Pause at 1:45. The moment before you pull the trigger, you think of the past life of the one you will kill; the day he was born, how his parents fed him, how he was dressed up to be a gentleman, how he laughed and smile, etc etc. War is so cruel. I remember the movie "1944". Anyhow, amazing 1st person shooter :D
It is common for crews to unload the gun and leave the breach closed when not in operation. So a grenade in the barrel of a tank would not take out the tank, it might damage the gun, but it shouldn't compromise it, and it should still function. And the crew would be 100% safe.
The clip wasn't empty, only fired three shots. It was a blank firing gun, so had it been empty it would have ejected properly. In reality, I intended to shoot two shots at each target but after the third shot it jammed. -Brandon
Yeah yeah yeah I know its more "realistic", although I was under the impression there was mostly trench fighting, buuut I'm no historian. But when I'm on youtube watching things like these, and I quote the Mythbusters, if your name was Jamie, "Jamie want big boom."
Pablo Pelaez HAHAHAHAHA You're serious? Brothers In Arms, Red Orchestra 2, Battlefield 1942, Medal of Honor. All more fun and realistic, World at War is just an insult to veterans.
As was mine, and I love history too, especially war history. It's just weird how our culture has changed so much since then. Imagine having a father in his thirties who served in WW2 and hear you say that you love WW2. How different it is from today is what I was getting at. How hard it was for them and how easy it for us to observe now.
This is unrealistic. 1. Unless this was just after the D-Day paratroopers landed, the US squad should consist of more than 10 troops. 2. There should be more germans since the tanks need 4 people to run and the half-tracks carry 8 or more troops. 3. Why would even the US squad attack them? Its 3vs6 plus tank & half-track. 4. Germans know how to use a tank and a halftrack. Why didnt they just go inside and shoot the US squad with an MG? I'm not angry, just pointing out the issues with the realisim.
1. Yeah, maybe, but what if it was some patrol who got brave? 2. The Pz. Kmpfw. III has a FIVE man crew. Halftracks aren't always loaded with soldiers. That could also be a small camp, with the other soldiers on a patrol or just plain dead. 3. If you notice, both the tank and the Halftrack were out of commission(not in use at the moment). Among other things, they had the surprise and the flank. Numbers can still be dwindled by bullets. And like I said, they just got brave. 4. The flank the Americans took in this video would allow them to kill the men trying to crew the tank. Should anyone try to mount the Halftrack, they'd be dead(hence minute 1:20, the guy DIES. Why? He tried to do what you just pointed out). If anyone tries to get in the tank, they would be dead. 5. It's a video made by rocketjump. Realism isn't there niche.
First of all… are you nuts? Can't you figure out what this is? It's a live action version of a first shooter GAME! The director was doing a satire of the WWII video games out there. Unrealistic? That should have been your first clue… unless you're clueless. Holy cow you guys...
The enemy was wounded but a: not helpless B: He continuing to resist and was attempting to attain the means to resist IE: crawling to the weapon. Though the argument could be made for cruelty and callousness as impromptu execution it would have significant hurdles because of the A: immediacy of the combat action, B: and the fact that the combat action on the objective was not completed at the time of the indecent. C: and the combat plan did not include or provide for the disposition of prisoners (the combat leader made a conses decision to destroy all personnel and equipment of use to the enemy at the battle objective). Connor Branscombe It was a german rush over soviet borders using a tactic called the blitzkrieg and to watch it being performed, while horrifying, would be crazy to see in action.
there were very few tigers and panthers in action through the entirety of WWII, and Pz IIIs were very common, along with Pz IV, Sturmgeschutz, or STUGs, and even the occasional Hetzer.
WWII Tanks are the best especially German tanks. If only they manufactured the Maus. The Panzer IV Ausf H. is great for its upgrade from the Panzer IV Ausf F. The Germans manufactured quality not quantity, because Russia and The US was all about quality over quality. The Panzer IV Ausf H. is my overall favorite medium tank in WWII History
+Wesley Gibson the maus would of been terrible, it would use up too much fuel, it was too slow and couldn't even cross bridges. A couple dive bombers could of took it out and you have to remember that by the late stages of the war the allies hadthe air superiority
everybody commenting this is incorrect and all that BS just be quiet they did a good job. What TH-cam film has a German tank and halftrack like a film like this. so what it has stuff wrong with it. Its only a two minute film if it was 30 min to an hour that's different. this was a good little movie they made and its different you don't see any other ww2 first person movies out there... stop complaining.. had this been as I said before a 30 min to an hour film I would of expected blanks being used and proper patches and stuff like that but really there is no need...why do you think this has almost 5 million views
yea his generals were good, he wasnt that tactical. but he got germany to the stage where they were a world super power, none of his generals did that.
flakjacket5 But hadn't the Germans retreated by the time they landed there? I heard a story where the British stormed the beaches near Cannes and were greeted by a solitary waiter with a Champagne bottle on a tray, who told them, "Monsieurs are late."
