Yeah, but they've changed from Calculating to their last couple of albums...so it's better to start from the beginning and going forward to understand their evolution.
I would never recommend Calculating Infinity as a starting point to a non-fan since it's their least accessible album. Calculating Infinity is also their worst album simply for the fact that Greg Puciato isn't in it. Option Paralysis is arguably their best album and THE Dillinger sound.
One of Us Is the Killer is the best Dillinger album to start with, Prancer is one of their biggest songs, it’s a great starting point that accurately portrays what’s so unique and captivating about their sound
Dillinger Escape Plan - Calculating Infinity is a masterpiece of an album. I was obsessed with it when it first came out, 20 years ago, and it's still one of my favorite albums of all time.
I haven't seen anyone recommend One of Us is the Killer yet. IMO it's perfectly balanced between melodic and chaotic. The title track is still in my top 10 most groovy songs.

A few guitar players are really tough to emulate due to the amount of details and groove they put in their stuff. Dimebag is one of them, another one is Marty Friedman.
Tony Iommi was always a hard one for me to get down. Dude has some of the most improvisey solos out there. He's def not one of my favs but his solos always felt like he was like whatever.
Dillinger put on an incredible live show. Saw them 3 times, always entertaining, chaotic and an incredible display of talent. All the albums are good, but when Greg joined the band on Miss machine it went in a creative new direction and got really good. Watch their final show on TH-cam. It’s a great summary of what they did.
Hi Ola. Thanks for the great FAQs over the years. One idea is that after the question is shown in full-screen, also have it shown while you're answering it (maybe much smaller and in the corner). Dude I was never a fan of Solid State but I played my Randall RH200 because my 6505 MH’s tubes went out and I was absolutely blown away by how brutal it sounded! We play in Drop G# and it responded so well to that tuning

"Calculating Infinity" is a great Dillinger Escape Plan Album. The song "Sugar Coated Sour" is great and "43% Burnt" is a classic. I also love the album "Miss Machine" and the song "We are the Storm" (My favorite DEP song). I got to see them in Tokyo on their last tour and it was insane! Last month I purchased a 1986 Jackson SL1 with a Kahler tremolo and being an owner of many Floyd Rose installed guitars I was blown away by the feel of the Kahler and how it didn't damage the density of the tone of the guitar. I'd be so sold for a Type G with a Kahler. Is it possible for us to receive Solar guitars with Kahlers in any time soon?

Drunk Canadians, too! Well, drunk today, but most nights I'm just awake (I'm drunk because my dog died, and I loved her). I've had insomnia since I was a kid. Rather than fight it and take drugs to sleep, I make art, practice bass or guitar, watch vids. Seeing your vids pop up at 2am (or later) for me standard fare my typical of waking moments. Hi Ola, I think the fact that you usually upload at a off peak time is a good thing. A lot of times your latest upload will be the most current upload of my TH-cam subscriptions for like 6 hours in a row. I check TH-cam and there’s Ola yet again, #1 on my feed. If you uploaded at a more high traffic time, your videos would get lost amongst all the other uploads. Glad you like to think outside the box 📦❤️
Hey man massive Dillinger fan. Their heaviest records are Miss Machine and Calculating Infinity. Infinity has a different vocalist than the rest of the records. Option Paralysis is my person favorite it has a mix of some of their heaviest most intricate songs with more melodic rests in between. They are one of the most talented, hard working metal bands with the best shows I've ever seen. Don't skip over them they are definitely worth it, it took me several listens to truly get it and I've never turned back. The rest of the records are all amazing, this should just be a starting point.
For The Dillinger Escape Plan, my favourite album is 'Miss Machine', it was my introduction to them, Panasonic Youth is such a killer song, album opener, and it just has the best vibe from start to finish, in my opinion
Tja Ola! Love your videos, and thought I'd share a few Dillinger songs that I like. First is called "Clip the apex... Accept instruction." from the album 'Calculating Infinity'. Next is "When good dogs do bad things." from 'Irony is a Dead Scene' featuring Mike Patton when Dillinger was between singers. Finally a something with a little less edge, more of a straight forward rocker is "Highway Robbery" from 'Miss Machine". I believe in multiple guitars! I don’t have as many as pro musicians, I have 10 guitars that I play regularly. I have several of the 10 in different tunings and string gages. Back when I was 14 or 15 and had only one guitar I hated that I had to stick to one tuning because if I wanted to play songs in say Eb it took too much time to adjust everything.
Milk Lizard got me into Dillinger Escape Plan. The Outro is pretty emotional. A good friend died in a car crash at the time where this was on top. "We never even noticed that There always was a reason That we were never meant to be left alone This feels like neverending" that had me choked...
I know exactly what you mean about the Dimebag solo's, always found that bit tricky in Cemetary Gates, even in the Cowboys from Hell solo he does that crazy stretch with the slide up with the pinky, very awkward to nail his solos and to do them confidently each time you play them.
Hello Ola. Please answer this in the next FAQ. Being the boss a guitar company, I think you're the right person to ask this question. How do I store guitars for say 2-3 months (or maybe even more) when I'm away from home? Do I loosen the strings or do I keep them tuned up? What kind of treatments should I give the guitar so that the wood, finish, strings & its metal hardware are still in good condition when I come back? Same methods apply to both electric and acoustic guitars?

