@@kanefears4245 I know everyone's experience and thought process is different, but for me, Daddy was the second song by KoRn that I ever listened to (first being Freak On a Leash), and I found that it actually made me respect KoRn, and Jonathan Davis as a person, more. It didn't ruin KoRn for me, it made me respect them and want to learn more about them, which I did, because I've went through and listened to their entire discography since then. I think for a lot of people, it won't ruin KoRn, it'll just make them a more interesting reaction choice and they'll probably focus on the lyrics more.
@@passingaway I had a similar experience. Daddy was my second song right after Freak On a Leash. And understanding the story behind it really made me fall in love with the band even more
Jonathan Davis the lead singer is also a Scottish bagpipe player who sometimes wears a kilt skirt not just as a costume but as a representation of his Scottish heritage. Song {Falling Away From Me}
This was the cutting edge of metal when it came out. You had old school metal heads that hated it and folks like me who loved it and thought it was great. So heavy but also had groove. Their breakdowns are very cool. I think what I like most is how percussive the bass is. It cuts through the mix like a snare drum.
Jonathan Davis's 'freakout' on vocals is a bit of legend. Kind of stands him out from most others. Korn themselves, stood out from most others. They were not like any other band, nor has any one been able to copy them right. Of the few reasons I like and admire them musically.
Korn is one of the all time greatest creative artists out there, they did to rock in the late 90s what Nirvana did at the beginning of the decade by redefining what was possible in the genre, and even though they inspired a new wave of musicians no one sounds remotely like them. Falling Away from Me is the natural followup to this video but Thoughtless, Here to Stay, Blind, Somebody Someone, Make Me Bad are all great tracks to check out.
ANOTHER great song choice, Emma! It looks like someone with some taste is recommending some good songs for you. Keep it up... I really dig it (as we used to say). SHOOTS AND LADDERS and COMING UNDONE are two of my favorite songs from this band.
Check out Yngwie Malmsteen's version of Carry on My Wayard Son! It's an absolutely incredible version.

There are many Korn songs you can react to but, to appreciate the vocals of Jonathan Davis (Korn's lead singer), one video I recommend you is the live version of this song in which he sings it together with Amy Lee, the lead singer of Evanescence. It's a TOTALLY DIFFERENT version of "Freak on a leash" (acoustic version with orchestral instruments) that I'm sure you'll love it. Another video I recommend you to watch for you to appreciate Korn's live performance greatness, is their version of "One" (Metallica's song) in the tribute to Metallica concert. The video is "Korn - One (Live on MTV Icon)". You definitely should watch those two videos, as I'm certain you'll love them and, of course, we all will love to watch you reacting to both of them. Greetings from Argentina. 🇦🇷
After you listen to the album version of Blind you have to check out Woodstock 99 version and see the crowd reaction! Lot of great korn songs. A.D.I.D.A.S, Twist, Clown, Yall wanna single, Here to stay, Liar... oh and can't forget Korns version of Another brick in the wall, a Pink Floyd cover.
I never really got into Nu Metal. Maybe Im too old🙂. I did like Nirvana's/ Soundgarden's sound (Grunge metal?) at the end of the 80's start of the 90's. But its still good to hear and read about all sorts of music Emma, so keep these varied music reactions coming👍
more songs by korn to checkout - narcissistic cannibal, get up, coming undone, start the healing, worst is on the way, rotting in vain, a different world, black is the soul, never never, cold, the darkness is revealing, idiosyncracy, h@rd3r, falling away from me, you'll never find me, can you see me, take me, here to stay, alone i break, did my time, shoots and ladders
more - metallica, foo fighters, disturbed, korn need some - slipknot, falling in reverse, five finger death punch, hellyeah, stone sour, papa roach, three days grace, bullet for my valentine, like a storm, rise against, seether, mudvayne, hatebreed, all that remains, skillet, escape the fate, black veil brides, shinedown, pop evil, avenged sevenfold, halestorm
Please Please Please dont listen to "daddy" from Korn until you've heard like 10 other songs or you are going to react to their first album entirely which starts with the song"blind" thaht you may want to react to lol..keep up the dope videos!
Seconded, the Live performance with a Full Orchestra is absolutely SUBLIME/MAGICAL, I think Emma would love it; Emma is A TRULY WONDERFUL and BEAUTIFUL/TALENTED YOUNG LADY; 🙏💃💃💃🎶🎵🎧🎙🍁🍁🙏💃💃;
Korn was unique, but so was disturbed, let’s not get into Marlyn Manson and many others. What strikes me the most that it’s making a comeback. I guess no one likes the AI music 😂. This music was written by the singer or band not by some Hollywood song writers. I still think Nirvana had the best voice. You could hear emotions in his music. Well RIP Kurt Cobain he was great (Smells like teen spirit)
Falling away from me is the direct followup on this video. Must warn is a powerfull and emotional one.
**Daddy entered the chat** 😅
@@crayzeewhorsecmon man. Don't ruin korn for her. Save that for last. You gotta prepare for that song

Korn is a hell of a rabbit hole to go down. The pioneers if Nu-Metal
Thousands of concerts and the only lead singer I've seen come out rocking the bagpipes and a black leather kilt. Always a blast
Actually, Bon Scott did those same things, and he did it first
@true, but he’s also been dead since 1980.

Has such an amazing voice! Falling away from me for sure needs to be next KoRn!
The middle breakdown/beat box moment always catches new listeners by surprise. 😂
GO!!!!!!....... RAAAAGGGHHH

Love your accent love korn. Falling away from me is a great song too ^^
Gooo!!!

It's two Korn posters playing catch with a bullet. 😮
Every time I see this video it takes me back to The TRL countdown back in 1998 was a great time for Nu- metal music
This takes me back, it's been awhile since hearing this. Looking great Emma, so beautiful. Hello from Alberta!!
Hey, thanks!
KORN, are the OG' S of this sound, ( NU METAL )they've influenced many other bands. They are from my hometown of BAKERSFIELD, CA.
Bako! East Siiide!

Brilliantly done Emma
hi emma loved your reaction great choice to start with great song 😘
The bass player slaps the bass right along with the drummer's kick drum patterns
Watch Blind the video for clean vocals and Blind woodstock 99 to see 600k people absolutely lose it to the song that was birth of new metal.
YES! That performance is unreal 🤯

i never get tired of this song.. well, i get a little tired of the verses, but i never get tired of the rest of it
Wow wow wow how stunning beautiful does Emma look thanks for the reaction hope you have a lovely night U just gained another subscriber ❤
Korn's guitarists play a 7 string guitar with the lowest string being a Low B. The bass is a 5 string also down to Low B
Korn tunes their guitars down a step. So the lowest string is an A.
@@lewe666 Well standard is drop B but yeah, I know many that drop it further even down to C
Frank on a leash is a korn klassic
