Jason was put in a difficult position. NOBODY could replace Peter. He did the very best that he could, and it is highly commendable that he toughed it out for 31years !
Everyone wanted Jason to sound just like Peter. Very unfair and ridiculous. Peter is Peter, Jason is Jason. Period. Jason survived the pressure and grew into the role. He stayed with it for 31 years.
YOU! CHICAGO! CHANGED MY ENTIRE, LIFE! WITH YOUR SONGS. AND, MAINLY, " DON'T LOOK BACK"! THANK YOU! I AM 43 YEARS OLD NOW! AND STILL IS! A HIT! STILL, GOD IS IMPOTENT! BLESS YOU! I WAS 8 WHEN IT WAS A HIT! BLESS YOU!!! ALL. SINCERELY, CYNTHIA M. ROSSER-SHAY
@Jennifer Puhl God Bless you, so sorry for your loss. The band has been through so many changes in personnel. I agree that Jason has been a force amongst it all, very good. The stability and mainstay which has made them most endearing besides Robert Lamm is the horn section. Jimmy, Walter and Lee and that great sound which has defined Chicago for five decades plus. Seen them 5 times over the years, last time about 20 years ago before Peter bailed. A national treasure!!
Hi Lana, a lot of folks say that keyboardist Bill Champlin "junked things up" with excessive helpings of vocal riffs, but you're right-- he has a terrific voice, and tries to keep things fresh.
Wondering when my sweet little Jason first pierced his left ear...I almost cry when I f irst knew it many years ago!!! It has to be between late '92 and early 93, when he cutted his long hair!! I think he cutted his hair and inmediately put his earring ...I don't think he wore earring While with his long, fire colored curls ...
@wickedphantom24601 That I don't generally like earrings in men, that's the big deal. I don't love them in men, specially if I do love those men!!!, but on the other side I do also respect their right to use them if they want to or feel like it. Same with tattooes. Happily for me, Jason doesn't wear them anymore since many years ago....Not a jewelry man really...though I wouldn't mind if he wore a bracelet, collars, or belt chains ocassionally. That's pretty much it.
Seems like they don't have that transition between the two songs right. Seems like they're always fudging that. I know they're Chicago and I'm just some listener. But I think they can do better on that and I've never heard them do it right and I've heard them do it a thousand times.
Keith is so much better... Dwayne never actually plays the song. Keith brings Terry and his own style to the music... I think he's the best guitarist alive for chicago

This song was purely meant for Cetera. But really appreciate this version from Jason 🙌

One of my all time favorite groups. Will always be big fan

It is truly a special voice that can only be produced at this age.
3:48 From the point of view of a guitar player, Dawayne always gave his best. Soulful guitarist.
Love Dawayne's style.
seems his style "supports" the song.
The guitar was amazing flackking was freaking good🥰🥰
My favorite band
Dawayne is a total badass!
I will forever feel bad for Jason Scheff. Talk about an impossible task. But he's done a nice job...for 30 years now!

Nova Formação da Banda Chicago, Bacana Mesmo. 🏆
Essa banda nasceu pra dá certo 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
I really like his keyboardist's voice. It's husky and big. Jason is so handsome!

hard to follow Peter but Jason in his on way is just as good. Natural tessitura for Peter was higher but Jason holds his own.
2019?🤩❤👍
Tris imboden is like "Finally, a rocker!"
I'm lucky one❤
2:12 Bill hit the high notes. Wow
Jason?
@@PapaOsmubal.OscarBalajadia You can hear backing vocals from Bill.
Nao foi o Biil. Mas, o guitarrista.

man bill champlin ...and jason ....and dwayne ! lol !
I think Bill Chapin could have held the main vocals on his own. Great voice and passion for the Chicago music

Vocals are not a patch on Peter seteria
That is not Peter Cetera!
Just my opinion, but they didn't do justice to my fav tune, Get Away. It was missing the Chicago "magic".
Not great as Peter Cetera but his voice is good.

Yolanda Navajas I agree , I like Jason but this isn't PETER he had the magic Jason. just copies PETER !!!!!!!

Chicago career.....
Jason > Peter 😊
I was expecting Peter
WhitewithBlue he quit in the 80s but this video is from the 90s
Dewayne Bailey was an incredible guitar player, but he was too much for this band.

Peter Cetera is the MAN...
You ruined Get away, it was supposed to be WIND INSTRUMENTS ONLY!
Még tanulni kell énekelni mert fals.
Cover band
everything it’s ok but vocal is not ok😄
違うね
Szar az ének.
Peter Cetera a király!
Damn bad sound. I hope for the crowd that it sounded better live! Jason has the unique ability to screw up a great song.
The guitarist totally butchered the solo WTF!
Keith is so much better... Dwayne never actually plays the song. Keith brings Terry and his own style to the music... I think he's the best guitarist alive for chicago
Peter cetra is better
😆😆😆👍👍
This guy can't sing
Bill Champlain was fucking terrible.
This comment totally made my day :D
This isn't Chicago. This s a band covering Chicago. Poorly.
😆😆
He knew he could not hit those notes, that's why he backed off in mid note. Sounded like a bad cover band. They probably charged top dollar too.
They might be like a cover band. But they are sounding very tight
@@tieukhavu8832 problem is they are not a cover band and shouldn't sound like one, let alone a bad one.
