Also strange that they keep putting Alcaraz and Sinner on the same side of the draw so Djoker doesn't have to play them both back to back.

You would think after 20 years on the tour Djokovic would have developed thicker skin by now. Perhaps the crowd who paid big bucks to get seats wanted a longer match & get their money's worth. Perhaps they were just trying to raise the spirits & level of Rune who not only had to face Novak but was probably overwhelmed being on Center Court. People will always pull for the underdog if Djokovic hasn't realized this by now then he needs to get out of the way of his ego.

Also I d like to see Paul against Alcaraz : the American has a veeeery good record against Carlos and I like his style on grass, coming to the net to finish points and he has a great mentality. Of course if Carlos plays his A game, it will be though but I believe Paul might beat him. Same for De Minaur, that will be an extrem Test for Novak, physically and mentally. The djocker will need a lot of short point, mean a good serve and +1 to limit the rallies against Alex. I m very exited for these quarters, there could be stories in every match❤🎉

For me, I think the ones who made the selection of these tennis players were quite very lenient to Novak because the scheduling of the tournament - they tennis players on the days when Novak plays, were not real superstars. While on the other days, we have Sinner, Alcaraz, and Medvedev. In the finals, you will have again Novak against any of these super tennis players - Sinner, Alcaraz, and Medvedev. Because if Sinner and Alcaraz will be semi-finalists, then the winner between the two will fight Novak. And who knows - Novak will get the trophy????? Why not give the trophy to any of these young ones? Novak has already 24 grand slams - don’t be greedy Novak? I like Novak and I acknowledge him to be a GOAT, but please, let the younger ones prove themselves too!!!!!!

Something I'm not seeing discussed enough is the lack of black tennis players breaking through, there's just so much talent there, and I know there's socioeconomic and other reasons for this but they'd be dominating if things looked a little different.
They also bring huge amounts of star power, which has been lacking in tennis and needs if it wants to be bring the views, especially after the end of the big 3.
While all the top players seem like real great dudes, I'm surprised what kind of gentleman they all are, that just does not carry much weight. Only Alcaraz is bringing that star power, x factor energy.
