These MB sprinter diesels are piles of junk. Totally unreliable. The issue is the DEF system and NOX sensors. They fail and the vans turn into paper weights sitting in your drive way. You can’t even leave them idling for more than 30 mins without screwing things up. STAY AWAY FROM THESE HUNKS OF JUNK. So sad that the EPA ruined these like this.
Sounds like you've had a bad experience with one that sucks! Out of the 600 that we've sold 99% of them haven't had any major issues. This third gen emission system starting in 2019 model year has been almost flawless so far. The older generations should have been rectified with the class action lawsuit and there are plenty of ways to delete them if you really want it to. They've been a great platform for adventures for us personally and our customers 🤙 Appreciate your feedback though! The Transit platform with the EcoBoost might be the way to go for people like yourself. That motor is pretty awesome from my little experience with it.
