Good video and review, thanks! I am seriously considering the Ergo 312, especially since I'm located in Sweden. I have been looking at SecretLabs chairs and such but I have a feeling that this chair will suit my just fine, now that my run down Kinnarps 6000 is losing it's comfort after 10+ years :)
Thank you 🙏🏼 I can’t speak to the quality of SecretLab chairs, as I haven’t tried one yet, but from what I hear, they’re pretty good. But given that the Ergo 312 is about half the price, and has served me well for months, I think it would work just fine for you as well! 👍🏼 Just beware of the height issue: I’ve seen some people online say it’s not suited for people who are really tall (190+ cm). I say this because you’re Swedish, and you guys are annoyingly tall, so it might be relevant to you 😅
@AlexTalksTechOnTH-cam I don't know I got it off some Chinese site for cheap, but it's really good, it's made of mainly metal with hard plastic trim and a leather cushion and net back
Ah yes, never underestimate the kind of deals you can get off of random Chinese sites! I’m actually thinking about doing a tech haul from Temu, to see if the stuff they have might be worth it!
Thank you, Michael 🙏🏼 I got it from a site called www.dpj-workspace.com, but they only sell it in Nothern and Western Europe. I’ve contacted the manufacturer to hear if it’s available for purchase in other territories too!
To be honest, I would’ve liked the armrest to be just a little bit softer, but it’s not bad. It’s like a medium hard plastic, but it does bend when you put your weight on it for a while. So it’s pretty good, but it would’ve been perfect with some cushioning on it. As far as where to buy it, I just Googled “Ergo 312” and found a few places that sells it locally, but it might be harder to find outside of Scandinavia. Maybe I can contact the manufacturer and ask them about it. Where do you live? 😊
Why did you choose this chair over the Colamy Atlas? Seems for the same price this chair is missing lots a features such as, 1. Plastic base/legs instead of metal 2. Non-adjustable headrest 3. Ineffective lumbar support 4. Plastic arm rests I ordered Colamy Atlas, waiting for it to come, but I think the colamy would be a better choice for you, warranty is decent, 3 years.
he prob tried to be different since a lot of ppl knows about Colamy already. or this is a sponsored post. I also order Colamy last week but it still hasn't shipped lmao.
@theharleyma No sponsorships here, I’m afraid 😅 It was just the best chair (seemingly) I could find in my region at that price. I did spend a few weeks researching my options before landing on that one! I wanted to be sure since I was spending my own money on it! @suntnavarro Truth is, I actually did consider the Colamy Atlas for a variety of reasons, since it seemed really good at that price point, but ultimately, I couldn’t find any retailers that shipped it to my location. I was also a little skeptical of some of the (sponsored!) reviews I saw of it, but I’d certainly be interested to try it out for myself. Let me know how you like it once it does show up, I’d love to hear it! (Same for you, @theharleyma)
The mesh is pretty soft, and pretty comfortable to lean back on. The chair is actually pretty comfortable overall, but I do wish it had better lumbar support (the one it has works fine, but it just feels less sturdy and pronounced than I would like). I also would’ve liked for the reclining function to have adjustable tension, but for this price range, that’s not a thing you see often.
From what I hear, the Colamy Atlas absolutely is a top of the line chair in this price range! 👍🏼 I’d be interested to hear what you think of it once you get it! I’m pretty sure all Amazon purchases like that come with at least a 1 year warranty, but it could be higher for all I know!

10 year warranty is crazy, My chair doesn't come with a warranty but it has a lot of the same features as yours and is quite comfy at only £175
Yeah, the 10 year warranty really can’t be beat in this price class. What chair do you have, bro?

whats the difference between ergo 312 and 317
Great review Alex. Where did you buy this chair from?
Thank you, Michael 🙏🏼 I got it from a site called www.dpj-workspace.com, but they only sell it in Nothern and Western Europe. I’ve contacted the manufacturer to hear if it’s available for purchase in other territories too!
That is exactly what I was looking for !
I have only two questions:
How hard the armrest or it soft a little ?
And where can I buy ? 😊
To be honest, I would’ve liked the armrest to be just a little bit softer, but it’s not bad. It’s like a medium hard plastic, but it does bend when you put your weight on it for a while. So it’s pretty good, but it would’ve been perfect with some cushioning on it.

can i lock the tilting with a setting or with my weight?
You have to lean back into the tilt you want and then twist the handle to lock it in. But it works really well.

how are you enjoying the colamy? i bought it but it will only ship in late nov lol... so i can still cancel
How comfortable is it? Anything that makes it less comfortable than desired?
Is the mesh soft or coarse?

@@AlexTalksTechOnTH-cam would you say the seat cushioning has softened up a bit from when you first bought the chair?
Well shit I just bought the colamy atlas. Heard it’s a very good chair. Not sure of the warranty since I purchased it from Amazon
