I was severely disappointed to know she got killed off offscreen during the events in between Gears 3 to Gears 4

Killing off a main character like Anya for “negative space” was absolutely the worst thing TC did. It added nothing and there was so much they could’ve done with her, heck if you wanted to kill her off, do it in game OR AT LEAST IN A BOOK.
Biggest oof and I get sad when I read the new books with her in them, or hearing the JD -Anya multiplayer banter.

She died during a second fertility treatment and so did the potential child. She was deemed infertile during the war and became a control operator but after the war she signed up for jinns experimental birth program. That’s how Marcus and her got jd but she tried for another and passed.
