The best burger is the typical plain aussie burger that not many do correctly anymore. Nice beef patty, shredded iceberg lettuce, tomatoe, caramelized onions, bbq sauce and beetroot on a regular sesame seed hamburger bun. MUST have beetroot and MUST be on the regular sesame seed hamburger bun, not these wimpy glazed pillow soft and sweet milk type buns. Any place that makes that burger correctly, is a winner IMO. I grew up on that burger and nowadays all I see is a bastardized version of it with no beetroot and some places chuck that shitty american plastic cheese on it.

bro i jus had chebos roselands, pretty average.. patties lack flavour and fat. Bar luca used to have the best burger but quality dropped. Same with holy heffa , they had the best truffle burger/ burgers in sydney, place changed owners 3 or 4 yrs ago quality changed. The best burgers now are at ume burger barangaroo, and mary's newtown for best smash burger.
Interesting i wonder if marrickville has better quality i went there not roselands maybe the effect of opening more stores and quality dropping might be an issue for chebbos Robs and Jinny for me are solid but ill suss out the other two in part 3 because i love me a good smashburger

It's up to you it's hard to find a unique HSP but maybe something simple is always better, but that's why I love about your episodes you show all the tallys on all the stores and being generic it's hard to get a top score so you showing the tally is a great idea.

I never buy burgers any more. The value isn't there. I make mine at home on the bbq and either make a classic "The lot" burger (no pineapple) or a double 1/4 Lber clone with 2 x150g patties. Sometimes that will het some bacon and egg and if so, I'll swap the dill pickles out for fried onions. Do me a favour? Think of a burger with the lot. Close your eyes. Picture it. Are the cheese and egg stained with beetroot? cheers