Kicks pretty hard, loud as all get-out, and you have to watch your thumbs or they'll get caught in the bolt while reloading. It's also a pain to reload the clips.

In the scene where the German is struggling to get away a real soldier would have taken him prisoner instead of killing him. The Allies weren't the agressors so they wouldn't shout an unarmed enemy.
The Allies were pretty brutal sometimes, because often its down to the individual. As for government decisions, well Google Bomber Harris, considered a war criminal by most people
In the east front yes, because germans nazis killed a lot of russians civilians and at te end of te war the russians doesn't were seeing that germans soldiers were humans. They only think "Fascist! Kill it!". And not only russians and other soviet peoples, I supose...
um that is a halftrack not a Humvee... and theres NO 2013 weapons mounted on it.... ALSO!!! if there was 2013 weapons that would be stupid because this vid was posted in 2012 :P
The vehicles in this short were a half-track and a panzer III. They are both originals that have been restored for filming historically accurate films. I know this because I know the owner of the tank.
robotguy59 The pistol they used was the Colt M1911, as you can see in the video. The 1911 was made in 1911. WW1 began in 1914. Therefore, the pistol is historically accurate and you are a dumbass. Here is even a picture of a group of soldiers holding 1911's used in this video: www.rockislandauction.com/blogpics/2014/February/M1911WWIMFR/1911_WWI_01.jpg
the guy at the end with the 1911 just told me he was in this. Really nice guy but he's british. Love the camera work and its great to think these were the extras in Saints and Soldiers 2
*Your 2 selves:* Most people are not aware of the fact that they have 2 different selves. You have a mind and a spirit (consciousness), and thought they seem like one thing, they are separate. The way to realize this is to realize something has to be listening to the thoughts created by your mind. *What is it that hears your thoughts?* Google truthcontest. AAAwesome stuff.
PIATs were common but a small, air dropped commando crew most likely woult have on as they take two people to operate efficiently. One to carry ammo and one to carry and fire the weapon.
NO ITS NOT!!!!! Its a german half track painted khaki for the african core which leaves me thinking what is it doing in france? And the actual tank looks like a tiger tank which is a second world war tank.
alon sazonv Actually, just about 10% of Germany was Nazi. The rest of Germany either hated the Nazis or they were forced to live with it. The Wehrmacht (the German army) and the Luftwaffe, the two main German armed forces divisions, actually contained very, very few Nazi soldiers and pilots. Even some members of the SS were never affiliated with the Nazi party. P.S. The Nazis were actually a political party and forced their way to power even after 70% of German voters sided with another different political party.
Freddie!!! you guys should totally make a WW2 movie with first person scenes like these, but also open flield perspective so it looks EPIC O_- like who agrees!
Not only tried, but succeeded. Canadian soldiers were also deployed all over during the war. Hong Kong, North Africa, Italy and Sicily, Normandy on D-Day, the list goes on.
Generally in a situation like this one you don't want to send your flanking team in the same direction you're going to be shooting towards. It tends to end in an un-"friendly" manner. An assault on a fixed position should be set up in a "L" shaped assault or ambush.
why are the most of you complaining? this is actualy pretty good made, they bought the halftrack, the tank, the guns, the uniforms all for this 2:15 video i think that this is done well, even if its a bit unrealistic
There are a few versions of "Luger". Regular 4 inch (most common, side arm of an Officer, later in WW2 replaced by P38 pistol) There is artillery one (artillery, longer barrel with different sights) and navy one (barrel even longer). Navy one is most praised amongst collectors. Action is the same, upper is different. But if you come in possession of an Navy/Arty P08 it'll probably will be your brand new car unless you are collector...
They were not obligated to join, but did so 7 days after Britain and France. They were independent at that point and it was the first independent declaration of war for Canada. It was both part of the common wealth and independent (meaning it was equal to Britain and other common wealth countries). Canada and several other countries are still presently part of the commonwealth.
awesome! I am assuming this was filmed in Colorado? That is also the same german vehicles as in Airborne Creed. I guess its in colorado because thats where the movie was filmed and because I got to see the exact vehicles at a local reenactment. The Panzer III is one of the only original ones in the world.
