Thank you for this informative, helpful video. I also thought that you just put it in the case near the violin. And, should you play the violin while it is still inside the violin?
Thank you for this! I heat with wood (which is a naturally dryer heat than oil or electric) and I am wondering if I should store my violin in the case with a dampit in it? Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks
My advice is don't push it all the way in! The cap fell off mine when I was pulling it out, it took me about an hour to remove the Dampit from the violin. Leave about an inch sticking out!
Thanks, I thought that you put it in the case, not the violin. Works great!.
I also thought this, too.
Thanks so much, you helped me understand what to do! :)

Ok, great! Thanks. Just wanted to make sure I was doing it right.

It should be fine to play the dampit in your violin! Just remove it if it causes any buzzing.
Thanks!!
Thanks

Thank you!! I was so confused on how to use this thing because it doesn’t come with good instructions.

Should you soak it with distilled water or tap water?
It doesn't matter.
I don't know if it really matters....but I was told to use only distilled water....so, that's what I do for my mandolin.
Will also use distilled water
