I just love how encouraging you are! I've had fun making 2 hats! Your cheerful youthful voice is so sweet, I don't feel the instructor in you, more like a friend. I'm 73 so I've watched tons of instruction videos, heard lots of voices lacking the encouragement you offer. Wishing you well with all your endeavors!!❤
I just finished this hat on a whim. I had some really nice size 6 yarn and it was just the right amount for this hat. It's gorgeous! IG worthy! Thanks!
You are SO talented! The fact that you CREATED this pattern is amazing...and you teach it so well! I made one today and just love it! I am going to purchase a kit from your site to support you (also, I think you should see if Wool & Co. - Malabrigo Rasta Yarn, could provide you an affiliate link since you give them a shout out in your video because I did purchase from them) but I love your pattern and tutorial so much :) THANK YOU!!!
I can’t wait to make this! I’ve watched the tutorial and purchased the pattern and I have a question. When I’m starting the magic circle and make the 10 half double crochets and then do the invisible join, am I counting the invisible join in the next row? I’ve attempted this several times and I always end up with 11. So at the end of row 2 I have 22 instead of 20.
Thank you for the tutorial! I was wondering if we could get a dog ears tutorial? I bought the patter a bit ago and I struggle a lot to understand how to make them
Hey, there is a video tutorial linked in the full version of the pattern. Please send me an email or message me on Etsy and I would be happy to help you.
I’m still so new but trying to just get in there and learn! I don’t have any size 6 yarn but I have picked up several size 5 variegated yarns. Could I use those? Would I need to change hook size?
I bought the kit and really like it. My only complaint is that the hook is not Susan Bates and it is very hard to pull the yarn…the hook is very pointy. I like the yarn
Hey, it is just sally hanson, I think the color is called strobe light. Sometimes I try new colors but I always go back to this one because it’s simple but pretty lol
Hey, you could try using a bernat baby blanket if it is one of the soft new ones but it might be bigger. I have seen people make froggie hats with blanket yarn and it is really cute!
You could use a lighter weight yarn - 4 or 5. I made one with size 5 yarn and an 8mm crochet hook and it was too tight for my head so I will give it to my friend for her daughter. So depending on child size, you could size down yarn & needle and use the same pattern :)
I need more videos! You’re the first person that I was able to follow and complete something ❤ thank you!

@TheMom2braydon Yes it should be, just make sure your gauge is correct or it might not fit right.

Did you ever figure out what you were doing to get 11 because that is also happening to me

Thank you for this tutorial. May I ask what nail polish you’re wearing? ❤

@ thank you ☺️ I agree with you it’s very pretty✨
Aww it’s so cute 😄
Would Bernat blanket: size 6 would be fine? Or is using wool and acrylic yarns better for beanies?
Hey, you could try using a bernat baby blanket if it is one of the soft new ones but it might be bigger. I have seen people make froggie hats with blanket yarn and it is really cute!
Thank you for the tip! I shall try it 😄
Any suggestions if we want to size it down for a child?😊

What size crochet hook do I need
Hey, I use a 10 mm crochet hook.
@ thank you
Love this! Super easy to follow and I loved how it turned out. Where do you get your pompoms?
Wool and acrylic not blanket yarn too bulky
