No doubt the hardest Mario game ever. I remember when i was a kid in the 90s, i was playing after School trying to beat the game. Pure respect for the gamers who completed Lost Levels.
I beat it all the way through. 1-1 to D-4. This version on All Stars. The hardest thing Ive ever done in gaming. Took me almost 3 weeks and is the only time I ever broke a controller. The level was C-3. I dont know how many times I died on that level but it finally got to me and I smashed the controller on the ground and pieces went flying lol.
Amazing whoever played this game should get an award for this I mean they played game without getting hit or nothing flawless victory for real best I ever seen
All of these jumps with no hesitations are giving me mild anxiety lol. I would’ve been jumping so many times thinking I’m gonna get hit or lose a life doing those jumps.

Agreed. My younger brother and I spent many Saturday mornings playing this in the early 1990's when it was released on SNES. We were both excited to beat it. The kid just turned 10 and I was 21 back in the day. Originally, this was supposed to be released as the original Super Mario Bros 2, but it was deemed too difficult.

wait a minute, this is not a tas (tool assisted speedrun) luigi stops at some moments that are not necessary, such as to collect coins, they only serve to gain a life, and he is not supposed to lose, rather this is a "has" a human assisted speedrun

I can honestly say that it was hard, but I still was able to beat it. However, it was a good thing that they didn't release this as SMB2 on the NES.
