- It is easy to get Element when being on Genesis 2, but what about Lost Island? The Map is meant to be low on Tek but of cause, players don't want to miss out on the Tek Engrams they previously learned. How to craft them tho? This video explains it.

Clear and to the point, and good arguments for which methods. If there is anything i would have liked to see, it could have been a comparison in the ele gained from farming parasaur and the element gained from farming gamma boss. There are some interesting things to look at there for resources spent on boss compared to resources spent on raising parasaurs. But, not needed for a video like this. Thank you.

I guess the only other option for solo players in pvp is to kill wild tek dinos. The map has a ton of tek stegos, while not very quick it can get you 100 ele in around 500 tek stegos on small tribes. It takes a while, but it's pretty much the only way to tek for solo players on contested pvp maps. Most efficient way is to farm desert drops for a good chainsaw, while breeding a high lvl lightning wyvern and then when the wyvern is done you can either make a pen and fill it with tek dinos to kill or kill them one by one out in the wild. Since wyverns can pick up tek stegos it should be reasonably fast to get quite a few in one place to kill for ele dust. It does take a few days of farming though, hope your base can last that long :)

Fighting the boss sucks as a solo player unless you cheese it by keeping it near the cave. I was going to move my main base from Rag to Lost Island, but the lack of Element and an easy way to farm the boss is definitely a downer.

This is how I do it I traded for 4 elemental dust gachas awhile ago. So I am sitting on almost 8 vaults of the stuff
I breed tek raptors instead, as babies I line up around 60 in a 2x2 area once mature I use the s+ tool set to kill, they all lay nice on top of each other, gathering is so much faster as the chainsaw harvests multiple raptors at once, I tried it with paras once but with so many of them occupying the same area they bounced around so much it took forever, some I never managed to reach as they glitched out
Had the same idea since you can fit more of those in the same space. Just wondered how it would work out on PvE official, you ever tried that?
I have like 500 parasaurs that breed a t the same time and harvest them with a giga cuz its so so laggy and i get 22 element per breed idk the multiplier
I bread Tek Rex on official PVE and from a batch of 500 babies I think I got 16,000 dust, and 5~6k oil and electronics and scrap metal, and I bread them 3 times a week. when I left official, I think I had 5.4 million dust and 20k element from killing baby Tek rex. when I started to play, I would have never thought it was that good, and I used a fire wyvern because it was pve and I was killing them in bulk. How'd you kill them in PVE? I can't hurt dinos even after I unclaim them
@@zlightning No I was breeding for mutations, and the dino cap on official is 500 and I think I had 416 females level 1 Tek Rex, so I could only claim so many at a time and I used a fire wyvern to kill the ones that did not have the mutation I was looking for and harvested with the wyvern. I did have a friend help from time to time so he could claim cause he did not have a base on my server and then we could do bigger batchers. I think my hatchery was 20x20 with 1600 ac under it.
@@Serralas You need to have friendly fire activated and don't unclaim them but keep them in your tribe
What about an element dust gacha's ? One should produce like 100-140 element a day (140-200% crafting skill)
There are no Gachas on Lost Island

I HAVE TRIED THIS ON AN UNOFFICIAL 25x WITH 12 TEK PARASAURS ON BREED THAT FALL INTO A CAGE WITH A THERI WITH 1.5K MELEE IT DOSENT WORK VERY WELL.
check tek raptors, they seem to be more efficient with growth time and elements amount.
I checked them and they were a little less effective than parasaurs. But not by much

What is a "cap" chainsaw?
I have a chainsaw, but I've never heard of any item quality referred to as a "cap".

Gacha Towers works a lot better then Tek Animal Farming. But I guess if you are only playing Lost Island without any transfers you cant get Gachas.
How do i harvest/kill my down dinos?
You can enable friendly fire within your tribe.
For some reason every Tek farm I've tried I can't kill any babies, whether I tame or not?
Anyone know why or what to fix?

I've been doing the baby tek parasaurs thing
I use a Rex with max mele to kill tek parasaurs. I make a para farm with them on the roof so the eggs drop down and hatch. I place air conditioners around the area so all eggs will hatch. I have been doing this since they introduced Tek Dinos. Is a chainsaw better than using a rex with High damage to kill the para's?

