You know what's even more annoying about the scorch shot. I play on highertower x100 and the scorch shot has an extremely large splash range. So if someone's playing with it, the entire enemy team will be set on fire
As someone who's a regular on an x1000 server with a wide open area that snipers cant shoot across (too far), i main scorch Not even pyro, just the scorch
Lets also remember that scorch shot does this little knockback on direct hits (like the loose cannon) that can prevent the target from moving for like a second, making it easier to w+m1 them AND can remove stickies in its blast radius, no need to aim your shotgun pellets, no need to airblast, one click, and the trap is just gone. You should try this loadout on dustbowl, spawncamping there is some kind of drug man

If you do this again, try it with the Detonator. You can hit more angles thanks to the self-det and the self-det aoe also does mini-crits on burning players. The self-det also clears traps when burst over a trap. It’s definitely more spammable if you know what you’re doing.

I know how to counter the Scorch Shot, so it isn't a problem for me, but it's broken as hell. You have blast damage, can hit twice, afterburn, knockback, charge the Phlog, destroy stickybombs, and even jump with the thing. It's so fucking ridiculous.
To be honest, I cant remember one time I was annoyed by the scorch shot ever, I just dont care lol, and I cant think of a situation that the scorch shot is really that frustrating

Scorch shot is an infinite range, no damage fall off weapon that reloads automatically on a class that is supposed to be close-range only. Rockets have damage fall off and a very slow travel speed while stickies require charging to travel long distances and have a long reload time.

bruh, i don t get the pyro salt, pyro may have annoying mecanics like afterburn and airblast,but fire damage isn t as consistent as hitting pyro multiple times with a shotgun/scattergun, also pyro sucks at open places forcing him to pull out his seccondary, if is a shotgun u can still keep distance, but if is a flare u can exploit point blank range with the shotgun/scattergun since pyros don t expect to you just run into then even when using flares or if you re lit on fire if the pyro is using the degreaser u wanna always keep changing ranges if possible to confuse the enemy pyro reactions with the primary or the seccondary the phlog kills extremely quickly any 125 hp class, so always keep distance or use projectile classes since pyro can t airblast with this weapon

Yeah. Used scorch a lot, changed to regular flare gun and got blown away by the damage. So much more satisfying to lend even a 30 dmg with the flare gun instead of hitting consistent 10-15 splash damage with the scorch shot

@@lyell63 Not really. If you know when to det, you can hit more people at once and not rely on map geometry to get multiple people. The det also has a stronger mini-crit. The scorch has that knockback though, which is its only good point.

Personally I've gotten into the phlog myself, but to balance off the whole "fuck you you're now dead" thing I always use the gas passer with it so I always earn my fire damage and not just spam scorcth shot flares at the enemy and win. Also, I suck at this game so I'm getting at very most 3 phlog crit kills per game
The scorch shot could be balanced by lowering fire speed a lot and increasing switch speed, so it is more combo oriented. Keep the double explosion, but if you miss it doesn't explode at all. I think this is okay

Dude, you're allowed to use the phlog as a primary weapon without crits. Why are you just exclusively trying to kill people with the scorch shot when you can charge your fucking phlog meter faster if you just m1'd these people instead of point blank using the scorch shot and self damaging yourself.

@@soupcantpyro detonator makes jumps higher but scorch shot is much better sadly
@@lyell63 Not really. If you know when to det, you can hit more people at once and not rely on map geometry to get multiple people. The det also has a stronger mini-crit. The scorch has that knockback though, which is its only good point.

К твоему вопросу, как ты получил фул заряд флога, после того как он закончился. Всё просто, ты херачил критами после того как они кончились, потому что огонь эт не хитскан, сам понимаешь. Поэтому, имеет смысл просто зажать кнопку в конце заряда и надеятся, что ты этим кого-то убьёшь.
Плюс, по моим наблюдениям, любые множители урона, миникриты, криты и т.д., набивают метр быстрее. И это даже не из-за дамага, просто оно почему то так работает.
И я хз, почему тебе об этом пишу, потому что у тебя явно опыта в игре больше чем 2к часов у меня xD

This video is evidence that pyro is very powerful without requiring skill, especially the scorch shot and phlog.
Also I scrap the scorch shot and the phlog when i unlock them because I feel dirty having them in my backpack.
Phlog pyro is not that hard to kill, unless they are being pocketed by a med. Anyways, killing phlog pyros is an easy way to farm points lol

Everytime I use this loadout, I use The Miami Rooster, *because only a sociopath would use it.*
I use this but with the stock shotgun because I accidentally used my flare for scrap and can’t craft
Personally I've gotten into the phlog myself, but to balance off the whole "fuck you you're now dead" thing I always use the gas passer with it so I always earn my fire damage and not just spam scorcth shot flares at the enemy and win.
Also, I suck at this game so I'm getting at very most 3 phlog crit kills per game
People in pubs only really votekick people who use this cause they don’t know how to counter it.

The scorch shot could be balanced by lowering fire speed a lot and increasing switch speed, so it is more combo oriented. Keep the double explosion, but if you miss it doesn't explode at all. I think this is okay
