Only if you want to have access to the system over the cloud. If the Akuvox setup is offline, there are no monthly fees. You must also have a dealer account with us to purchase Akuvox.
There are annual fees associated with Akuvox, but how those fees are delegated is totally up to the dealer and their client. It's not out of the ordinary for tenants to be charged, but it's not required either. In terms of pricing, that's information we can only share with dealers.

@@NellysSecurity if used for a multi-family dwelling, seems like a dubious way for the building owner to violate tenant privacy and keep track of GPS and who goes in and out and what deliveries and guests. Privacy is a choice and right.
The Akuvox app does request GPS permission, but it is not required to function. That said, even if you enable GPS on the app, your building owner will not have any access to that data. As far as seeing who is entering and exiting their property, that's the case with any access control system like this.

I realize that I am an end user but I did not get a cellphone or Wi-Fi to use this system. I know that is not the fault of Akuvox and it is the fault of the property owner but the property owner has been very scandalous and uses this process for deceptive practices while some in the building have free Wi-Fi and I do not. Plus I don't like people tracking my visitors taking their pictures and those of delivery people since I don't have an agreement with Akuvox I have never gotten any emails from the property owner about the system. Now I receive an email that my account has to be renewed. I never signed up for an account in the first place. This is identity theft. Scandalous.

This Akuvox Intercom claims to meet the IEEE 802.3af standard for Power over Ethernet (PoE) but there seems to be a violation of the isolation requirements outlined in Chapter 33.4.1 of the standard. Providing non-isolated (from PoE) power to the metallic strike and signals through non-RJ45 connectors could be misleading to users and potentially pose a threat to their health and safety.
I wouldn't recommend wiring it this way. You should always break power on mag locks, otherwise eventually the maglock wears into the frame, finds its own ground and then it can't unlock with the way you wired it.

You would need to add it to the cloud via the mac address and it should auto-fill that information for you. Let me know if this works!

The inside can have a request to exit button for example or PIR motion exit sensor to unlock the door.

In new versions of firmware it is located in Access Control>Cards> (Left Side Menu)
I would not recommend using the relay on the akuvox as anyone can rip it off the wall and give them access I would recommend a web relay
