I got two bubbles on my phone screen and prepping to wrap some vvivid ultra gloss Neptune blue from amazon. praying the wrap is flawless. been watching tons of paradox and Ck wrap channels
Not sure how I ended up here but very satisfying to watch. I don’t know much about car wrapping but I know that someone is really good at what they do when you come away from watching a video thinking “I reckon I could do that” because they made it look so effortless.
As a career auto tech, currently working at a body shop, must say that I love to watch your work, sir. I'll have to try this on my own car soon. Thank you for your videos...
F if there is orange peel. That was seriously difficult to wrap plus sand. All those contours and in-lays came out real smooth. And Paradox showed the all seeing eye at one point. Lol. Man that was an awesome wrap. I'm glad it wasn't just a rounded car like a thousand other videos and the close ups were clear and easy to follow. Candy apple wrap. Yep!
Whew you make that look so easy. I’ve watched tons of videos and about to try my hand at my first attempt this week starting tonight. I like the color and love that you showed a car without perfect paint and simple lines. I’m however starting with decent paint and a simple car. Lol. Little Miata for my daughter.
Good luck to you! I've been a window tinter for years, so SOME of the same techniques apply. Most importantly, be patient with yourself. Working on my wife's Land Rover. First project. Maybe a big mistake..lol but enjoying the process!!
@@dakinepineapple6315 well… we did it. Doesn’t look the greatest up close but my 17 yr old daughter did the work and she’s tickled so - her happy about it is all that mattered. It’s Vol orange and she loves it.
That's something I would love to do too but i had painted cars trucks and bikes with can spray, sometimes you have to stretch the blanket until you are well covered lolol.
You may not want it too smooth, having it a bit roughed up with a more porous surface could allow for a greater response when trying to bond the two materials. Could aid in a greater adhesion with a rough surface compared to that of a smooth, just a theory. The material of the wrap may eat up a lot of the imperfections resulting in still a smooth finish to the eye as well as touch.
@@yiannismcguire9118 It’s actually the opposite you want the surface close to being smooth as paint for the best results. Rough surface causes lifting and bubbles
Don't even have to be wet sanded just a finer grit would be just fine. Like 1000, maybe even 800 would work. Just smooth it up a but. Lol but hey, if this is a job and he's not getting payed to do body work then screw it. Not his problem.
The clear coat is the only thing protecting the metal from rust. Primer absorbs water. Most paint is water base so it absorbs into the primer. The wrap has holes in it to let air bubbles out and water will absorb into the holes and primer rusting the metal underneath.
as a painter and bodyman myself, I would never put a wrap on car in that condition. I can see all the sanding marks and imperfections in the wrap. Paradox does great work so this isnt him, but that looks terrible.
I can see the marks under the wrap on the mirrors and I don't even have a trained eye for these things. Looks cool in the video but up close it probably looks horrible.
So, are you saying the condition of the cars surface caused that, or the wrap job itself? I want to learn how to do this, just making sure I understand properly
I’ve just wrapped a van and this wrap looks so much more plyable, the way you can lift it back off the panel like a bed sheet and lay it down again makes the process look a lot easier that the more tackier wrap I worked with
You did a great job laying the wrap and no disrespect meant in any way at all just some friendly criticism after watching the whole video I had to go back and look at it again only I slowed it down because detail and perfection is a key point when laying a car wrap. I did notice several flaws and If you watch the video again slowly and pause it several times at different points and look at your edges and a couple corners you will notice where the flaws are. luckily you cant see it unless your really looking close and looking for things like that. other than that I think you did a standup job and I am no expert and probably never will be but i see a lot of potential in your car wrapping future. I hope my car turns out just as good as yours did.
Looks ok. A little more sanding and some spot putty perhapse. I just finished a no-paint wrap on my own vehicle, and it took forever, but it was a mess lol. I had to even replace the bed it was so bad. Everyone thinks it's been painted.
@@lxtermi1906 HAHAHA i have been a tinter for 10 years, iv been around know good from bad. his good for someone who does it from home. but the finish on that wrap was shocking
@@YOULTZY just think he has 179k subs and he sucks right?! Imagine if you made your own TH-cam channel and had more than 6 subs since you’re so good ya know? Shame you’re just on here talking shit being weird for no reason 😂😂😂
I think ya'll are missing the point. Paradox doesn't run an auto-body shop. He is a wrapper. Most all, if not all, his customers with rough condition cars take them to him to be wrapped with the very real understanding that he's not going to spend hundreds of hours bringing the surface back to pristine condition. It's like bringing your car to Maaco with dents and dings with no surface prep. The onus is on the owner, not the shop to do all the extensive prep work unless they're paying out the ass for the shop to do it. Dox did a damn fine job with the prep considering the circumstances.
This definitely peeled and bubbled up. For anyone wanting to do this, just know the vinyl doesn’t keep raw metal from rusting. If the surface doesn’t provide a good adhesion, it’ll bubble and peel.
Man it seems so much easier to paint it. Hopefully it's cheaper, but the level of patience to do this is insane.ive tried. Wrap seems to come off edges before paint would let go on me over time.anyway no body work and barely no prep helps the time? Great job.
Show this video to your local shady wrapping shop that tells you "oh your paint has to be in perfect condition for it to get wrapped, you need a paint correction for 900$ aswell" Great work!
Bro no hate at all but for what the wrap and those carbon fenders are worth he could have gotten a decent paint job and down the line wrapped it dope wrap respect the work but some clients man are a battle keep up the grind and vids!
I saw the whole video and I am never going to wrap anything. It was like a car accident I just couldn't look away... The Car Looks SWEET you did a very good job
Very neat process to watch. Pardon the wrap 101 question but, the steps when separate parts of wrap go together onto one panel. When one piece is applied, then the very thin wire stuff is put on, the other piece put on the other side, then the wire pulled up and the two parts of wrap married together, how does that part work? Does the resulting marriage look completely unbroken up close? It the wrap sealed at that point? Do those borders reopen overtime? It all looks really neat and I’d like to know more.
As a person who wraps cars I’d never wrap with bumpers lights or spoiler on and I’d have the customers deal with the body work and painting the edges lmao noooooo use primer 94 with PRIMER CARS ONLY

Hi ,
Am still new to car wrapping, which site is the best place to buy these vinyls please🙏
Can you use that wrap on 1;64 scale cars
I can barely get the air bubble to go when applying a screen protector on the phone. Can't imagine how flawless the car looks from wrapping it 😍
The phone screen protector is actually harder because wrap has air release channels

This was super hard to do by yourself. Good job. I've done a wrap job before but with another guy helping me and it was way harder than it looks.
I enjoyed the "rawness" of this video. No music and just time-lapse was a nice change

I’ve just wrapped a van and this wrap looks so much more plyable, the way you can lift it back off the panel like a bed sheet and lay it down again makes the process look a lot easier that the more tackier wrap I worked with