Canada liberated most of Italy, and they took the most heavily defended beach of D-Day. This, they did with few tanks (which arrived late anyway), and a complete miss on the naval bombardments part. Even with that, they still took their beach before the Americans and the British and French. There was a reason German troops nicknamed Canadian troops "Storm Troopers".
My grandfather was in WWII and trust me, this video is realistic except for their small numbers..in the 40's we didn't exactly have the tech to do a lot of long range fighting like today. Also he was crawling to his weapon, meaning he wasn't going to surrender. They were desperate back then and used tactics they could to get the job done. It's the reason we won that war unlike Vietnam. I'm also not saying we didn't fight at long ranges, our rifles had a bit further range then theirs.
Well I guess we're pretty much all equal on the internet and I try not to be a douche, you were right. My mistake was taking the 'free zone' in the south of france to not have been conquered which is why I said that, also I do respect the fact that I was wrong, you were right and you called me out on it without insulting my mother or sexual orientation which is really, really cool. The internet would be better off with more people like you
I like how you're talking about how unrealistic this is without even mentioning the fact that this was three guys attacking 10+ people with tanks. He couldn't have taken the German hostage, they were three dudes behind enemy lines. War sucks but you have to do what you have to do. I like your avatar, by the way.
yes. I think that by the difference in the uniforms in the captain he looked like a ranger and the other 2 were most likely 101st or 82nd. yes we know about this stuff for others reading this commen
you guys have really got to stop arguing over pointless crap about who is better than who. it gets tiring, This is a fan made video not a history recording. just enjoy the video please.

I don't feel sad for the soldiers. They choose that path. The sad fact is their families losing their loved ones.
Midoro Guron how do you know you are not evil?
Good thing those german's had storm trooper aim.
good thing that regiment was actually called stormtroopers
Mylo Kindness lmao
bn dawg lol
@@mylokindness65 Nice try. But stromtroopers were WW1 units, not WW2.
@@Findalfen no, there are stormtroopers in WW2 still, however much lesser and lesser important
Is it just me or were those two explosions at the end seriously anticlimactic?
They were just disabling the vehicles with frag grenades, not satchel charges or anything
Tell me about it.
the explosion it's self isn't that big it's the shrapnel that dose most of the damage
It is common for crews to unload the gun and leave the breach closed when not in operation. So a grenade in the barrel of a tank would not take out the tank, it might damage the gun, but it shouldn't compromise it, and it should still function. And the crew would be 100% safe.

ok
I wonder how they center their cameras so well to make it look like the person/player is looking through the eyes of the character.
For a split second at 1:39 you can see a soldier on the left just standing there doing nothing.
He was scared. He got the heeby jeebies
He was scarce

A grenade down the barrel of a tank would never work.
Tell that to Daryl from TWD :P
MegaFrohman1 u watch that scene too, where the governor tries to raid the prison.
Idc what TWD says. a grenade could never blow back a firing pin of a tank.
Yeah the tank barrels weren't as weak as the 88's or the 105 artillery guns. I doubt even TNT would do the job.
Blake Cordell well they arent powerful enough to blow back the firing pin or whatever u call them for a tank.

Have no idea what you even mean bro
I think you have an idea because were talking about the video, 3 quarters are American and the other quarter is other nationalities.
I guess I'm not sure ?
Hiter might not have been the good guy but he was brilliant at war he was so brilliant he could take out 1,000 soldiers with 100 men
And he could replace all his good generals with crap ones
Christopher Tipuric and make numerous tactical fuck ups causing him at least 3 good generals and about 4 armies
yea his generals were good, he wasnt that tactical. but he got germany to the stage where they were a world super power, none of his generals did that.
alex winkelmann I'm not saying he wasn't a great political leader but he wasn't that good as a military leader

why? what was so special at this scene?
Why is it a must to shoot soldiers at point blank range with pistol? Why can't they just use their rifles? (Just asking)
To conserve ammo for longer range shots.
Thanks, Yoda :)
Well said
Oh fuck off with that spam.
1:44 HOLY SHIT, M9 IN WWII, THAT IS AWESOME AND HAS AN INCREDIBLE REALISM, Good video, hehe.
it is a colt 45
dafuq is a ww2 at crew doing without a piat?
