- G'day, guys! :) In this video review, I'll be diving into the Modify PP-2000 GBB (PP2K). It's a replica that had the potential to be great but unfortunately falls short. I had many issues with mine, most of which I fix in this video. So, you definitely want to watch this video before buying!

Wow that sucks, any reason why disassembly causes demonetization? Seems like a strange reason!
@@dogedogego It seems TH-cam doesn't want you to see how a firearm works and how you can (re)create a firearm, or in this case a toygun. They don't make any exceptions for Airsoft.
Even though they are toy replica's, TH-cam sees it as real firearms and is treatening it as such, much to our disliking and discomfort. It sucks really hard.

I'm working on running a channel that's mainly focused on GBBs rn(sometimes some AEG stuff, but mainly GBB)
I’ve slowly phased out all of my AEG’s for GBBR’s lol, might have to get a cam
The positive stop being plastic is only on GEN1 PP2k's - which is what yours is evidently. Modify realized quickly what you also said in the video, and made the CNC-version standard. Their OTS-126 also comes with CNC positive stop as standard. It is their first GBBR, so fair play to them for making iterations and learning along the way.

@@pallaszlo7976 I've had no issues with my extended and short gas magazines. I've heard other people having problems, but no obvious cause for whether the magazines work well or not

I think mine is a gen1 and I haven't had any issues with it, at least not yet. I've fielded it about 7 times so far. I'll have to consider buying a gen2 just for the hell of it tho. Are the mags the same? I'd probably end up giving my gen1 to my friend who wants to get into airsoft, but I'd like to keep my extended mags from it if they are compatible.

My friend brought his early version to me for service. How lucky I haven't impulse purchased it!
He was complainning bb consistency is bad and the short gas mag can't even do a full auto mag dump.
Upon inspection all problem casued by under charging of the mag. in warmer weather you can't get enough gas into the mag, thus the fps inconsistency came out.
once charging enough all problem solved.
when i fixing his pp2k the selector inner plate broke. did a quick search online then i found the ver.2 of it.
and those steel parts are kinda easy to rust.
not recommanded.

I just received my Modify PP2k and I'm facing my own issue. I got the Airtac UK mp5 mag HPA adapter to use in it so the gas mag issue is irrelevant to me, but my PP2k is inconsistent as hell in terms of groupings. The FPS output is very consistent but the groupings are trash with .30g bbs. Gonna try a predator bucking in there and see what happens next!
Shame, the gun looks good, but can’t even works normal, glad I didn’t buy this yet☹️

I own one of this, got to clear the trigger problem and sometimes I still need to push the pin to let the spring doing it’s job
I bought the new generation of long gas magazine and they work fine (the one with the replica was garbage)
Despite these negatives points this is a really good looking and precise replica ! You can shoot far and straight with this tiny gun that make a lot of noise

Thanks for sharing! What a clusterfuck! Gunfire is selling a PP-2K *gen 2* since a few weeks, i wonder if that adresses these issues. But for that money i would seriously suggest to get an VFC MP7 gen 2. That thing works really well for me. Great video btw! Your editing is really easy for the eyes 🙌

I was so hyped on this replica but it turns out to be shitty af… WHY THE HECK is this so gas consuming? There is no heavy bolt, stiff spring… why it consuming a 12g CO2 cartridge while your extended mag has still some BBs left?
I sended mine instantly back, I think the only way to run it is via an HPA/AEG Magazine Adapter so you can have constant pressure without putting the system too much under stress with low PSI settings

Hey mate! I haven’t had a chance to look into those VFC M4’s very much so I couldn’t give you any specific advice but it should shoot straight enough without any mods. Could be the obvious things like barrel needs cleaning or you need heavier BB’s. Or it could be the hop up chamber needs to be inspected and possible disassembled. If you do end up doing that then you might as well swap out the bucking. But defs do that before buying anything else

This is an amazing video, and I have to give u props for using.... this gun... I personally hated this replica since I only use gas guns as well thanks to your channel!!! But yeah this gun definitely needs alot of help.

I never heard of you or your channel but i like the way you made this video and i think gbbs dont deserve the reputation that they get. I play gasblowback exclusively for over 8 of 12 years airsoft experience and they are a lot of fun. And id never go back to electric guns. If you know how to make them work they can be very reliable and just as accurate as a well built hpa or aeg. That is a great video for the player base👍🏻👍🏻 thank you!