How many mutations/ what melee % is good for the mantis?
Usually 100 points-ish is where you don't get much more back from most dinos. That would be around 420%

I didn't get element from killing the boss so i was very confused how to get element

I did like the video however i own a mutated mantis with nearly 1.4k melee and almost a cap pick axe and farm 6-13 Element Dust max from a Parasaur lol, however i get around 20-23ish with a primitive chainsaw, luckily i didn't mutate the mantis myself because i bought it but it's not worth it at all, i still think chainsaw is better and as far as i know my ascendant chainsaw gathers the same or even worse amounts in some cases, i don't think damage matters tbh

is it best to breed a high level Para or a low level Para. Also I assume the mutated mantis is all in Melee?
I haven't seen a difference in different levels. And yes. Melee only
I have run into many people saying "Remember to level the karkinos in health to get more poly". And from my experience, it gives absolutely nothing to do this. I would assume this translates into this situation as well. Unless the dino has a specific mechanic for it(Ovis), i dont think resources are affected by leveling stats.

When you say mutated Mantis what kind of mutations would be best for this type of gathering ?
Only melee.
chain saw damage isnt a factor you get the same many people tell me this and have yet to test it because I own a moschops
In my tests the ascended chainsaw gave about triple the resources. You may confuse it with the mining drill?
What is a CAP chainsaw? And how damaged does it have to be?
Edit: can you use an unmutated mantis with a prim pick? I'm an element noob. When my friends and I played in the past we never really got to that point. We've never even beat a boss
A capped chainsaw is 298% dmg. It's the max you can get on official. On unofficial the cap is higher.
You can use an unmutated mantis with a prim pick, but the result will be fairly bad.
I tried farming tek Dino in 2.5 unofficial servers but it was not worth it. Now I do gamma monkey like 2 times coz it's safe and I don't loss any dinos

Is an engram you learn on extinction. you can simply craft it in your inventory
@@TiiaAurora many people said its not only in extinction, I can learn it in any map. But the problem is the Element engram is locked and black colored in my inventory :( I guess I’m gonna cheat to unlock all the engrams
@@adeysh6354 some engrams are locked. But not sure to which maps. That engram is definitely an extinction thing tho.
tek parasaur are greatest? for me i am using tek stego with good chainsaw
At least when it comes to element dust per growth minutes.
Stego was 0.011
Parasaur was 0.019 (almost double)
So since Parasaurs grow faster you can farm more of them in the same time and therefor will have more dust in the end.

@@arkar6710 Rexes and Quetzals gave the same amount. But Rexes need almost 4 days to grow and quetzals almost 6.

farm element from lootdrops on extinction and transfer element dust back to lost island and make element there
Most server transfers are still closed.
Bruh, item and dino transfers are still closed and will be for around 1½ months

Craft 100 enforcers and harvest with caped chainsaw
There are no enforcers on Lost Island
@@TiiaAurora well on unofficial server u get all engrams so u can craft them and farm them i do that and it is ez element i got like 10k in 2 days of farming

You can’t get ele dust on there so impossible to craft loads
I just wanted to add that allowing the babies to grow up will only work on a PVP or PVE with friendly fire server since you can't damage your own tames once claimed on PVE unless you un-claim them and then at best it will take an age to do this and at worst you end up with a load of angry rexes running round your base.
some mods do have tools with a kill setting, I cant damage my own tames but I can shoot them with the s+ tool set to kill

This video just notes how every ARK player has been doing it since before the Abberation and Extinction mapts came out, which are the ones that first changed how folks gather element. Nothing new here to me due to that.

To be honest. Doing bosses never had much to do with being skilled and knowledgeable. Played official for long enough to see people buying seats for bosses. And this has been going on for many years.
@@TiiaAurora yeah but that's not what I'm talking about buying seats may get you engrams but usually 0 element so yeah, I'm talking skill from going to beach bob to someone with boss Rex's they either bought eggs from/mutate themselves is a lot more skill of what I was talking about when it comes to buff farming ele. Along with having to farm artifacts and raise or tame other ocean creatures. Like last week on official scorched me n a buddy farmed like 1700 ele off of alpha manticore. Like that's what I mean long story short I miss when getting tek it wasn't p2w buy this dlcs and get drops with tek gens and go into an asteroid belt and farm over 1k ele lmao. Any brain dead person that's patient can go farm that.
