You actually dont want to use the aow with it because sleeping enemys get knocked down when hit by it making the aow worse because spinning slash always truecombos except against sleeping enemys i recommend having a mariahs exe to soft or hard swap to or using it with bleed if you want to use the aow since its better than any bleed halberd with spinning slash
@@nebei3740 I meant that one aow will apply sleep and it will apply on the third/last part of the aow. After it applies you could use something with a higher ar to finish them off.

Something I've found using Barbaric Roar Nagakiba is that you can whiff a running R2 in neutral, and then immediately charge your Roar R2 and hit them hard when they run in to punish. I find that people in duels almost always run in to whiff punish, but the range that the Nagakiba lets you keep them at allows you to pull this off consistently before they can actually hit you.

By my count, pretty much everything in ER is powerful now thanks to the new update. Fists, shields, katanas, axes, spears, greatswords, colossal swords, ashes of war... only a few classes left to test before confirming my suspicions.
I’m so happy about this update. I’ve always mained katanas because I love the moveset, but hated how the 1h attacks are useless in the face of passive poise. You can two hand or use heavy attacks, but those are more of mixups, and can’t carry your neutral game on their backs. A meta PvP weapon needs to have fast running attacks that can stagger, much like the halberd class, to be effective. With better poise damage, kiba finally feels like the jack-of-all-trades weapon it was supposed to be, and it’s no longer garbage on defense since the 1h r1 can pressure a rolling bull goat now, instead of just being a billboard that says “trade with me”.

Genuilnly just curious. How does Chanse take so little damage? He'll do a rivers of Blood 2 strike and it'll take like 50% of their HP bar then he will take the exact same attack and only lose like 10% HP.
Katana gameplay is my favorite. Love the selection elden ring has, but wish there were loads more and more samurai armor. The yari spear and yumi bow, odachi, kodachi, a proper wakizashi, rename the current one to a tanto and I'd be in samurai heaven. Now add a sekiro deflect parry on top of it? Whew I'd have way too much fun.

I know that set is pretty good but still, even against bull-goats my attacks do more than that. greatshield talisman? is there any more you can do to bump up your absorptions permanently besides armor plus a dragoncrest shield talisman?

Crouch and jump attack caused stagger, but weren't weapons you'd necessarily try to hyperarmor with. Always good weapons.
