all belief.
Women are good, but compared to the best of the best they are fair to middling at best.
On top of that the lowering of standards in the us military makes this less of an achievement in every single way. She failed her final shot. That used to be a 100% fail. Now it's passable.

You can’t compare World War II Russian women, or even modern Russian women to american women, Number one American women would never be able to make it through Russian training, and that’s a fact and that’s the way it is
amazed by the comments from all the jealous guys who couldn't qualify to pump out septic tanks.
Much RESPECT soldier .
The Russians had lots of Female Snipers during WW2
The Russians where desperate af haha
Watch out for the specialists in your platoon sarge😂
I though you had to get 40 out of 40 multiple times to even think about going. If I would of known that I would of applied in the 80s.
She accomplished what men have been doing for years.
What’s your point?
@@radiokitty9007nah, she failed he final shot. She isn't doing a single thing men are doing
@@buffwafflemann379 What good does it do to blame someone for… winning unfairly by playing fairly, when you can blame the person who rigged the game. Why you gotta be bitter about her when you could put the blame somewhere more productive. Like on the person who passed her.
Yup..SHE was finally ALLOWED IN😊
Yup let's see how well she does first time she gets shot at because you know sniper are supposed to stay calm and women get mad about the toilet seat .
Seems odd that that's the first. How many snipers does the Army have? I've heard about the notoriously hard Sniper school, but it seems like more than 1 would be a woman
It’s notoriously hard because most MEN fail lol no way a woman passed under the same standard lol
no, it doesn't because women are physically incapable of doing the job. it's why they lower the standards, so women can pretend to compete with the men.
Man that beret’ looks like hot ass served on a pog platter
Standards were lowered
AFFIRMATIVE ACTION
This why no one joins anymore
Jesus..are you ACTUALLY from the U.S..have you been watching the news lately? THAT SIR, IS NOT THE REASON ENLISTMENT IS DOWN.😂
@@seekinmyshadowlands6875 it is actually
Not modified...russians during ww2 had a number of them..they were accurate
We once dated but now I've had to take out a 400 yard restraining order.
Sniper is not a position in the us army. Its a school you can go through. Congratulatuons...you can now also carry a scoped rifle eith your M4 rifle as well. Thats it.
NG has had multiple ovwr qualified female snipers. This isnt ground breaking.
That beret is ate up smh 🤦🏻♂️
So how low did they drop the standards?
She was a bunny
Sharpshooter ,oh my.
She could be called Artemis the goddess of the hunt and other things but the hunt is cool
Nah there was a force recon female sniper
Dr Ruth was a sniper for the IDF.
What she did would qualify a man to be a elementary school street crossing guard.
Her fellow soldiers are now at risk.
Girl Power ❤
Soon everyone will be snipers
Wow there a lot of butthurt guys here.
The new poster girl to promote enlistment.
Crap were doomed now
29 days 😂 British army sniper school is 14 weeks, c’mon guys do better
Participation award
Not the first won't be the last
Great job 👏 👍 👌 🙌 be safe God bless merry Christmas Great job. 👍
All the insecure men in the comments 😂💀
*People with common sense
Most men couldn't even get through sniper school, if you actually think this little girl did without changes to standards and procedures you're f*cking hilarious 😂
Bruv did you even serve your country like all the “insecure” men you speak of? Lol
It’s always funny to see their world crumble when a woman does something they didn’t. As if that invalidates her accomplishments.
It almost like none of have Heard of Lyudmila Pavlichenko
Ludmila Pavlockenko aka: the lady of death A bad ass sniper from world War 2. Over 300 confirmed kills.
@@ShadowsMobba It's almost like an 80 year old slavic army that fielded boys as young as 8yo and WW1 vets as old as 65 and women-largely to use as human meat shields-as a complete last resort, isn't comparable in the slightest bit to the all volunteer modern US Military. . . Most of those women were completely puffed up for literal propaganda efforts as well. It's pretty hysterical how the ignorant, without failure, are always so quick to point at the women in the Red Army; I can guarantee without a doubt 99.99% of all those women would've much rather preferred to be back in their home village surrounded by family and comfortability with babies growing in them, than they would to be fighting a war in sub-zero temperatures with death lurking around every corner . . .
I'm sure they changed the standards lol.
All the reddit keyboard warriors tryna shit on her need to get a life, props to her it's a massive achievement
They lowered the standards. Man or woman, she didnt meet the real standards
@@sheldonsimon4484 what's your MOS?

Oh boi…. **dives into comments**
Cali and oregon, probably cant hit shit
You know she was getting tossed around by command to get to go to sniper school trust me everybody we got some of the first female infantry things let they can’t even do pt keep up in training etc etc got preg most got chaptered out
Sharpshooter is not the highest qualification rank for marksmanship. Usually school slots for units are reserved for the best of the unit and are competed over intensely. You're comment is likely, but keep in mind the army is hurting for manpower so they are possibly filling slots with whatever is possible
If they want women in these speciality groups, have them pass their own PT not those for men and create a special branch just for women, no men allowed.
Hide site will be ripe after a few days.
If I were President, she would be my Senior Enlisted Advisor.
IF YOU WERE PRESIDENT...we wouldn't have the problems with enlistment that we do !
The fact she stands they’re like she’s actually earned it is disgustingly disrespectful too all the blokes who have actually earned it
Stands "They're".....interesting, I'll bet she knows when and where to use "there" as in "she stands there" opposed to "they're" as in "they are coming to challenge the norm"! 😊
Oh wow sharp shooter. Lets lower the standards to get a headline
Good on here .thanks for your tenacity 😊😊😊😊
This is just confirmation that the standards *dropped*
R.I.P. Military.
that is the most disgusting beret I have seen in my life. of any military!
Field mattress and easier standards I assume?😏
Active duty during peace time is kind of redundant if you think about it.
Special female standards.
Oh my...wtf..DE&I at its finest...their will be a seal team in the. future rescuing this POW woman
I wouldn’t be able to sleep if I was given something that was acquired through half assing and modified standards.
Let's lower the standards because we were order to do just like the 2 so call earn the ranger tab and the 1 who just earn the green beret
I thought a sniper's identity need to be a secret!? They were supposed to be high priority asset... 👀 And now the world knw how she looked like. Yes while she's highly in cammo while in-duty, she'll be (now) recognizable back at home. 😓
