I was playing in your team in the first match (upward). And I don't know why but the name "piro" catch my attention. Didn't expect that it was you. Really enjoyed the video btw!
A fellow youtuber, F Bomb Fitzgerald, made a video using the mannmelter and one of things he said stuck with me: the mannmelter gives options - if you need health and don't need to preserve primary ammo, you put out flames with the flamethrower. However, if you need to preserve primary ammo or if you are high on health, you put out flames with the mannmelter. I think for that it is a great secondary and works wonders with the dragon's fury, imo.
Hey Vorobey At 12:45 you aim down to slide your flame particles on the ground to hit the pyro for some reason... NEVER DO THIS. Because of the jungle inferno changes, an unintended effect is that particles that slide off of a surface like a wall or floor do less damage than particles that hit a target directly.
There is an application to this though. Using the aim down method delays the particles, allowing you to combo stock into axtinguisher/flare gun on pyros that run towards you.
@@LordKittenfish ah yes its like spies with lerp, your back can be literally in front. This why i try to recreate my old universal config, so hitboxes were less lagy and you dont get killed behind a wall.
Actually I honestly like this weapon, you're right it is fun. Also this is fun to piss off scorch shot + phlog pyro this makes you a good support class.
2:13 that noise you're referring is likely the noise the weapon plays to let you know that you can fire it again. since it's firing speed is the same as other flare guns minus the reload, the weapon plays a noise whenever it's off cooldown
you and i had the same idea. Just today i played with this wep. And is amazing, when u have 2/3 pyros in the enemy team this wep transforms into a crit machine. I use it with the phlog. (Because is really good with the phlog) But on its own. It's a really good wep.
The Backburner and the Mannmelter strike me as being entirely oppositional. In order to make use of the Mannmelter you need to be by your team mates, but the Backburner requires you be behind enemy lines.
There is 3 type of good players: flashy, consistent and by the mood. Why am I saying this? Because majority of good pyros are flashy, but you are consistent and it is satisfying to watch :)
Manmelter is the buggiest weapon of the game. The sound tick was a bug, and so was the particle effect when you shoot it. Yeah its super bugged... Real shame as its actually super usefull with phlog
@@lionobama1397 Its not tho. It doesnt play half of the time and sometimes the tick is off. Sound used to play when the weapon still worked with load mechanic where the weapon needed a bar to fill to shoot it. Somehow the weapon still has the sound but doesnt play 50% of the time or just plays at random time.
Honestly a lot of TF2 items get a bad rap but this thing is actually kinda good. It has excellent synergy with the Phlog cuz it can sort of still get the extinguish effect of afterburn, and can actually be better than the regular Flare Gun cuz of its stored crits instead of situational crits
it's amazing watching you just farm crits off of people spamming the Scorch Shot also, as the video went on, I realized that this loadout actually works pretty well together Backburner and Back Scratcher are, appropriately to the names, a match made in flank heaven and then the Mannmelter works interestingly here. not only does it cover for the Backburner's massive airblast cost, the free extinguishes free up health packs that you need due to reduced healing from Medics.
I actually quite like this weapon. I don’t get why people consider it a bad weapon. It’s identical to the flare fun, granted you have more than one crit.
I think it's due to the reliance on the enemy, you have to be hanging around your team and the enemy needs to have a pyro to set them on fire. The flare guns on the other hand, are in your control, you can choose when to set people on fire.
It doesnt play every time. Its back from when it had to recharge to shoot. This weapon is actually super good, but absolutely broken with like 3 bugs with it. That sound is a bug, but it also has a bug where it doesnt sometimes play the particle effect when you help teammates, but then suddenly it even plays the effect when you shoot it?? Such a shame because the weapon works super well with phlog but the bugs, especially the particle one makes it so annoying to use.
No, the Manmelter isn't good. You need to have a pyro on the other team to even use it, and hope you come across burning players before they find a health kit, medic, dispenser, use a jar, etc. Which also means you have to swap from your primary to your secondary just to extinguish them. Only THEN is it *equal* to the flare gun. Why extinguish enemies for flare gun crits when you can just crit someone with the actual flare gun for free? If someone is too far away to light them on fire with your primary, odds are 90 damage won't kill them, even if you hit. And if you don't have crits? You're just running around with a gimped Flare Gun.
Also, the "click" noise is there to indicate the "reload" ended. Although it is barely hearable, and I personally would much prefer an animation of some sort About the particles, they are broken, sometimes the "animation" for extinguishing people plays when shooting for whatever reason [insert Source Spaghetti Monser meme here]
