I was raised in the 80s and I remember when there was Hip-Hop love songs about Black Women. And the songs were not explicit nor sexualized. They were. about loving her, caring for her, protecting her, providing for her. With the potential of marriage and raising a family. Then Hip-Hop took that love and changed it to sex. Remember "All I wanna do is zooma, zoom, zoom zoom in the poom poom." We became a sexualized fixture in Hip-Hop. Shaking butts and breasts. Half-naked and willing to please. The price Black Women paid for that imaging is astronomical. Something should have been said back then. And Dr. Umar is correct. These rappers do not come to the defense of Black Women. It's a reason why they don't, though. Doing that would force them to take a look inward and that reflection would warrant a total demolishing and then reconstruction of their identity as a rapper. And for most that would result in a huge undertaking.

I said to them what are y'all doing?! Putting on a show for these men? It's so many Black folks at this market selling the same music! Why are y'all buying our music from Hispanics? These Black folks called me a hater, said I'm hating on the Mexican men, I need to move on and let them get their money. I was speechless and walked off. What is wrong with us. Look at Kanye West, he is one of the biggest black rappers in hip-hop who went beyond mainstream in the industry along with others such as Jay-Z and Kendrick Lamar. Not many black rappers were able to go beyond mainstream as there’s even a few white rappers who never made it to go mainstream as well, that many know who weren’t able to reach the caliber Eminem was on. Eminem didn’t just make it because he was white as he made it for how really skilled he was as many knew he could rap and a few blacks I heard in interviews have spoke on how he really nice he was for the way he was rapping that a few didn’t feel the same energy with Kid Rock and Vanilla Ice.

_DJ Vlad is a culture vulture due to his controversial approach to interviewing and his role in hip-hop media. Vlad exploits the personal lives and legal troubles of primarily black artists for sensationalist content and personal gain, rather than fostering genuine cultural appreciation or contribution. His interviews frequently delve into provocative and potentially incriminating topics, which many perceive as a tactic to generate views and revenue at the expense of the interviewees' safety and reputations._
_This dynamic raises questions about the ethics of his journalism and his true intentions within the hip-hop community. Unlike figures who contribute creatively and culturally, DJ Vlad's involvement is opportunistic, leveraging the struggles and stories of black artists without adequately respecting or understanding the cultural context and significance of hip-hop._
_This perception positions him as someone who profits from the culture without contributing to its advancement or addressing its deeper issues, thus earning him the pejorative label of a culture vulture. It would be beneficial for the black community to not just label him a culture vulture, but they see him as a true cancer a vulture a vampire._
