yeh i mainly got mine from Friday Night Videos, ABC Rocks and syndicated shows like Top 40 Videos (still love them theme.) We didn't get MTV until 1987. But I think I even said in the description of this video I was so bummed when they replaced Rick with Frazer on this show....
@@STEVEHEROLD I do not even remember Rick. But Frazer made me laugh with all his weird little sayings. I quoted him often in real life situations! It was cool the way Frazer could get away with talking about partying without using any of the (at that time taboo) references to drugs and alcohol.
@@MontagTheMagician yeah I know Frazer had a big following in the Los Angeles market which is why I'm guessing they brought him to host. Rick hosted the show for the first season. He went on to be in Scary Movie and The Burbs but never really took off. He passed away far too young not long ago.
Great show. I love my 5 episodes that I put on You Tube. Is this all you have? This 2 minute clip? I would love to see all of them! Thanks for uploading! Let me know if you have more!
Doesnt ANYBODY have episodes with Rick??? :( I used to have almost every episode on VHS but lost them in a Storage unit I could no longer pay for :'(. Rick Ducommun, rest in peace :(.
***** i've been looking forever for episodes with Rick. Haven't come across any. ALl I had left on my old VHS was this episode. I was bummed when they made the host switch. I never liked Frazer much. Changed the vibe of the show from the underground type thing to this more polished looking show. If you ever do come across any eps please lemme know.
Thanks! Those of us too poor to afford cable back in the day got our videos from Nightflight or Frazer Smith! SHAVE AN ARDVAARK!

I have been looking for the intro to R N A for years....
Anybody have any of his standup please post them. This guy's standup is incredible.
Love this!
my favorite bit was when he used that sit and spin as a breakdancing machine
frazer was on kroq for a while. night tracks too
Just Woke up from a Coma in 1991 - and was the morning guy "before" Mark & Brian on LA's 95.5 KLOS . . .
"Too hip, gotta' go" was his motto :p.

I wonder if fans are as divided over Rick vs Frazer. For me, Rick is the Steve Burns and Frazer is the dummy who replaced Steve.
I humbly disagree, I never found Rick the least bit funny,

@@STEVEHEROLD Frazer Smith sucked.
I'm sure he was just fine in other roles, but for Rock N America he was a poor fit.