Im from Iran. a very technical question: I use amp sim and use "30 mili-second white noise" in a convolution reverb loader instead of cab IR, then at the end of the signal chain I use "EQ matching" to use EQ of a pre-recorded Guitar Cab from an audio file. [the final tone that I get is very smooth, blured and flat and theres no any harshness or fizzy fuzzy and no muddiness" I know it's really weird but I just wanna know its correct or a big mistake? correct or incorrect? thats the question. thank you ola, have Good time. Great song but to me not the best overall album. Ire Works is very accessible to people who never heard DEP. I love them and that's my two cents.

Hi Ola, I think the fact that you usually upload at a off peak time is a good thing. A lot of times your latest upload will be the most current upload of my TH-cam subscriptions for like 6 hours in a row. I check TH-cam and there’s Ola yet again, #1 on my feed. If you uploaded at a more high traffic time, your videos would get lost amongst all the other uploads. Glad you like to think outside the box 📦❤️

Hey man massive Dillinger fan. Their heaviest records are Miss Machine and Calculating Infinity. Infinity has a different vocalist than the rest of the records. Option Paralysis is my person favorite it has a mix of some of their heaviest most intricate songs with more melodic rests in between. They are one of the most talented, hard working metal bands with the best shows I've ever seen. Don't skip over them they are definitely worth it, it took me several listens to truly get it and I've never turned back. The rest of the records are all amazing, this should just be a starting point.
For The Dillinger Escape Plan, my favourite album is 'Miss Machine', it was my introduction to them, Panasonic Youth is such a killer song, album opener, and it just has the best vibe from start to finish, in my opinion

Love your videos, and thought I'd share a few Dillinger songs that I like.
First is called "Clip the apex... Accept instruction." from the album 'Calculating Infinity'. Next is "When good dogs do bad things." from 'Irony is a Dead Scene' featuring Mike Patton when Dillinger was between singers. Finally a something with a little less edge, more of a straight forward rocker is "Highway Robbery" from 'Miss Machine".

I believe in multiple guitars! I don’t have as many as pro musicians, I have 10 guitars that I play regularly. I have several of the 10 in different tunings and string gages. Back when I was 14 or 15 and had only one guitar I hated that I had to stick to one tuning because if I wanted to play songs in say Eb it took too much time to adjust everything.

Milk Lizard got me into Dillinger Escape Plan. The Outro is pretty emotional. A good friend died in a car crash at the time where this was on top.

The giveaway between a modeler and a plug-in between a real amp is dialing back the volume on the guitar and how it cleans up

I know exactly what you mean about the Dimebag solo's, always found that bit tricky in Cemetary Gates, even in the Cowboys from Hell solo he does that crazy stretch with the slide up with the pinky, very awkward to nail his solos and to do them confidently each time you play them.
Hello Ola. Please answer this in the next FAQ.
Being the boss a guitar company, I think you're the right person to ask this question. How do I store guitars for say 2-3 months (or maybe even more) when I'm away from home? Do I loosen the strings or do I keep them tuned up? What kind of treatments should I give the guitar so that the wood, finish, strings & its metal hardware are still in good condition when I come back? Same methods apply to both electric and acoustic guitars?

a very technical question:
I use amp sim and use "30 mili-second white noise" in a convolution reverb loader instead of cab IR, then at the end of the signal chain I use "EQ matching" to use EQ of a pre-recorded Guitar Cab from an audio file. [the final tone that I get is very smooth, blured and flat and theres no any harshness or fizzy fuzzy and no muddiness" I know it's really weird but I just wanna know its correct or a big mistake? correct or incorrect? thats the question. thank you ola, have Good time.

There is no such thing as having to many guitars. If you think that way, your not a guitar player, your a singer. Great vid Ola.
Dillinger was incredible live... saw them two or three times. Anything from Miss Machine to One of us is the Killer were all great albums.

Hi Ola! If you can not use your attic. Why don't you build it outside in the empty lot? Shipping containers are cheap and look amazing after finishing them. Also living in Sweden can be an issue for that in winter...