PIATs were common but a small, air dropped commando crew most likely woult have on as they take two people to operate efficiently. One to carry ammo and one to carry and fire the weapon.
Because they got fed up of the damn thing and chucked it most likely.
21st Century tank...nice:D
NO ITS NOT!!!!! Its a german half track painted khaki for the african core which leaves me thinking what is it doing in france? And the actual tank looks like a tiger tank which is a second world war tank.
ok alright mister
Andreas Overmyer That doesnt look like a Tiger tank at all! That tank is obviously a Panzer I or a Panzer IV.
David Nilsson Panzer 3 probably
***** No i think your mistaking its a panzer 18 tank duuhhhhhhhh
I'm Half German and this is an Insult...
It's only an insult if you are nazi not German most Germans did not fight in the war the nazis did
Probably not quite as insulting as industrial scale genocide, but then.. *that's just my opinion*.
Lol.. Nice One
alon sazonv Actually, just about 10% of Germany was Nazi.
Well guys.. Here's my revelation.... My Great Grandpa was a Wehrmacht/WaffenSS/Heer or in short, a Nazi.. He died Defending our Fatherlands.
I watched Saints and Soldiers: Airborne Creed a few weeks ago, and now I see that freddiew did pretty good job of recreating it for us here.
Well, I was gonna tell them, but you got to it first. Good job man. I'm a history lover too.
That is really realistic good work Freddie !!!
Freddie!!! you guys should totally make a WW2 movie with first person scenes like these, but also open flield perspective so it looks EPIC O_-
like who agrees!
damn i havent seen this channel in a year i think. i remember when this channel only had a million views
"The graphics just keeps getting better and better|
Wow the call of duty ww2 trailer was not how i expected
This is awesome. Definitely going in my favorites.
Man this call of duty Wwii update is Lit!
That was awesome. Doesn't make sense why the germans weren't dug in if there was a tent, but still an awesome video.
Can’t believe RocketJump predicted COD WW2
why are the most of you complaining?
this is actualy pretty good made, they bought the halftrack, the tank, the guns, the uniforms all for this 2:15 video
i think that this is done well, even if its a bit unrealistic
This video makes me long for the days of CoD WaW.
But if you come in possession of an Navy/Arty P08 it'll probably will be your brand new car unless you are collector...
that was freaking awesome man! subscribed!
HOW HAVE I NOT SEEN THIS YET?
i love how the explosions did fuck all xD
I like the Afrikakorps paint on the German vehicles.
The Sdkz would have been dark grey and the Panzer IV would have had a camo paint job.
Pz.Kpfw. III *
They pry do not have much variety option when it comes to that, I imagine all this was rented or borrowed.
Thomas Litzen The Panzer III Ausf L, or Panzerkampfwagen III Ausf L. Both yours and his are correct :) EDIT my bad I saw he said Panzer IV :P
Those german classes are paying off! I'm getting every tenth word now!
I wish people would work together like this in FPS games...
Those weapon props were damn good
This is a re-enactment of Operation Dragoon. Rocket Jump did their homework. Look it up.
nice work he did a great job on this one
My grandfather was in WWII and trust me, this video is realistic except for their small numbers..in the 40's we didn't exactly have the tech to do a lot of long range fighting like today. Also he was crawling to his weapon, meaning he wasn't going to surrender. They were desperate back then and used tactics they could to get the job done. It's the reason we won that war unlike Vietnam. I'm also not saying we didn't fight at long ranges, our rifles had a bit further range then theirs.
Look at that joke, flying all the way across the sky. And you're missing it!
The internet would be better off with more people like you
Sigh this brings back memories of the good ol days of CoD finest hour before it became a game for children.
Historic GoPro footage
i love the gun sounds for 2012 they are really good
I like how you're talking about how unrealistic this is without even mentioning the fact that this was three guys attacking 10+ people with tanks.
He couldn't have taken the German hostage, they were three dudes behind enemy lines. War sucks but you have to do what you have to do.
I like your avatar, by the way.
I don't think Minatovssouji has done anything wrong...
yes. I think that by the difference in the uniforms in the captain he looked like a ranger and the other 2 were most likely 101st or 82nd.
yes we know about this stuff for others reading this commen
you guys have really got to stop arguing over pointless crap about who is better than who. it gets tiring, This is a fan made video not a history recording. just enjoy the video please.
this is pretty damn good!
Oh my god.. People aren't complementing this enough, I mean all those comments seems like they want a debate.
More! MORE PLEASE ITS SOOOOOO GOOD
