Shikhany are isolated hills in the Bashkir Cis-Urals. They consist of four single mountains: Toratau, Shakhtau, Yuraktau, and Kushtau, forming a narrow chain stretched along the Belaya River for 20 km. They are located near the cities of Sterlitamak, Ishimbay, and Salavat. They are the remains of a barrier reef formed in the warm sea of the early Permian period. Fossils are found in the deposits - the remains of ancient invertebrates. The characteristic features of the Bashkir Shikhany and many waste heaps are the presence of a gentle slope, with an inclination angle of about 30 degrees, going from top to bottom, and natural screes. Shikhan Shakhtau no longer exists. This mountain has been completely demolished by soda mining for 60 years. The rock of this mountain went to the production of the world's cheapest baking soda. There were attempts to demolish the rest of Shikhany, but eco-activists from all over the country defended these unique natural monuments.

Near the mountains, there are small lakes. The film also includes scenes shot underwater with a GoPro9 camera as if giving a visual comparison with the ancient sea. Our filmmaker Alexey Romanov in his story about the filming and about this place, said: “It’s strange for me to realize that many local residents are used to the fact that they see this unique natural area every day and stop considering it worthy of attention! Just imagine - this is a real coral riff from the ancient sea! You can wander around here, and find prehistoric fossils, ancient shells... I tried to convey these feelings and sensations while shooting, that earlier, millions of years ago, these high mountain peaks were also underwater."
