When I want to empty the bucket on my V8, the bucket has recently started to come off when I pull up and after down the cyclone. What could be the reason for this?
For me, it just happened, the little latch that keeps the bin lid closed broke, under Dyson's warranty policy the whole bin needs to be changed, so the Dyson rep sent me this video so when they mailed me the new bin I know how to change it. Hope that answered your question.
Thank you thank you!!! I was struggling getting the bin back on and totally didn’t know to take off the top part first!

It could be a faulty latch. There is a spring-loaded latch on the bottom by the battery that holds it in place. Make sure that it's not blocked
Thank you SO much
Thx
Does this part need replacing on a regular basis?
No, usually only for aesthetic reasons.
I am curious though, why would you do this if the bin isn't broken? Aesthetics?