Hello I have a question I saw on the modify page there are two pp2k to buy the only visually differents is on the name of the weapon in the shop one says pp2k Nr. 1234567A and the other model says pp2k Nr.1234567B
Now what is the difference between the A and B version and which is the gen 2 model ? With the upgrade parts
Ah man is it fun to get a cool gbb and the mags are just trash. Wouldn't be a huge problem if they didn't cost so much, but also with them costing so much we all would think they were built better. Like seriously people stop going cheap and pricing things to high

You bring up some good point I own a pp-2k and love it to death I have hpa taped it wich eliminate the gas problems and also just for convenience reasons since I live in a cold climate

Great footage and editing ! I guess the 3rd problem may be due to the hammer spring that just enough power to strike a valve with co2 at cool temperature, especially a heated up co2 mag during outdoor event will be tough for that hammer? It seems like Modify didn't make their pp2k well turned enough...:(

silicone oil for the trigger group? whoever sold you on that stuff is a shill. Should be using grease, something like superlube.
I had one from launch went through 6 positive stops i gave up when i waited for them to develop the metal ones and was told i had to pay for them

5:20 the difference in the gas amount used to propel the bb between low and standard nozzles is negligible, smaller than 1%. I'm sure what actually fixed gas consumption was the better seal between the nozzle and bolt carrier. Maybe it's one of the many changes they made to the gun since release, so I wouldn't be surprised if a new standard nozzle also fixes it.
Is that really the case? I’m open to being wrong about this but that’s not been my experience. Even the other way around. Higher flow nozzles emptied out mags faster than the standard nozzles and lower power nozzles had the opposite effect.
@@TOTALRECOILAIRSOFT The nozzle doesnt change the amount of gas released from the mag, it just routs it differently depending on what kind of nozzle it is (more to recoil, less towards the BB or whatever combo of the two). You could test this if you try to shim the seal on the magazine so it sits a bit higher and gets better contact with the nozzle. If there are no other leaks it usually results in a slightly more efficent replica.

so fun fact the PP2k uses the same mechanism for loading rounds as the real version of the gun and the ppsh meaning you dont need to charge the handle again after inserting the mag as long as it was previously fired. i didnt know this about the gun until i realised it uses a direct blowblack system changing how the gun loads and fires rounds.

Love to see the combat city gameplay again I've been looking at gbbr's I just cant get over the low bb count
Just play with whatever you have until you start getting bored. Then sell all your AEG’s and join the GBBR fam. The added challenge will make the game feel new again. I think that’s the best advice I can give ya
@@TOTALRECOILAIRSOFT also weight and price of mags without some compatibility with other gbbr platforms. My AEG m4 mags can work in almost every other m4 platform but the gbbr mags I can only use in 1 platform...

Have you had bbs just roll out of the barrel?
I have a gen1 too(since it was first released) and had my fair share of trouble but still love it.
On my the striker spring was broken pretty soon but since then the only thing broke was of course the plastic nozzle stopper.
I only have green gas magazines and those had changes too. Compared to the first gens the latest ones have better gas routers, fill valves(it was impossible to full charge the extended mags before) and a somewhat harder to move baseplate.
I have gen1 too. I hear they will deploy gen2 nozzle and it will work nice.
But i have very strange problem, with knocker set.

I have a gen1 pp2k and so far I havent had any issues with it. I'm glad to see a video about the issues I might potentially face and how to fix them tho.
You are so damn lucky dude. I’d recommend electrical taping the magazine butt plates on. Learned that the hard way.
@@kurtiswarner3530 thanks for the tip, I haven't had issues with my mag (yes, just one mag :c) yet but I'll try this to ensure they won't have issues later on.
For reference I've had my gen1 for almost a year and fielded it about 8 times so far so not actually that much active use yet, so maybe I will start running into more issues later on. I would like to pick up a gen 2 later on anyways tho for the improvements it brings. Then I can dual wield PP-2000s as long as my gen1 continues to work for :D

This is great info, it's a lot of work for this weapon platform but I feel like that makes it a flex in and of itself just to have one that functions. It speaks to your tech ability 😂 I plan on converting my mags to hpa, as well as getting a converted hpa mag that can take an mp5 drum
