I really loved her message, since this song isn’t about actual bad girls. It’s about the girls who don’t follow the social norms, who challenge misogynistic men, who do what they want in life, who speak up when they see sexual harassment, who aren’t a bystander when someone is getting bullied, who wears what they want and doesn’t care about what people think. The girls who are labelled as “bad girls” when they do things out of the social norms even if it’s the right thing to do. This is a very empowering song if you look into the lyrics and music video deeply. Lee hyori is forever a feminist queen I love her songs

As you may have noticed, this song isn’t actually about being a “bad girl” but is actually a tongue in cheek commentary on how women who are speak out or “misbehave” are labeled as bad, even if they are reacting to an injustice in the first place. Lee Hyori herself has always been unapologetically outspoken, even on social issues (she’s famous for being an animal rights activist), and she used to get smeared pretty bad for it by tabloids and anti-fans back in the day. Didn’t stop her from being THE most popular female celebrity in Korea in the 2000s. She’s such an icon.
Hyori's music videos aren't exactly forthcoming if you don't speak Korean (they can seem the opposite of their message without the added context), but damn if they aren't still catchy. I love her song "U Go Girl" probably the most. She's effortlessly sexy but also extremely pro-women in all the best ways.

And subsequent hits such as "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang," & " U go girl". Later on she grew to be more spiritual through yoga. And her later hits showed that such as "Seoul". She is regarded as a legend in Kpop and has kept her star power through the 20 plus years in the industry. She later become to be involved in Charitable work with regards to Animals. Probably more but thats all i remember off the top of my head. Just know ANY korean person will automatically know Lee Hyori.
