NC 750 X DCT IN THE BORDERS OF SCOTLAND

- Just some clips of my trip to the Scottish Borders. In it you find fantastic scenery. I have used some clips before and some I haven't. I have left the scenic clips alone I have not cut them at all. Anyway if you can give me some feedback as to what you would like me to do in future video's that would be great. Many thanks Baz.

I sold my R1100RT 11 years ago, it was getting too big and heavy for me to move in and out of the garage and I hadn’t ridden since. Now, at 70, my old riding buddy wants to ride from Florida to Texas to see a friend then up to Montana to visit his son. I wasn’t sure now was the time for such a tour. My wife talked me into it saying you better do these things now because soon you will no longer be able to. She’s right. I bought a 23 NC750X DCT in March, been riding it and gearing up for the tour next spring. Love the bike! Love riding again and have been hitting the gym. It’s already changed my life in a positive way. Thanks for your videos.
Your more than welcome Paul. Actually I can let you into a little secret. I only started the channel because I didn't think I was going to make it after my cancer diagnosis. My original intention was to make the videos for my great grandchildren. Just so they could see what a silly old fool I was 😂 but it's snowballed from there on. My health hasn't been great if late hence I didn't make many videos recently. I'm hoping to crank some more out, God willing. Great to hear from you Paul. All the very best to you and your family. On a separate note, my wife and I love Scotland. We’ve been there 4 times in the last 6 years. Such a beautiful country. Very familiar with all the counties of the Borders.
It's my favourite place on planet earth Paul. I virtually grew up there. My father was from a place called Galashiels. It's about 40 miles south of Edinburgh. I do have a lot of relatives who live in the borders my heart and soul are up there Paul. In fact most of my relatives are buried in a local cemetery in Galashiels so I can trace my ancestry right back. I recently had to take mom's and dad ashes up there to a special place we all use to go. Yes Paul, it's in my DNA the borders are. Great to hear from you mate. I really enjoyed your comments. the message at the 4:09 mark made me a little sad. I literally returned from a nice evening ride around the northern mountains of Seoul Korea on my scrambler and watching your video to wind down for bed. I thought how much riding has peppered my life with moments of joy and clarity of mind (especially during times of turbulence.) and I thought about how one day maybe I may not have this gift to ride anymore. I plan to eventually get an NC750 DCT as a forever bike and maybe I too will document my rides for posterity. cheers to you on the other side of the world and pray to the gods that we have the maximum years of health and riding highs
Hi there linuskim, really great to hear from you buddy. I love riding my bike, I have been riding since I was 17! A long to ago now. I get just as much pleasure riding slow in the mountains and lakes as I do going fast. This bike is my final bike but I plan to upgrade it in the future, like suspension and so forth, watch this space! I have been riding all over Europe and seen a lot of countries. I have also met thousands of people. I feel very privileged to have seen so much. Our world is absolutely stunning. If only people would really look at it. My late mother used to say to me, Barry the best things in life are free and it's true. Another saying my mother used to say to me and it's true is, she said, you should never worry about the things you cannot change. She was a wise woman my mother was, that's why I loved her so much. Hi Nick, yes I was bought up in the borders ( Galashiels) I spent most of my early years up there. I feel like I'm coming home whenever I go up, especially now that I've taken both my parents ashes up there to be together forever where we as a family were the happiest.👍

Thanks Danny hope your well and your family are ok mate👍 The clips I had on my cam were doing nothing so I just put them up for people to enjoy the views. I will be doing more stuff in the future. I've got my holiday to Germany coming up in November. I'm going on one of those river cruises down the Rhine. After that I will be going to some of my favourite places and some new ones. I haven't been very well, but I'm ok now. I'm practicing on my saxaphone most days now, and love it. I don't know if you know this Danny I'm living with Cancer but I'm clear at the moment, so I just do what I can and enjoy living. I put the videos up just for my relatives really at first, so if anything happens to me they can look at the videos and take some kind of comfort from them. When other people liked them I was amazed! So because of that I will carry on. Thank you so much for responding, Danny 👍 it truly makes my day. I do have some bad comments but I just get rid of them! because if you make videos like me, and thousands of other people do, your bound to have the odd comments that are bad. One of my favourite bikes the NC, the rear suspension is awful, but apart from that it’s great.
I’ve had warp speed Italian bikes, several litre bikes, this is the smallest and the best, you’ve got to ride them to get it.
Couldn't agree with you more Colin. I'm the same as you. I've had a ton of bikes, been all around Europe on Litre bikes and tourers. It's one of the best bikes I've owned. I am by the way, going for better front and rear springs. When I get back from my hols I will start to look for them. It's effortless riding if your going 70 mph or just plodding along at 30. I'm loving it. Thanks for the reply Colin very much appreciated. Next might be going back to France and lots of places over here. Take care buddy👍

No not yet Danny but when I get back off my holidays. I'm going to try another pad that I have. If that does not work I'll have a gel insert put into it.👍
