No, not the bugs!! How will this feel like a proper Oblivion game without all the bugs? Seriously though, the team did very impressive work bringing a classic into the modern era and I can't wait to play it.
It won't be Skyrims levelling system. You'll have attributes such as strength, Willpower e.c.t and you'll level up by sleeping. Choosing your stat increases on level up. But you'll still be able to choose your perks too. Sort of like a middle ground.
I'm so impressed with this team's work and I'm really looking forward to this. I will need to see how this looks with a proper ENB, though. The vibe of Oblivion was so different. The vanilla look in Skyrim was intentially gritty, dark, barren, and it was totally acceptable for the province of Skyrim (even though an ENB definitely makes it better). But Cyrodiil in Oblivion had such vibrant colours. I loved walking through the West Weald. Walking that road from Skingrad to Anvil was so romantic (except for the bears and Oblivion gates). I'm not sure the vanilla Skyblivion will be able to pull that off feeling. The (slightly) more modern Skyrim engine sets expectations a bit higher. Anyway, I'm still hopeful, and even without it, as long as I can throw on a nice, bright ENB, I'll be happy.
Sadly, I was spoiled by skyrim before playing oblivion and made it hard to commit to oblivion for me. I am glad this is coming out and excited to finally dive into the experience and get to understand why it's so loved!
Yup. They made it very clear they will bring systems to the remake that aren't in Vanilla Skyrim but are in Oblivion. For example, custom class creation, underwater combat, spellmaking etc. I think these are technically the most ambitious changes in the remake because they need additional scripting and extra menus since Skyrim doesn't deliver frameworks to implement these systems out of the box.
@@sen7826 Yup. You can watch the latest dev diary, part 5 I believe. There you can already see some glimpses of the new menus. I think they look pretty neat
Bro, I'm soooo pumped for updated frostspire! And I miss my minion in the vampire dlc along with the pirates! Spent so long in oblivion... I would love to see more random oblivion gates! My favorite part was running through them! 😅
@@Cri11e Im not sure, but i believe a mod of this size will most likely be a third party website download. Luckily the devs promised an easy download. I will make a guide once it releases so subscribe if you want to see it.
How the mod will be distributed has not been decided on yet. It will have to be distributed somewhere where the large download size is not an issue. So, probably not nexus. And probably not the Skyblivion website either due to hosting costs.
SKYBLIVION?? HOW DO I GET IT WHEN ITS FINISHED? DO I BUY IT? DO I DOWNLOAD AND MOD IT INTO GAME"OBLIVION I GUESS"? OR HOW? WILL IT BE AS USUALL! TO HAR FOR ME TO MAKE IT WORK? DONT KNOW ANYTHING EXEPT HOW IT LOOKS! IT LOOKS MAZING! I HOPE I WILL PLAY IT SOON!
It'l be easy to mod Skyrim into Skyblivion. How it will be distributed is yet to be decided. But it's a free mod. So you'll download it from somewhere and then run the installer. You will need Skyrim and Oblivion to be installed.
It depends. Was the game created with unsafe dirty external files like some of the other community made stuff on Xbox.... If it was made with only internal game stuff then I'll play it Internal game assets are considered safe. External assets has always been considered unsafe.
All the 3D assets have been remade. Some vanilla skyrim assets are re-used but for the most part its new art assets. A bit of custom papyrus scripting here and there. But its all QA'ed and overseen by many people. It won't be available for consoles though. I think there's size limitations, along with no SKSE (skyrim script extender)
Unfortunately yes, it's on the skyblivion website you will need: a legitimate copy of Oblivion GOTY Deluxe (ALL DLC) and Skyrim: Special Edition. I don't believe it's because of the assets as they have reached out to Bethesda and have had to remake all the assets themselves due to the EULA? I believe the reason for needing oblivion is due to other Eula stuff and covering the modders from any potential lawsuit. This way there is no way to prove In a court of law that this mod hurt the potential sales of oblivion
"Almost here" in theory, but who knows in reality. It's well known in the gaming industry (and possibly in any industry) that the last 20% of the work takes 80% of time if you want a really polished product, so I'm quite worried that it's nowhere near done. But I hope I'm wrong.
Why do so many people keep saying that? It's like 80% complete. Why would they put 7 years into this version of the project only to abandon it at the last moment? Makes zero sense.
Looking forward to this game over anything else.
100% going to be better than avowed, however still looking forward to avowed.
@KenceezWhat you think about Bethesda also doing TES IV Oblivion this year?
@@skygames1990 Idk really, it is a bit unfortunate timing. we´ll have to wait and see. I will play both and cover both.
Same here. I'm not interested in this supposed remake.

Man, I can't wait to play Oblivion but with Skyrim's mechanics and leveling system.

Unironically more excited for this than any other upcoming games.

cabbage enb has been helpful in skyrim nolvus
you could always just use reshade and customize it yourself
Ive been waiting on this since highschool 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Release data?? Any info?
It's coming this year, 2025
Sadly, I was spoiled by skyrim before playing oblivion and made it hard to commit to oblivion for me. I am glad this is coming out and excited to finally dive into the experience and get to understand why it's so loved!

Will it have Spellmaking and enchantment-making?

It would be so hilarious to see Skyblivion beating Bethesda's rumored Oblivion remake at least on PC.
It could very well be the case, Bathesda is known for buggy releases.
But Bethesda isn't making the remake. It's some other studio that's working on it@Kenceez
@@SaurabhPandey-ow6ex Yeah, you´re right actually.
I didnt even know it was a different studio thats interesting, any idea what company?@@SaurabhPandey-ow6ex
@Kenceez Who's to say Skyblivion won't be.
Owning the anthology and not having a computer anymore, I'm excited but sadly I don't even have a ps5 for the official remake either lmao
Amazing 👏 🤩
Cool
I stumble upon this. I started with skyrim. I am currently playing skyrim nolvus v6. I will have to try this next!
Will it be ported to VR?
This should be on game pass and im 100% playing this.
Its not a game, its a mod. It will be free if you own skyrim and oblivion.
It will only be on PC.
will it be released to steam? Like Enderal: Forgotten Stories

There is a custom spell crafting system in Oblivion that will be present in Skyblivion.

These guys must be gutted, that Bethesda are already making the remake
from what's been leaked so far, what Bethesda is working on, is a remaster, not a remake, aka, Skyblivion will be the superior recreation
@lord_wither5605 hope so
@@dundeedrew35 Opposite for me, a Bethesda remake would have been way better, sad they went the "GTA: Definitive Edition" route
