    Just spoke with May Trucking. They currently pay 42 CPM, their trucks go 61MPH for the 11 western states division and it’s forced dispatch. It’s a NO for me.
    Compare that to Knight Transportation who pays more, has better bonuses, faster trucks and no forced dispatch. Easy decision.

    I was with May for 6 years. I went to May for the training, stayed for the respect. Unfortunately, they grew and the respect was lost, so I left. I now realize now, that May is a very low paying company. The company I’m with now paid me 1000 for 2 days of orientation. Plus I have a truck well equipped with all the amenities.

      @@TheRealNickZ I drove for May for over 5 years. Just recently started with JCT. Pay is way better. My first month I made over 6k.

      I believe may trucking is great starting company to gain experience with friendly staff but the big money is with moms and pops small companies but as far as people who been with the company long term, they usually there because it is very comfortable or they level up as mentors or they happen to live in states where they offer local positions. Unfortunately i was non of the above

    I’ve been thinking about starting out with this company. I’ve read they would let me take my dog if I put down a deposit.

    Thanks for the video! I'm thinking about going to Orientation in either Oregon or Phoenix. The only thing that concerns me is the supposedly fast training time. Do you know how long they can let you be with your mentor out on the road?

    • @caseyvloge8827
      @caseyvloge8827  ปีที่แล้ว

      They pretty quick for example back when i joined them in 2018 as soon as i was done with orientation i was assigned with a mentor within 2 days also paied for me staying at the durury hotel in Phoenix the whole time

    I live a couple of miles away from their terminal. Will they let me be home every night? Also do they hire new drivers out of CDL school?

    • @caseyvloge8827

    I got 2 tickets in 2020 and 4 others in 2019. With 3 suspensions for not paying DMV fines around the same time in 2019. You think them being a 2nd chance company that they would take me? I'm clean on all other fronts. No DUIs,no accidents,no rollovers,no criminal record 5 years exp with the last 3(2019-2022) being a diesel mechanic and trash trucks.

    If you loved MAY TRUCKING so much then you could have never bothered leaving.

    • @caseyvloge8827
      @caseyvloge8827  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Very true, the reason i am leaving is that 1500 a week is not enough for experienced drivers but enough for entry level driver i left looking for the big money and mega carriers such as may is designed to train so i was considering the 1500 as an internship once it's completed i am moving to make mpre money since most big money companies require 2 years at least and my time with may was that 2 years.

      @Cody Guaraggi yessssssir the old saying goes; you can get the trucker outta the truck but you can't get the truck outta the trucker
      I stopped stopped because uber was on fire 2021 i was making on average 2500 to 3500 last year so i went with it but uber is back to normal aka crap so i am going back to trucking in march for sure and i will make more trucking videos. Good luck, my man and be safe with these roads and anything you need let me know i am here to help
