i had no idea she got her layout stepout in the 2010 season, same with her swing-through aerial! i think replacing the double back handspring and press handstand with those moves really up'd the difficulty in her routine, this win was well deserved

apparently, she was losing interest before Dance Moms. It is quite normal for a lot of kids to lose interest in their early childhood hobbies as they become teens. They discover new interests (social and other hobbies), school becomes more demanding and the activity usually starts to involve more work and less games. My friend says her dance classes halved in size when she was a teen and there were six kids in my teen jazz class and hour music class also halved. Meanwhile our sports league downsized from 12 teams to 5.

The number of soccer teams at our school went from four in our final year of elementary school, to one the next year as so many kids quit. I don't think Brooke wanted to continue as she discovered being a teen
I do Irish step dance, and the music in the background of this dance is music my group does a dance to- it’s called “The Butterfly”! I found it interesting that the piece was used for such a similar message in two very different styles of dance.
