Thank you so much for the visit. I like your restart sweater better than the other one. Your sea horses are wonderful, and your little pillow is cute. I love short videos, so I never feel sorry when it is short.
I really really LOVE your fox gloves! I love the soft look the alpaca provides! They look soft and cozy and beautiful! AND, I'm for sure with you about ripping back the honeycomb sweater and going with the simple plain flax light. There's just something classic about it. It looks GREAT and like it'll be a favorite to reach for and wear!!
Hi Tina, lovely to see you and your crafty show and tells! I love the foxy mitt.....it looks amazing! Take care of yourself and enjoy the long weekend x
Hi Tina! Thanks so much for dropping in and sharing your projects! Love your Flax - and think it was the right decision. Do enjoy the rest of your summer and we'll be here when you get back!! ❤
Don't be so hard on yourself Tina , it great to see you pop on anytime , I won't say how many times I've cast on the Cotton Tail socks by Marie-Elyse Dugal on the Sunday Funday cardi sooo I'm going sit and ignore them 🫣🤭😂😂, enjoy the weekend and being in the garden, love the foxy mitt and the pillow , a very talented lady 😍 see you next time xx
Hi Tina Lovely to see you as always. Great work on the sheep cross stitch, very cute. Wow those mitts are brilliant, well done. You don't have to apologise for not doing a podcast sooner, crafting is a hobby so don't feel pressured to do a podcast as when you do one it is always lovely to see you with all your wips, finishes etc. so just enjoy your crafting. Take care and have a lovely week Amanda from Lincolnshire xxxx 😀😀🦊🪡🧶
Hey, Tina! I am glad all is well with you. I enjoy your content very much. I fully appreciate needing a break from the routine and wanting to enjoy a little time away. Thank you for this video and explanation. Take care
I’m glad your doing ok, we sometimes forget that what you do can be very draining emotionally and it takes a lot of your time, Hopefully you can just relax enjoy your knitting and cross stitching and take sometime for yourself. I know I really appreciate you and looking forward to your next podcasts.🙏🥰
Thank you so much, I really enjoy sharing through the videos but sometimes I realise I'm thinking what should I do , not what do I want to do. I don't want to fall into the content creation mindset . I want to share what is making me happy and excited to hopefully inspire and entertain other crafters 😊
Your change of mind with Andrea Mowry pullover was good. Flax is looking great, gorgeous color. Happy to see that I am not alone when it comes to ripping. Color and yarn type is important.
I miss you and your gentle humor and commentary but I'm glad you pulled back and gave yourself a break. This is a lot of work! And we want you to be as enthusiastic about doing it as 2 as about watching it!
Lovely to see you and enjoy crafting, not stressing over time and videos. Like a good friend who visits are enjoyed even if there is a while between visits.
So pleased to see you, and that you are well Tina. I did miss you. Your Flax is going to be lovely, but I also loved Andrea Mowrey's sweater. You made the right decision though, it's no good carrying on, if you don't love it. Too much work! You've inspired me to make a Flax.
nice to see you Tina, I haven't seen you for a bit, I was very happy knitting socks with you, I'd never knitted socks before, so I enjoyed your easy tutorial, it's been a while, I'm now thinking I'd like to learn how to knit socks on 9" circulars, I love all your crafts you are so inspiring, only do what gives you joy Tina, we all have moments, thank you for sharing your progress.
No need to beat yourself up Tina, we all get times like these, give yourself a summer break. We’ll all still be here when you come back refreshed. Big hug xx❤️
It was lovely to see you and your gorgeous projects. I'm pleased to hear that you're well and enjoying the summer. Our crafts are meant to bring us joy and happiness, not stress, so you continue doing what you're doing, and we will see you whenever you want to show us what you've been "up to" 😊
Gorgeous colour your socks, it's a pity it's discontinued and the mitt looks really autumnal and fun to knit and to wear, I might knit them myself this autumn 🧤🧦🧶 I find the Flax Light version of your mustard colour sweater really nice. I like the simple knits!!! You know my love for the "Hand wash only", and you did a fantastic job finishing it like that. I love it. Now please stitch the rest of them 😜 Nice progress on the "Shell we dance" and I love the colours on the "Spring topiary garden" project I hope you'll fix the mistake easily, it's never fun when that happens 😐 Looking forward to your next video, enjoy your long weekend 🥰🧵🪡🧶
I absolutely prefer the plain gold sweater. I think the honeycombed on the other sweater looks best when they are small, but it seems to get messy looking and it also looks like it will catch on everything. Definitely refer the raglan for you.
Totally agree, enjoyment is what it is about. Just completed a Stephen West Dustland cardigan in Soft cotton and like you, there was nothing about it I liked so ripped it back. No point in having something in the wardrobe that isn't going to be worn. Yarn is too expensive to waste.
