Great video. Shows the reasoning for the price differential (although not cheap), compared to the "street" cars. This is a totally different car underneath, and the stellar engineering and it's purpose reflects that.

There isn’t a car out today that can be raced , daily driven, run low tens at 139-140, look so bad ass and handle and brake like a dream while being reliable a
With a top notch interior all in one package with a warranty. This is the best over all car out right now.

Guys, that sticker “Made in China” sounds bad, doesn’t it? But the gt2rs have had problem with production of certain parts to mass produce. As an example this bit of carbon maybe was a part they couldn’t produce in Europe. Then they had to make it China to deliver the cars in time. That doesn’t say anything of the quality, it surely is as good as a carbon bit made in Europe. I think Porsche have very high standards especially if they have to make a part in China.

by making even base models overcomplex they provide long term income for their dealerships. it's similar to what we germans call "schedulded wear" for example expensive clothing brands put cheap ink on their t-shirts to force you to buy a new shirt every couple of years while a 1,50$ shirt full of writing and ink I bought in asia is still in good shape after 10 years. even though the tech on this car is faszinating I couldn't care less because the mid engined corvette is probably going to be faster at 1/3 of the price and with 1/4 of the tech.

A classic example of an powertrain that should have been retired a couple of decades ago. With an enormous amount of engineering effort and an amazing attention to detail, Porsche have made this design work very well. Imagine what they could have done with a more conventional powertrain layout and the corresponding reduction in manufacturing costs. Their cars would be considerably more affordable and easier to maintain. Sometimes logic is not part of the equation.

To all the automotive experts commenting on this video: good job spotting the "Made in China" sticker on that bracket, Porsche is so busted now lol. You seriously think all those engineers in Germany are fool?
You guys know nothing about how cars are made and what makes them successful on the track and on the streets.
Talking about carbon fiber parts: China and Taiwan are the absolute leaders in composite manufacturing, like it or not, ant they make most of the bits for all the cars you admire. Prestigious manufacturers like Porsche have on site quality control on the production, or even they have their own plant in China.
