Thank you! I’ve been using this completely wrong, 😅 glad I could fix the user error so I didn’t have to replace my carrier like I thought.

Thank you for this video! This has made me feel confident in taking my baby out and about. I also have the Beba mour hip seat baby carrier. I was wondering whether you thought it was safe for the hip health of baby? My baby is 5 months old, for reference

If your baby doesn’t have a problem with their hips & theirs no family history, then you aren’t going to do them any harm. However, having the baby’s knees lower than their bottom (as if they were perching on a barbstool), is going to make them feel heavier. If you get their knees up, into a seated or deckchair type position, they will feel lighter as it distributes their weight around your torso more effectively. Does that make sense?

For a 3.5 month old would they be considered a big baby? He doesn’t have full control of his head so can’t face forward yet. When he is in the carrier his arms are pressed against my chest so his head can see/be off my chest is that okay

The key point in the video is about making sure he can sit with his knees comfortably bent over both sides of the seat if you put it into the wide setting. If he can, & you can follow the safety guidelines, also mentioned in the video, then you’re good to go. Hope that helps. 👍🏼
