Makes me smile that you think Cowes is scary, when you are based in Haslar! One Red Funnel car ferry and one Red Jet vs numerous Brittany Ferries, WightLink car ferry, WightLink fast cat, hovercraft, cruise liners, banana boats, tankers, a couple of aircraft carriers and a Type 42 or two 😂
Ocean Village, a lovely spot, so well situated. Well that really was our first look into Cowes, we've been waiting for a quiet day and strangely the last bank holiday Monday was it! We feel only slightly less terrified of it now 😊
@@FreeSpiritsII we are new to sailing ourselves. 18 months in and loving it. North Basin has more room if you want to stay over. Cowes town is a great place with lots of shops and good places to eat. It's worth the terror of going in and mooring up. 😀🙂😅

We love the solent too! Berthed at Ocean Village marina ourselves. Cowes is always scary, especially mid summer, sooooo much traffic. 😳