Lovely to see you Tina. Crafting should always be enjoyable without pressure, so you should enjoy the summer and we’ll still be here when you come back 😊
I was only thinking about you the other day and realised that I hadn't seen you for a while. Glad to hear you are OK. Love the mitt, he's so cute! Take care.
Au contraire, I think your new mustard color sweater is exciting to see. Just the way the raglan is gives a really pretty touch. Love that pretty cross stitch turned into a pillow. It is soooo cuuuute. And those gloves. Sweet! I totally get how you just want to do what you want to do with no rushing but just know you will be missed and I'll be looking forward to the end of September when we see you again. xoxo
Vixen looks nice and relaxed too. I’m down to 1 project and hanging out in the garden. Think we all need a blast of cold air to get our knitting juices flowing. See you in September 😊
Hi Tina, so happy to see your video this evening ! We all need to take a break and enjoy the different seasons and what we like doing. I love the Flax. I noticed you didn't do the garter section on the sleeves. I think I'm going to try knitting it without the garter sections too. I keep messing up on those sections and had to start over a couple of times. I'm determined to keep trying, l really want to knit a sweater! See you again in a few weeks.😊
You can blame any & all “slumps” on the weather. I do, because…why not? And I feel the sweater frog! I need to do this on one… ended up too big. Big-ger would’ve been okay, but… raglan sleeve incs ended at mid-bust… nah. Currently making red LettLopi Felix cardi. Perhaps I’ll make another Felix w the frogged one (in naughty corner, or patiently awaiting its fate…sigh). The little sachet is adorable! It’s so cute! Enjoy the last of summer!
U were missed. So sorry for the burn out. I guess we can't let our hobbies consume us. Ugh! 😊 Luv the mitts. I'm trying to learn what yarn fabric works for diff patterns. 🥴 Thanks for sharing.
@@Simplyinstitches 😅I'm not a pro like u that I can adjust patterns like u. I hate math so no adjustments for me. (Famous last words) I will have to notify u for adjustments. 😄
Hi Tina. Lovely to catch up with you. I agree with you that the summer months keep you busy with non craft related things which we also enjoy. I am very behind with watching all the crafty videos I like to watch, mainly because I have had the boys a lot and I try to discourage them from watching TV/TH-cam too much so have to practice what I preach! I love your mittens and they look so cosy in a fluffy yarn. I fancy that honeycomb jumper pattern myself. I thought it looked great when you held it up although I do understand that you didn't like the look of the purl stitches. I have a pattern that has a lot of purl stitches on the main side and didn't like the look and also undid it. Your cross stitch sheep pouch is a good idea. I made the Nag Nag Nag one which is a bit on the wonk so wouldn't look good in a frame but possibly would as a pouch. Thanks always for all your inspiration. Enjoy the rest of the summer. X
Thanks Anita, I'm glad you're spending a lot of time with your grandsons. Crafting can wait, as mum's we know how fast they grow up. Making memories is the best use of your time 😃
It's crazy, just a few hours ago I posted on your last video that I wanted to make sure all was well. Happy to hear that you were just doing life stuff and all is okay. I did hear you say it may not be until the end of September before you post again. Enjoy your summers end and fall start. Take care and I will see you the next time.
Hi Tina! So glad to see you back! I was worried you were unwell. No need to apologize for not appearing-we all need to take a break or we get burned out!! I am looking through your projects to see if you have a color work tutorial as I am working on the Alpine Bloom and ready to stick a fork in my eye as I am stumbling with color work chart reading!😜
I use a sticky post it note to keep me on track but you can also use magnetic strips sold for knitters . I have also coloured it in before when my colours aren't the same and it messes with my brain 🤣 good luck
Hi Tina. Good to see you. So glad you’re okay & enjoying life. I was wondering if you were ok. Thanks for sharing your lovely pieces. It’s great to take time to ‘self nurture’ so take care & enjoy ❤
@@Simplyinstitches good to know all is well. Getting back to normal is always a good thing. Hopefully you will be back to making videos. Take care and hope to see you soon.🙏🧶😊
No I didn't, I wanted to allow as much fragrance through the fabric . This may not be the best for the longevity of the stitching but I'm not worried about that 😁
Thanks. I love lavender and have so much growing in my garden. I will try your idea. Longevity is no longer a priority for my stitching either. 😊 I stitch for my own enjoyment/relaxation. My crew are going to donate it all anyway 😂while pondering why I need so many different colors of thread. Thanks for keeping the stitching/knitting life real. ❤
Always happy to see your videos pop up, but completely understandable wanting to take time off... stitching in the garden sounds heavenly. I love the finished piece it's adorable 🤩... How fast you've come with the new sweater 😅 love how fast you knit... looking forward to the September video 🥰
Great catch up Tina and thank you for sharing your lovely projects with us. We all need a break sometimes so no need to apologise. Happy crafting 😊😊x
