Hashem is not a special name. The whole point of saying hashem is not saying any name of God. It just means ‘the name’. The ha as a prefix to a word means ‘the’ and shem is name. God doesn’t have a name the way your mother gave you one. The Torah uses many names for God and they are describing different attributes of God. For example his mercy and compassion and another one shows him being the God of justice for example. To find a word describing all of God keep in mind that all of God is not something our finite minds can comprehend. The word would describe that God is above and beyond the past, present and. Future. That is the Tetragrammaton. We have a concise version of the Tetragrammaton too. But remember Christian’s get it wrong when Torah says to proclaim the name of God it doesn’t mean find out the right name and say it loud at all.

Had a dream the other night in which God had returned too PlanET Earth. God was walking around perplexed as he didn't remember leaving Earth in such disarray. Hashem is not a special name. The whole point of saying hashem is not saying any name of God. It just means ‘the name’. The ha as a prefix to a word means ‘the’ and shem is name.
God doesn’t have a name the way your mother gave you one. The Torah uses many names for God and they are describing different attributes of God. For example his mercy and compassion and another one shows him being the God of justice for example. To find a word describing all of God keep in mind that all of God is not something our finite minds can comprehend. The word would describe that God is above and beyond the past, present and. Future. That is the Tetragrammaton. We have a concise version of the Tetragrammaton too. But remember Christian’s get it wrong when Torah says to proclaim the name of God it doesn’t mean find out the right name and say it loud at all.

Again the holy names for God are just proper terms in the holy language to describe God. Saying lord or God is not describing God at all. He has no mother who named him like you do. Remember when you see the names in the Torah that God wrote that book. And those terms describe God in different ways. We just have customs to be careful not to use any of those holy names in vain. Often going beyond the actual requirement. Like when you see people write G-d. we know what Christian’s think about it and we don’t care. They read our tanach wrong to come to those conclusions
