- This a quick guide to show you how to trap and tame the Dinopithecus in Ark Survival Evolved on the New Map Lost Island. I give information about all the items you will need. I recommend a stone 2x2 trap and in addition a shotgun, net gun and exceptional kibble.

When I tried trapping, the hunger stopped. When i let it roam, hunter goes to 0
Was there any other dinopithecus nearby? If it gets it’s alpha status back from a nearby dino it will stop taming
I once had one bug out on me after a first feed it never got hungry again but that was once.
With the poop you can stun other dinos and with the poop grenade you still stun them but they take dmg form the grenade
I guess the grenade you need a mix of grenades and poop.

Found a really easy method, take one alpha away with your flyer. Drop it in a trap. Then bring another monkey as well. Kill the non alpha one and you can tame it like that

while I was killing the betas the alpha kept jumping out by standing on them and I don't know how to make them stop doing that
Oh damn maybe try captain fat dogs trap his will take a bit of back and forth but they it separates them all
Rn on official it takes 3 mut to tame a 145 so super easy tame for how good they are

How can you tame the babies?
I don’t think you can. You can only tame an alpha. I tried with the maewing but it doesn’t work

All over the redwoods
I just use a Wyvern, bite until the beta's are dead. By the time that happens the Monkey is already below 85% then just feed it. No ammo needed. Tamed 6 in about 15 minutes that way. Level 100 and above. Official server. Before ya'll start with the "oh it's a single player or modded."
