    Andy, i have never been a farmer or an engineer, so i will never ever question anything you do or any way you do stuff! At least not until the day comes that you, thru your videos, have teached me every thing you know! I think we both can aggree that that day will never come 😊 It is extremely interesting following you and your family via TH-cam! If my medicine could kill my pain and let my head function like before, i maybe could have used all you teach me (us) to something usefull...anyway at least i will die a lot smarter when the day comes😉

    Keep them coming brother You need to carry a 6 by 6 canvas or painters tarp to throw on the ground when your doing field repairs. No more looking for dropped nuts and bolts or tools or laying in the mud

    Sometimes, the spring on the LH side of the head is broken, and it will not allow the center height sensor to not work. To check if the spring is broken, move the flat metal pieces up and see if it returns back down by itself

    Those pots get sticky and it mess with the center sensor. I run cross that alot. If you look at eo1 address 22, 24 and 26 are the header control sensors.

    Seems like I remember we always had a header height issue when cutting wheat but hardly ever when doing beans our jd 25ft head would get trash and dirt underneath where you showed and it would get packed in and setup like bricks I even made started making sure I kept it cleaned out and that pretty much stopped the problem had a sensor go out once during harvest but you know that didn’t stop us lol great video hope you don’t have any more issues thanks for sharing

    Was watching you repair the sensor today as i work with body and fenders yuck yuck. I noticed that the back panel that the sensors mounted on is rumpled as well and pushed out from flat and straight you bent back the 90 degree but if you have any more trouble with it straightening that back plate should give you another 1/4 1/2 inch of inward movement for that sensor grab on to... if its of any help to you. And im just givin you some algorithm you might say..

    Andrew, how about reviewing the Dodge, Ford and Chevrolet pickups since you drive/own all three. I know that some people don’t want to hear negative feedback about their favourite vehicles, but it would interesting to hear your opinion of the pluses and minuses of the different pickups.

    Soumpin I use whenever working in field especially with small parts is thrown a small tarp down first. I usually will drop a small part it bounces and spend to much time looking.

  • @m.j.l.abulle9107
    @m.j.l.abulle9107 ปีที่แล้ว

    Interesting and informative Andy . ( and I thought the field may have been 2 way disced at too higher speed years ago ) Could the header lift cylinders be worn or indeed the valve that controls the header lift . Im only used to the 930 front , no electronics , just a nitrogen accumulator which pressures up as you get close to the ground I think .

  • @dougblasberg8244
    @dougblasberg8244 ปีที่แล้ว

    If you have a bolt that you can't reach the head to hold it in, you can use a flat bladed screw driver. Press the blade against the shank of the bolt threads so the bolt can't push back out. Then you can start the nut. You probably already know that trick.
