    Yes. Perry Miniatures are easily my favourite plastic figures. That's for both the sculpting of figures & for the contents & price of the sets. Good review.

      Totally agree. I really want to get more European armies out of them. That’ll be the next project after Ww2 is done! Thanks for watching!

    Nice in-boxing video. Welcome to the Lion/Dragon Rampant community. I will have to do an un-boxing video of the Perry 1500 knights and mercenaries boxes, and the Warlord Landsknecht Starter Army box. I'm looking forward to doing the Swabian War and Italian Wars with Lion Rampant.

    Good unboxing. Don’t have this set but I’ve bought loads of Perry Wars of the Roses sets which are excellent. Watching this has given me the urge to get a few boxes of these and English too.
    Perry sets all have these types of bases. I base all mine individually but a lot of people multi-base their figures (which do look nice but I would rather have the option of using figures for skirmish) so I suppose that’s why they supply these style of bases. Got piles of them I’ve never used.

    • @carthagemustbedestroyed
      @carthagemustbedestroyed  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lee Hughes ah yes well, I’ve also got rendera bases that are exactly 20x20mm bases and divisible sizes in other boxes... I think the warlord imperial infantry for pike and shotte came with them. It’s weird that it’s either the shorter ones like this box had or the 20mm ones lol
      Haha well good for Perry if my video is making you wanna buy more ! The English box also looks great and I’m sure I’ll be facing a lot of them. I also have a buddy who has hundreds and hundreds of war of the Roses minis from Perry... he’s going for something crazy like 4500 infantry.. actual army! Lol

    I am used to building plastics but found these ones to be slightly awkward compared to the MAA set.There isn't much variation in the poses and make sure you get the right arms set!

    • @carthagemustbedestroyed
      @carthagemustbedestroyed  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      johnp4000 Thanks for the heads up! I’m building them for lion rampant on individual 20x20mm bases so I think I’ll be okay but if I ever want to make them rank and file units I’ll watch out for this! There’s no real way to determine what arm goes where so I’ll carefully build one dude at a time :)

    Nice review, i have now been able to put together these 28mm figures from perrys and warlord but at first i was a bit all banana fingers when assembling swords, axes and vizors etc,slowly (very)seems to be the best way!

    • @carthagemustbedestroyed

    Did u play lion rampant? is it easy? with that box and 6 mounted knights from an other box can someone make an army for lion rampant and maybe be left with some extra miniatures to start making a second army? (army of 24 points)

    • @carthagemustbedestroyed
      @carthagemustbedestroyed  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey there. I've actually yet to play, though so far the rules are very straightforward and anyone can start playing after a game or two it seems.
      You certainly could. With the Agincourt French Infantry as well as the new plastic mounted knights, or 6 others, you could already start playing a 24 retinue for Lion Rampant, as long as you dish points out correctly. You may need to get another box if you want extras, tough. I'm at the bare minimum with just a box and 6 metals!

      Holy Diver Agema miniatures also supplied the same bases in their old Republican Roman box sets... I’m sure they have some use but I think 20x20 mm basing is pretty darn standard throughout the wargaming world! Oh well. I always sell them on eBay so some use them!
